Flyer Deathmatch for PSVita released
Homebrew games on the PSVita aren’t too common since most of us are busy using the Vita for an alternative use it’s awesome for. That is emulation of other game consoles and playing of game ports due to the great control layout of the Vita (except for that rear touchpad but that’s easily avoidable). Thanks to Wololo /talk member and developer ‘vladgalay’ we got Flyer Deathmatch on our Vitas.
What’s Flyer Deathmatch?
This game is a CSPSP-esque game in which you must kill other spaceships with weapons. The game is presented in a top-down form factor which makes shooting your enemies a relatively easy task as controls are also relatively decent. You may choose from a wide variety of maps to play in but you can also choose between 3 game modes and a wide array of ships. Apart from those, you can also fiddle around with various other options to get an even more enjoyable game experience. In this game, you’re fighting against another team that’s controlled via a computer AI along with your other computer AI teammates. One feature that I seriously think would be amazing in this game would be to allow for online multiplayer. An online multiplayer version of this game would be awesome and might make it one of the most memorable homebrew games on the Vita.
How do I get it?
You can take the easy route and simply download it from VHBB. If you don’t want to, you can always download the VPK from the link below; this homebrew requires unsafe permisisons due to the fact it was developed with OneLua thus needing OneLua player to work. Skeptics can check the source code but I can confirm it’s okay because the VitaDB version I downloaded via VHBB a few days ago was malware free. I would suggest you check the link below to learn more about the game as the author did a sufficiently detailed post that acts as a manual more or less.
