Autoboot released and MediaImporter (Music support added) Updated – PSVita
The homebrew scene keeps getting more interesting stuff and developer ‘Rinnegatamante’ never stops adding stuff to the Vita’s homebrew and plugin library.
What is AutoBoot?
As the name suggests, it lets you open an application immediately after you enable HENkaku. This is like the plugin AutoStart on the PSP. AutoBoot has also been updated to version 1.1 which removes the need to load the kuio plugin. Installing it is also pretty simple; just copy to it to ux0:/tai, place it under the MAIN section and write the TitleID of what you want to load in the file ‘ ux0:data/AutoBoot/boot.cfg’ which you’d have to create. This was created by developer ‘Rinnegatamante’ and any issues you have should be reported to him.
What’s gotten updated/changed in MediaImporter?
The following changes took place in the last few versions (current version is 0.91):
- You may import music from ux0:/music. This makes it easier to use the stock Music app with your Vita since you don’t have to copy music over from a computer that supports QCMA.
- The speed of importing stuff has been improved
- Some bug fixes
The most major update, is without a doubt, music support. This makes the homebrew much more useful as being able to import music easily makes it viable to use your Vita as a music player when you’re not gaming. Any issues you should have should be reported to ‘cnsldv’ in order to make the software better and more bug free.
How do I get them?
Getting the mentioned homebrew on your device is relatively simple. Simply follow the links below and download them. Make sure you get MediaImporter from a trusted source as it requires unsafe privilages.
