is it safe to change 3.65 enso to h-encore?

    • Rean

what’s the pros to change from 3.65 enso to h-encore? can we play 3.65+ games on 3.65 h-encore?

      • chocolatecake

actually vita usb mode not working since im upgrade from 3.60 enso to 3.65 enso, that’s why i hope h-encore would fix it

        • TehCupcakes

H-encore is a different vulnerability that is used as an entry point for hacking the Vita. It will not change anything about compatibility once Henkaku is installed. It’s literally running the same version of Henkaku.

    • Doug

I want to know that too. i am on 3.65 enzo. I dont want to do anything wrong

    • pez2k

It is safe, but it doesn’t make sense to do so.

h-encore does the same sort of thing on 3.65, 3.67 and 3.68 that the original HENkaku did on 3.60 – every time you start up the Vita you need to run the exploit to enable homebrew, plugins and so on.

Enso is a ‘cold-boot’ exploit, which means that your Vita is effectively always hacked without needing to run HENkaku or h-encore every time you start up the console.

You can use HENkaku to install Enso on 3.60, or use h-encore to install Enso on 3.65. On 3.67 and 3.68 however, Enso no longer works so you must run h-encore every time you start up your Vita. The best solution currently is installing Enso on 3.60 or 3.65.

    • Nio9345

h-encore is an entry point, like henkaku used faults in the built-in browser to exploit the device and install the hack and then use the Enso Installer, h-encore uses a flaw in the FAT filesystem (hence the requirement for some kind of storage present) in order to install henkaku and VitaShell that way. as for version preference, that depends on you. If you have games until 3.65 then install the permanent 3.65 Enso CFW or for 3.67-3.68 games use h-encore after every reboot.

    • Riku

h-encore is just a method of accessing Henkaku for those who aren’t able to. Installing h-encore on a device that already has enso is literally pointless.

A big thank you to everyone who put there hard work into bringing the hack to the world

  4. thx1138

silly question how can you tell if your psvita/pstv is linked ,i am on 3.60 running HENkaku Enso

  5. ivaner88

How can we use Qcma on 3.65OFW when I connect with wifi/lan Content manager on vita tv asks for update?
Qcma FW 0.00 (Always up-to-date) and offline mode and ignore local file2-updatelist.xmml…. are turned on.

  6. Oscar Marte

    Isntalled and working Perfectly

  7. Be Good

I’m curious, could TheFlow just upload the ending folder that goes in qcma or are there differences between psvitas that require different keys?

  8. Randomguy

So if you are on 3.65 but no psn account connected you have to update to 3.68? Or can you link a psn account without updating?

  9. Tsukki

Hmm i´m on pstv 3.65 vitaupdateblocker doenst seem to work for me, i ´m at the step to transfer h-encore with qcma to the pstv and i always get the message to update to 3.68. What can i do?

  10. kok0roki

but you cant login without updating the device :V

    • StepS

You can, use the HENkaku DNS.
Also you don’t even need a full sign-in or activation for CMA. As long as it is linked, you can transfer files (and if it asks you to update, just rebuild database via recovery mode)

  11. TheTechDoc

Awesome work Flow! man on a mission for years with the vita, question though that hasn’t seemingly been mentioned, any possibility of a vpk updater for those running henkaku 3.60 already? or must the guide be followed regardless?

  12. jose sanabria

me parece que no es accesible el h-core para los usuarios sin conocimiento avanzado, esperamos a que lo sintetizen como henkacu ya que es muy dificil para los que no manejamos este dilema .

  13. Felgerian

I followed everything in the readme twice, but I keep getting a C2-12858-4 error when i try to transfer h-encore back to my Vita. Any ideas?

  14. yhruiho

I didn’t understand what to do in part 9 can someone help me plz?

  15. Stranger One

Please make a detailed video on h-encore step by step. So that beginners like us could not face any error.

  18. IrTiQa

First to read it and comment was waiting for all day to get it.
Thanks for the good work finally my PS VIta is going to be jailbroken.

