Legend of Zelda – ROTH for PS Vita (GekiHEN Contest Entry)
You can now read every article related to the GekiHEN Contest by simply clicking here. Hopefully this will be a great reference point for all of you who haven’t been following the contest closely enough.
The final deadline of the GekiHEN contest creeps ever closer and there isn’t much time left for developers to enter their creations. This latest release is brought to us by usineur, who brought us Prince of Persia, Heart of the Alien and Bermuda in past entries.
For those not aware The Legend of Zelda – Return of the Hylian is a fangame made as a sequel to A Link to the Past. It’s one of the best known Zelda fan-games and its author has even spun the engine used into a game engine to make Zelda-like games. He has also made two other Zelda games: Oni Link Begins and Time to Triumph.
While not an official game – and we’re never getting those outside of emulation – it’s always cool to get one of the best known Zelda fan-games on the PS Vita.
What is Return of the Hylian?
Return of the Hylian is a fan sequel to popular SNES game A Link to the Past. The world is enjoying a new era of peace under the rule of the Seven Sages, but a new crisis approaches and only Link can save Hyrule once more. It features the same type of assets as the SNES games making it feel familiar but not dated. The game has been ported to the PS Vita by developer usineur.
