PS4: Dat/UnDat tools released to decrypt/encrypt index.dat file
Scene veteran Zecoxao has released UnDat and Dat tools to decrypt and encrypt the index.dat file on your hacked PS4.
In itself, the set of tools will not be useful for the general population. However index.dat contains the version.txt file, which is apparently a critical component for firmware version spoofing on Sony consoles (at least on PS3 and PS Vita). Specifically, people have been saying that modifying this file is one of the necessary pieces to access PSN services from a hacked console. (Along with X-passphrase, allegedly).
This probably goes without saying, but assuming PS4 firmware spoofers are made available in the future that would let users access Sony’s PSN from a hacked console, I strongly advise against using such tools. They’re in complete breach of Sony’s Terms of Services and could get your account or console permanently banned.
As others have mentioned, if you want the best of both worlds, I strongly suggest you get one console for hacking and another one for everyday gaming.

Could this lead to spoofing firmware versions to allow games that require above 4.55+ to play on 4.55 or lower? ie Yakuza 6 (US) requires a min version of 4.76.
spoofing the ps4 software version has nothing to do with being able to play games that require a higher version than whats installed
Guess I just gotta wait for the 5.05 kexploit to release before I can play Yakuza 6. Bummer.

Def worth it, I gave up too being that I was already past 4.05 or whatever and not waiting for anything on 5.05. God of War is *** amazing, btw. It is hands down the best looking game I have ever seen, especially in 4K/HDR!! The action and combat is just “crunchy” and brutal and awesomely satisfying!
