Adrenaline Bubble Booter VPK edition released for Adrenaline-6: Setup process easier than ever with VPKs
ePSP game bubbles have been something that a lot of PSVita users have desired on FW 3.60 for quite a while as they were available on some older ePSP hacks. Now, thanks to “leecherman”, you may install ePSP game bubbles of your favourite games in LiveArea without fiddling around with plugins since the custom bubbles are now in VPK format!
What’s Adrenaline Bubble Booter VPK Edition?
As its name suggests, Adrenaline Bubble Booter VPK Edition lets you create an ePSP bubble in LiveArea so you can directly start your PSP games from there. While previous releases made you fiddle around with taiHEN’s config.txt as they were in plugin form, this version makes life easier.
Adrenaline Bubble Booter VPK Edition supports Adrenaline-6 and has a great UI for creating the bubble. To install a custom bubble, this is what you need to do:
- Install “‘AdrBubbleBooterInstaller.vpk” bundled in the RAR file below and open it so that you have the required files installed to actually use LiveArea bubbles created with Adrenaline Bubble Booter Creator. Obviously Adrenaline-6 needs to be installed to use this.
- Fill in the fields in the Adrenaline Bubble Booter Creator application bundled in the RAR file so that you can create and customise your bubble to your liking. You need to put in information such as the game path (from ms0:) and the images you want to use for the LiveArea bubble. You may leave some image fields empty and the default images will be used instead.
- That’s it! Install the VPK you created with Adrenaline Bubble Booter Creator on your PSVita and enjoy your new bubble!
Important: Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get the created VPKs to install when I put in my images. VitaShell returned error 0x8010113D and according to online questions, it seems to have something to do with the PNG files not being properly processed for LiveArea. I have tried processing the PNG files (ICON0 and PIC0) with pngquant (they are directly from the ISO itself) but they still didn’t work. Fortunately, VPKs still install if you only change the bubble name. Hopefully, this will be rectified in a future release.

I’m not able to mak work a simple bubble without customisations linked to a CSO even with the base files installed. Do anybody else have success with this?
Have you installed the updated Adrenaline-6 which fixes the CSO files issue?
Yes… Anyway, without the update CSO was not working in Adrenaline.
I was able to make it work with CSO.
Good one !
May sure be useful., thanks !
Tough luck, but does it support PSX titles ?
yes it does make sure path includes EBOOT.PBP at the end and any picture format works for icon
Nice !
Thank you 🙂
no problem also if you are looking for icons for the games just go inside the sys folder in the game you want and extract the images 🙂
If its just like normal PSVita Icons then they need to be 8Bit Color PNGs. That’s not common knowledge and hard to find out. You only learn that when making themes the hard way.
Hope this helps.
Sorry. Actually they need to be 128×128 24Bit Colordepth .png files for the icons to be able to be displayed in the live area/ get installed just fine.
Actually it has to be indexed colors too (at least that was what worked for me).
I opened the source image in photoshop, change to RGB, adjust the image then change back to indexed colors (WEB)
any picture format and size works png jpeg anything at all tested and working fine
First! 😀
Nice Tool.
I commented first at 4:55 and you at 7:26 without saying first by the way…..

I assume this works with homebrew eboots as well? Also, doesn’t matter that my Vita is not activated anymore correct? Will have to try this later.

if you want icons you’ll have to do manually, i’ve just edited the png inside the template zip included, de-indexed, edited, reindexed, save.

Anyone have a link to a working rar? I keep getting errors that it’s incomplete.

To clarify, I can’t get the actual AdrBubbleBooter.vpk archive to extract. I’m installing Windows into a virtual machine and I’ll try again.
Why not install the vita app through the Vita Homebrew Browser?

I was finally able to get that vpk working. Thanks though.
Okay.. Nvm.. I got it working for the most part, besides the custom images and whatnot, of which Aurora confirmed doesn’t work at the moment.
i’ve tried to say how to make it work, but seems like some mod though that it isn’t appropiated cuz my comment was pending for moderation and now has gone
funny fact that the “first!” comments are more appropiated as i can see
oh lol ***? now my previous comment appeared LOL
still waiting for moderation T-T
I’m having a new issue now… I’m trying to get the Hatsune Miku Project Diva PSP games into bubbles, I can get (with the help of Aurora) the first game working, but for some reason now when I do it myself from her VPK it is able to make the bubble, but when I go to launch it it closes out immediately. What gives?