  19. cyberkevin

I didn’t know that the PSN Sppof will be enabled by default, and when I had to download VitaSHell, my Vita jsut logged on PSN… I see nothing in my activities about the H-Loader, but I’m really worried about my PSN Account…

Still, now my PSN is logged out of auto-login, and my PSVita always on airplane mode, and PSN Spoof disabled, hope it’s enough to be sure ton not ban my account…

  20. Jomafer

    Hi,

I got a brand new Vita Fat on OFW 3.61, I never bothered to make a PSN account nor did I ever link the device to a PSN account.

I see that it says i need the device to be at least link to one in order to update to OFW 3.65. i do i link it?

Going to the sign up for an account always tell me to update to OFW 3.68, but i want to be able to install Enso.

    Thanks in advance.

PS: I hae been trying to update my vita through Open CMA but everytime i do so by connect to PC to update it return an messages saying Could not connect to PC Error C0-12037-3 (Vita clearly is connected, but gets disconnected as soon as the messages is shown)

Nor I am able to update to OFW 3.65 trought the WiFi method (https://vita.cfw.guide/guide/updating-to-3.65/), it always return error C3-12077-7

I did everything correctly and copied h-encore to my vitaTV but the application will not boot — “Insert a PS Vita card that contains this application”

  22. migo

    Quite the Trip!

  23. Banan312

    Works like a charm.

  24. Jotaro

    YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!

  25. wfcynnart

is there a chance of getting beaned from sony

  26. kublai

How do you get SD2VITA to work?

  27. Marpet0805

Doesnt work. Qmca crashes whenever i try to copy it to ps vita. I followed the steps. But Qmca just shuts down. Takes a while for ps vita to realize that its no longer connected.

  28. Pepe Problemas

Debería hacer TheFlow el vídeo tutorial de la instalación y conseguir dinero subiéndolo a youtube, así nos ayuda mejor y nosotros lo ayudamos.

  29. wickedchew

    1st…niceee hack of vita!!

  30. Retroisbest

Got everything to work but my sd2vita shows up as vs0 and system shows my 16gb memory card still , how do I set my vita2sd card to show as ux0? (128gb shows in vita shell as vs0)

  31. Bhen

Hi so if I already have 3.65 Enso doI still need to install this one? because Imanage to install the H-Encore but when I click Install it automatically say success but on system setting it still says 3.65 (some Japanesse text )O

    • Steliosaa

H-Encore is to activate unsigned code on OFFICIAL SONY STOCK Firmware 3.65 or 3.67 or 3.68.
For 3.60, you can use Henkaku to make it run unsigned code.

Enso is a modification to run the Exploit automatically during Boot (when you power on your PSVita) so you dont need to do it yourself.
Enso only works on 3.65 and it is done via “Enso Installer”.
Enso Installer works on 3.60 (unsigned code activated via Henkaku) or 3.65 (unsigned code activated via H-Encore)
They are both the same. So no need to go from 3.65Enso (installed via 3.60) to 3.65Enso (installed via 3.65)

H-Encore is a big deal if you want to update to stock 3.68 and then use H-Encore to activate unsigned code.
There is no Enso on 3.68 so you will have to run the exploit every time you boot up your PSVita by yourself.

    • TehCupcakes

If you intend to stay on 3.65 and already have enso there is no reason to mess with h-encore. Only if you intend to update to 3.67/3.68 (in which case you would lose enso, but could install h-encore simply by running the app after each reboot.)

  32. rYugen

Great work. Already played some Pokemon Red 😉

  33. ivaner88

    I am having a problem.

I am following TheFlow guide, but when i try to copy prepared h-encore file on Vita TV (C2-12856-2) error
appear and Qcma closes on my PC. I am on fw 3.65 and using vitaupdatebloker v1.2

Anybody know what (C2-12856-2) error is?

  34. Doug

Can you do the hack if you are on 3.65 enzo? If not what do you do to remedy that?

  35. mycomment

    Blocking comments from appearing eh?

  36. Dragwar

should i backup my games first???

  37. Jgr9

I’m probably sticking with 3.60. Only possible thing I can think of currently, possibly is Twitch unless there is an actual way to get it usable on 3.60 again. Other than that, I personally don’t have/see any reason for updating.

  38. Doc Bo

After update to 3.65 enso, can i reinstall it if needed, like on 3.60?!
I heard reinstalling enso on 3.65 was not possible in an earlier version.

  39. HappymyvitanotIDU

Just in case anyone is wondering, this exploit also works if your vita is in IDU mode.
