Hey people, April is coming soon, and it is bringing the Easter Bunny with it. I have been thinking for a while of a nice contest to have with a cool prize in it. Homebrew contests are great (I did organize a huge homebrew contest back in 2011 with insane cash prizes) but difficult and long to organize. They also are restricted to developers.

With Easter coming soon, I had the opportunity to start a fun and simple contest that everyone can take part in: We’re going to hide easter “eggs” on the website. The Eggs will not be made of chocolate (mostly because sending chocolate through the intertubes could damage our server and reduce your internet speed), but they will contain PSN Codes.

And because I didn’t want this contest to be only fun, but also epic, we are giving away not $50, not $100, but $1000 in PSN Codes!

Guest blogger The Jay Doctor mentioned it a few days ago, a movie based on acclaimed PS3 Game “The Last of Us” is in the works. “The Last of Us” grabbed many awards, and was nominated for “Game of the Year 2013″ in more than 15 famed events. IGN’s review of the game in particular, says “The Last of Us seamlessly intertwines satisfying, choice-based gameplay with a stellar narrative”.

For those of you who have played the game, you already know how close to a movie the experience feels like. If a game was to ever be made into a movie, The Last of Us would be the best choice.

So what could possibly go wrong with this?

It’s my birthday this month, so I’ve decided to treat myself with a new headset, and why not get the official PlayStation headset? Here’s my thoughts about it, but I’m no audiophile, so for those expecting something about hertz and gigastuff, you’ve come to the wrong review… but their are plenty of pictures! We’ve mentioned some progress on PS3 emulation a few weeks ago, and it was pointed out to me that we forgot to mention one of the most promising PS3 emulators out there: RPCS3.

I’m now fixing this mistake, and today is a good opportunity to do so, since the devs behind the project were able to claim a significant milestone last week: the possibility to run a commercial game within the emulator. The “guinea pig” for this experiment is a PSN game named “Swap”, which I assume was chosen because of the limited amount of functionality it uses on the PS3 (making it an “easy” game to run on the emulator).
