The project has been active since 2008 and supports a massive amount of cards. Wagic is especially adapted to mobile devices (PSP, iPhone, iPad, Android,…) but also works on Windows and Linux PC. Wagic works on Windows, Linux, the nokia N900 (maemo), the Nokia N9 (meego), Android (tablets and phones), iOS(iPhone/iPad/iPad2) and the Sony PSP (Wagic does not require you to hack your PSP).
The latest official version is version 0.18.6. For more recent versions, please check our SVN builds thread here
Each release is extensively tested on several machines including my own PSP/Computer/Android phone. However Wagic is a work in progress so please check the buglist.

Updating Wagic
PSP/Windows
If you have version 0.16.1 or lower, it is recommended that you erase your current Wagic install and reinstall from scratch. Go to our forums for detailed help on how to keep your progress
If you have version 0.17.0 or higher, follow these steps:
- IF you have mods: It is recommended that you delete all mods from your current Wagic install
- Erase all files named core_*.zip in your Res folder (Note: this is not compulsory but strongly recommended for performance reasons)
- Simply extract the zip into your existing Wagic installation folder, in order to overwrite the current binary (EBOOT.PBP on the PSP, and Wagic.exe on windows). You’re done
Android
- If you have version 0.17.1 or lower, first uninstall your current installation of Wagic (in “Manage applications”)
- It is strongly recommended to delete all “core_*.zip” files from your current Wagic installation. This is not done automatically! Keeping these files should not prevent the game from running, but could yield weird results and will be bad for performance
- Once the two previous steps are done, install the Wagic apk like you would install any other third party application
If your android refuses to install a new version of Wagic, please make sure that you uninstalled the previous version. We had to change out certificates recently (in 0.18.0) which prevents Android from installing wagic 0.18 over a previous 0.17 install.

Linux Version
We don’t officially support the linux version, it is distributed here for convenience. However if you have issues running Wagic on *nix, ask for help on the forums, you might be lucky and a good soul could have an answer for you

Hello. After installing the new version on android i have some problems. I have samsung note. The only key that i can bind is the back button.Volume Up , Down and menu can not be associate(unlike 0.17). It will be good to have a button in the options menu to exit it, because when there is no button bind to back, the option setting could not be exited and saved. Otherwise great work guys. If there could be multiplayer, the game will became a great competative to magic online. But i know there must be made big changes. Hope you think about it:)

I like your work and i want to play this game all the time :3
But this time, i loaded your new WTH0.18.6 For Windows, it won´t open. I erased the old data.
When I try to open (double click on Wagic.exe), it shows me the small windows 7 load circle but nothing happens. I looked at the taskmanager, but i couldn´t find anything.

i accidently installed the game in chinese…is there anyway for me to turn it into english? i cant find any options

the options menu is the red icon
then you want to click on the “advanced” tab, which is the 4th tab in the options. The language is the first option at the top.Once you set the language, press start, and select the first result (save an exit).
You should now be in the language of your choice for the interface, although you need to restart the game for the full database to be refreshed

Wagic is a terrific game, but I have hit a bug. Every time I cast Coalition Victory, the game freezes and shuts down.

A great addition to the android version of the game would be to make it turn based like words with friends. So you can stop and start play.

Its worthless anyways iv tryed playing several games and on most of tgm i only got one or 2 pieces of land before i was killed atrifacts enhancements and sorcery dont work half the time and whn u block you always lose that card no matter what this is indeed wagic and not magic uninstalled oh yea im running android

All thecards are extensively tested and work fine. If you find bugs with specific cards, please report them. There is no known bug with blocking so what you describe is unlikely. Finally, if you dont have enough lands you might want to build better decks. This will happen as you get more credits to buy more cards.

Yes, but for that you need VHBL. VHBL is not available for now unless you have one of the exploitable games, but we are working on a new release of VHBL soon

Hi. I downloaded WT H0.18.6 For Windows, but when i try to use it i get an error message “An unhandled win32 exception occured” and then it tries to debug using visual basic or something like that. I have Windows XP 32-bit. Do you know what can be causing this?

I installed Wagic 0.18.6 on my iPod Touch 2G on iOS 4.2.1
but when I start it it always crashes, what’s the problem??-
I don’t know iDevices very well, but you need at least the iphone 3GS for good graphics support. If your iPod was released before the iPhone 3GS, there is a risk it is too old to support Wagic.

