3DS FBI Link: Graphical Mac App to Send files to 3DS for Mac!
The hacking community, well the general population as a whole seem to generally use Windows based PCs. This is great for developers and users alike, since with a greater concentration of people on this specific OS; that means less time has to be spent developing multiple versions of an app. At the same time, it comes with a drawback, users of other operating systems are neglected. Not entirely, so don’t come running at me with the pitch forks just yet. A lot of apps are developed for Mac OS and Linux OS as well, but the speed is generally slower and somewhat lackluster.
Thankfully this isn’t always the case. There are a few apps to remotely push files to the 3DS either via FTP (which is directly on the 3DS via FTPD) or directly to FBI over your Wi-Fi network such as socketpunch for Windows OS. Thanks to reddit user cybervseas, there is now a Mac app available for this very purpose. And it has a few handy features off the bat for a first release!
Below is a quote from the developers github release page:
“First release of 3DS FBI Link: a graphical Mac FBI file transfer tool. Pretty simple to use, and more powerful than the other options out there. I recommend you check out the README for more information.
- Send as many files from anywhere on your computer or the internet.
- Send to multiple 3DSes at the same time.
- Autodetect your 3DS, so you don’t have to type in an IP address.”
This utility is one that should come in quite handy for CFW 3DS users who just happen to more of the Mac OS types; much like myself. Therefore making this release one welcomed with open arms, with much anticipation and interest to see how it develops and what nifty features may await us in future releases.
