Yes, at first glance, it’s a tad nonsensical BUT there are some decent uses for it. A very good use for VitaView would be to play Vita games on your TV or a 10″ tablet. Developer ‘Sonryp’, who has developed VitaMote (an Android receiver for VitaPad broadcasts) is the developer of this, somewhat odd, homebrew.
What exactly is this?
VitaView allows you to stream your Vita’s games to your Android device via WiFi. This app uses RinCheat, a plugin which lets you stream to a PC, to actually broadcast the games. Not all games work but it’s enough to be an interesting thing to play around with. Remember that you need to use the classic ux0:/plugins/game.txt, as used in HENkaku R6 or before, to install RinCheat.
How do I use it?
Install RinCheat on your Vita (needs to be on 3.60 ofc)
Install the VitaView apk on your Android device
Put your Vita’s IP in the app on your Android device and play away!
It’s important to note that you’re bound by RinCheat’s compatibility and not all games work properly so do not annoy ‘SonryP’ to add more games!
Remember that this is pre-alpha grade software so it’s NOT bug-free by any means but the developer intends to fix it up and make it more stable. RinCheat was developed by PSVita veteran ‘Rinnegatamante’ so don’t bug him with bug report on this app as he’s only responsable for RinCheat’s streaming module. As always, be civil and file bug reports on GitHub. Happy streaming!