Hi just to say the game rocks! Still learning to play (like using mana in Upkeep… – untap unused mana would be great) but it’s FUN as hell – always wanted to play that game but not had a chance. Bought 8th edition starter pack ages ago and tried playing with my wife but she wasn’t keen at all. Why WotC didn’t release MtG as a proper iphone/android app is beyond me. They miss on $$$ bucks big time. anyway, **** them – can’t praise what you did enough!
Using Galaxy S3 – UI is a bit fiddly sometimes though I know it’s a port… what annoys me is that it freezes once the phone goes to sleep – possible bug? Also saving a game would be great.

Every time I play a game.. I tap the correct amount of land and it still doesn’t let me play the card. It happens in 100% of games. I’m using swamp if that matters, but I can’t win a game because my cards don’t play.

What version of wagic do you have, and on what platform? Did you modify the game in any way, for example by adding card pictures?

I continually make the mistake of tapping my lands during the draw phase, forgetting to skip to main 1. You can only cast instant spells outside of the main 1/2 phases.

I try to install Wagic on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 with Android 4.0.
After installation of the game, I start the game and it starts to download a zip-file. After downloading it gives the message: “Failed to initialize storage space for the game. Please verify that your sdcard or internal memory is mounted properly.”
I tried to install the game both on my internal memory and external sdcard, which both have plenty of free space.
What am I doing wrong?

Not sure. try to manually download the zip file and put it in /Wagic/Res on your sdcard.

Hello, just got a Galaxy S4 and have the same problem as McHuberts. The solution was to manually download the zip and transfer it to your SD card. I’m not doing this correctly, because when I try to run wagic it just tries to download the zip file again. Could you please go thru the steps in doing this, appreciate any help. Thanks

I can compile to PC no problem. I’d like to know how compile to Android (to test current SVN, I have Android 2.3.4 on my phone). I’ve searched the net and forums but there are no guidelines or steps on how to compile/port to android. I already have Android NDK, SDK, ANT and VS-Android. haven’t done it in a while, but:
1 – compile the c++ sources by typing “ndk-build” in the wagic android folder
2 – open the eclipse project, it should compile automatically
3 – done-

I reported this as defect 929. Sometimes I should pause playing and then can see that Wagic hangs so I should restart duel once again. Second reason is that testing for defects is better to do using latest build… So I will be glad if you could send latest SVN Android build to my enail vladimir_gl(at)mail.ru

First, this is a great game. I downloaded it for psp and it’s amazing. do you think you can make it compatible with java phones like lg gs390 prime? also i play a lot of yugioh but my tag force 5 disc stopped working and i dont feel like buying a new one (poor) could some one make a yugioh mod for this? i suck at coding. I cant get my Android device to connect to the internet where can I get the User/RES files for the Android?

Didn’t know where else to go, the Wagic forum wouldn’t let me register.
Said my email was not allowed to be used, but I used the same email to register to talk forum, so I tried an alternate Gmail account, and it said the same thing.
I just had some issues for Wagic on both Windows and IOS platforms. On iOS, it seems the game isn’t registering my taps right. Say for example: I’m in the deck editor, and I tap on “filter”. It will display stats instead of letting me choose a filter. Or when I get it to actually go to filter, I’ll click on “Add filter” and add, let’s say green cards only”. When I try to click done, it will usually register that I’m pushing clear. Or if I try to add a secondary filter, and then want to cancel, it still says “card” like it’s waiting for me to put a filter in, but I can’t get rid of it even if I try to push cancel on it’s drop-down list.
It’ll also start displaying stats if I hover over a card to read it’s effect, which gets in the way a bit.
I guess I don’t know how the navigation is supposed to work, or if it’s just buggy. I can’t even get it to work because I try to tap something, and it registers my tap as something else.So for the PC version, I downloaded it, made sure I have visual++, but it still won’t run. It just says “Wagic.exe has stopped working”

I used 0.13 now I use 0.18.6But, certain card can’t use their ability such as “Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief, black card, 4/4 creature in ROE sets. The ability is “XBB, target creature get -0/-X”
It worked in 0.13.. Is there something I missed?
