HENkaku R7 released, taiHENkaku changes finally merged
The day has finally come! Team Molecule have finally pushed the R7 update for HENkaku which brings all the changes from taiHENKaku. All that remains to be seen now is which name they go with from here on forward. The name taiHENkaku was the one they were going with for a while, but with this release it seems they’ve gone back to the old name. Whichever might be the chosen name, I’m just glad its finally out!
In case you haven’t been paying attention (how dare you?) taiHENkaku brought the C in CFW to the PS Vita. It allows us to us plugins on the PS Vita without needing the dependence on the amphetamin.skprx file. It’s also brought a ton of stability to HENkaku and the codebase has been refactored, along with making it easier for developers to use. Now we just need to wait for A Better Amphetamin plugin to be ported to the taiHEN framework and we’ll all be golden!
What is (tai)HENkaku?
In case you missed the original annoucement, taiHENkaku is the new version of our favorite “homebrew loader” ported to the new taiHEN framework that Team Molecule have been working on since the original release. While its major feature is the plugin support, (tai)HENkaku features a much better codebase than the original, making it much more stable and reliable.
