SwitchKAKU 1.04(.1) released: taiHEN beta 7 offline files
taiHENkaku has been in testing since the beginning of November but it’s still not considered as being final since it’s still a beta. This has prompted the creation of SwitchKAKU which allows the user to switch the offline installer between HENkaku stable and taiHENkaku testing easily.
What’s SwitchKAKU?
SwitchKAKU is pretty straightforward, it allows you to switch your offline installer from the stable to the testing build whenever you want as long as you have tai/HENkaku enabled. This is achieved via a pretty simple mechanism which points the offline installer to “beta.henkaku.xyz” for testing builds and “go.henkaku.xyz” for stable builds. To choose between the two only requires the user to select the installer they want to install. There’s also a feature to install updated taiHENkaku offline if you don’t have an Internet connection.
What’s changed?
This is the changelog:
1.04
- Improve error messages and add colors
- Update offline TaiHen files to R7 (for a first offline install) <-Should refer to beta 7
- Code clean up
1.04.1
- Disable compression (henkaku R6 or earlier does not support compressed homebrews)
As one can see, the updates are quite minor but they should provide a better user experience and the ability to install taiHENKaku beta 7 (latest version) offline (you just need to copy some files to your PSVita). Version 1.04.1 fixes the application on Henkaku R6 or earlier since 1.04 had binary compression that only worked under taiHENkaku (due to compression becoming default in the updated toolchain).
The offline exploit files MUST be placed in ux0:/data/switchkaku and should be copied from the src/data folder of the archive you download.
As most of us know, taiHEN is close to being stable thus eliminating Henkaku R6 BUT this homebrew will still be useful if there are post taiHEN (HENkaku R7) testing builds.
Thanks to user ‘luck’ of Wololo /talk forums for all his hard work.

Yay, another Aurora article!
Hey Aurora, are the same person who created Luma3ds?
So many custom firmware, but no new emulators.
We need another emulator contest, and soon too. I’m willing to participate.
Henkaku works in offline mode, but when I switch to taihen It constanlty tries to install taihen, but gives a crc32 error on some sprx file when it tries to download and install. I can download taihen fine from the www site though and don’t get any crc32 errors. Maybe this vpk needs updating with the new crc value of the offending sprx file.
reinstall taihen from beta.henkakau. eneable unsafe homebrew
uninstall in the app
hit triangle to reinstall with updated files
and it should work after that
Thanks, that’s fixed it.
Thanks Aurora!

Does henKaku worth it, with all these .vpk files on the web and all other stuff?
Because i’m thinking on getting an upgrade on my ps vita to 3.60 (i’m actually using my 3.01 numblast exploit and i wanna know if this is a true change on the scene, since i’ve been out of it like 2 years)
