Nintendo Switch’s latest firmware fixes Gyro Aiming.
Nintendo released a new firmware for their most admired Nintendo Switch a few days ago. (4.1.0) There was no official word from Nintendo that the company was going to fix this problem, however some players have happily said the update has fixed their issues with gyro aiming for camera in games like Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Skyrim, and Splatoon 2.
The problem many players faced was the camera automatically drifted to the side and the gyro needs to be stabilized before the camera could be fully functional. It is nice players can now use this feature on their Nintendo Switch and have no hassles.
Patch Notes: (for update 4.1.0 which includes this fix)
- Resolved an issue that caused motion controls to respond incorrectly when playing games that use the feature
The issue was not reported on all games that use gyro aiming, however Zelda and Splatoon 2 had the problem and now is fixed and fully functional. For anyone who regularly plays games with gyro gaming on the Nintendo Switch, this is certainly the time to celebrate.
How can I update my Nintendo Switch to 4.1.0?
1. If your Nintendo Switch is connected to the internet, your console will download the update automatically.
2. Once the download is complete, you’ll be asked if you’d like to install the update. Be sure to save any game progress before you continue.
3. When you’re ready to install the update, choose “update” to install. Your console will restart to complete the update.
i guess something’s afoot here
UNO!
They want as many people as possible on 4.1.0 before 34c3.
This issue has been going on since the Switch released, back in what? March?
Way to go, Nintendo…
Did they fix the left “Joycon” weaker rumble than the right one yet? Or is it a hardware issue?
I believe they have fixed the issue.
No thanks. I am staying with 3.0.0.
