Super Mario Maker NTR plugin, you can now cheat at… Super Mario.
Did you know Mario Maker 3DS is out yet? It’s not like we’ve written about tools for it already. In any case I’m of two minds with the release of this Super Mario Maker cheat engine. On one hand, I need to stay unbiased and while I don’t support cheating at all, I feel I should highlight the hard work of developers. On the other hand, it’s a cheat engine for a Super Mario game. I know the game has crazy insane stages made by players that are unsurvivable and that to beat those stages most people would need something like this but cheating in a Super Mario game is just weird to me.
This time this NTR plugin is brought to us by developers RyDog and DarkFlare69. It includes very useful cheats such as flying, invincibility, life modifiers among a few others. However, just like SUMOHax, this plugin only works on N3DS systems, sorry O3DS users. It has only been tested on the USA version of the game, but should work fine on the EU version.
What is Super Mario Maker NTR Plugin?
Super Mario Maker NTR Plugin is a cheat engine for the Mario Maker 3DS game. It features cheats for key variables of the game to make your experience easier. It was developed by RyDog and DarkFlare69 over at GBATemp and will only work on N3DS devices.
Cheats Included
-Lives modifier (increase/decrease/max)
-Instant one up
-Invincibility
-Mario State Modifer
-Points Modifier
-Hold B to fly
-Unlimited Time
-Kill yourself
-Speed Modifier
How-to use
- Install Boot NTR with your favorite cia installer
- Download the zip and extract the ‘00040000001A0400’ folder to a ‘plugin’ folder on your SD card.
- Reboot your console to ensure that Boot NTR works
- Launch BootNTR selector, and select BootNTR version 3.3 or version 3.4
- It will auto exit, and then you launch Super Mario Maker immediately
- If the plugin is in the correct directory, you should get a brief green flash on the top screen, then the game will load.
- Once the game loads, choose the cheats you want to enable and then have fun 🙂

You know what I’d really love to see, though I’m not sure how feasible it is? I wish someone would make a romhack or cheat plugin of some sort that restores the original physics to the classic environments instead of sticking SMW with the NSMB terrible physics.
This might be a good thing, there’s way too many troll levels out there already, and the 3DS version strangely lacks the comment and rating system that the WiiU version has. I ran across one yesterday that was just one long corridor exactly one block high with two-block gaps all the way to the end and each hole led to a lava pit. You essentially had to make pixel-perfect jumps while running at full speed to clear each gap.
