Vita Homebrew Browser makes our lives easier and thankfully, this update fixes a bug that makes it easier to work with.
What’s Vita Homebrew Browser?
As the name suggests, it’s a homebrew that functions like the App Store on an iOS device and the Play Store on an Android device. You may tap on homebrew, view screenshots and also read a small description about them; after doing that, you can install the homebrew you want with a click of a button. This homebrew gets its data from Rinnegatamante’s ‘VitaDB’ which hosts virtually every piece of homebrew that been released recently. This homebrew won the GekiHEN contest section for utilities so it’s quite a loved homebrew!
What got updated in Vita Homebrew Browser 0.81?
This is a bug fix release that fixes the following bug:
Fixing a crash when pressing on cetain homebrew; this is because the way that some screenshots are downloaded from VitaDB due to a difference in the file extension.
It’s recommend you update to this release as it fixes issues when you’re installing Numpty Physics/Pickr VITA.
How do I get it?
If you have VHBB 0.8, you can install it from VHBB itself as you’d install any other homebrew. If you don’t have VHBB installed or you have the original 0.7 release from GekiHEN or elsewhere, the procedure is a tad different. Version 0.7 crashes when you install the updated VHBB so you must download the VPK and install it; just like the procedure for those that don’t have VHBB. If you have any issues with VHBB, report on its GitHub page to developer ‘devnoname120’; any issues regarding VitaDB are to be directed to ‘Rinnegatamante’.
I'm a girl that's liked technology from day 1. Mostly interested in the PSVita/PSP scene but I've always modded my stuff when it's possible, that is :)Contact me via DM at @KawaiiAuroraA on Twitter if you have any questions/concerns about my articles or if you have any article requests.
