VitaShell updated to 0.86
Developer TheFloW pushed a minor update to his VitaShell utility, a few hours after releasing his game decryption tool Vitamin. The release fixes several bugs.
What is VitaShell
VitaShell is an all-in-one utility for your PS Vita, which can be used as a File Browser, FTP Server, and to install Vita Homebrews (in .vpk format) and more.
Vitashell 0.86: What’s new
From the changelog:
- Added dialog box animation and aligned dialog box y to make it look better.
- Fixed wrong time string for files and folders. Thanks to persona5.
- Fixed INSTALL_WARNING text crash.
- Added default files creating.

To install & run, please note that you will need to have a PS Vita running firmware 3.60 with the HENkaku hack. To install HENkaku, please check our PS Vita CFW page.

I have an odd question – how to you update vitashell from one version to the next? I currently have VitaShell 0.85 installed, and I’ve since removed MoleculeShell (since it’s simply repackaging VitaShell now, I didn’t see the need to keep it). However, when I try to install VitaShell 0.86 from within VitaShell, I first get prompted about requesting extended permissions, which I agree to, then then at 63% the install process stops and gives me “Error 0x80101114”.
The only explanation I can come up with is I’m trying to upgrade/replace the currently running application. Do I need to keep an instance of moluculeshell on there solely for the purpose of installing VitaShell? or is there some better way to do this that I’m just missing? or heck, should it just work as I described and I have something broken on my system?

if i try to install a .vpk file it shows me Error 0xFFFFFFFF

u can’t install vita shell with vita shell that is y u need the one u uninstall
I just install new version While using old version. Try reinstalling henkaku.

how do you choose the theme. I read that you can have several themes installed at the same time. but how do you select one one of them ?

Acredito que não, não há possibilidade de conexão usb direta… mas via FTP é top, não faz nem falta!
da para fazer isso mudas os .VPK para .MP3 e transfere com o proprio gerenciador da sony depois de transferido muda para VPK novamente
