PS vita release: RegistryEditor 1.0, by Some1
Developer Some1, of PSP 6.60 Downgrader fame, just release RegistryEditor for your Henkaku-enabled PS Vita. The tool lets you update several values from your PS vita registry. You can consider most of these as “hidden” config entries.
RegistryEditor lets you swap X/O on your console, change the console language, update you name, etc…
From the Readme:
Simple app that allows you to read and edit all registry settings in an organized manner. UI heavily based on The FloW’s VitaShell.
Some1 recommends to create a backup of your registry (copy vd0:registry to your computer via ftp) before using the tool if you have any concerns.

This negates the need for unlocking debug settings because this does everything that debug settings can do (and maybe a few options more). Of course the UI isn’t as pretty as Settings, but it gets the job done.

Whats wrong with you? People can say whatever they want. And maybe he isnt talking about Piracy. CFW has other benefits too. For example plug in support like in the psp cfw. Or a way to have henkaku mode without loosing it when you turn off the system. Just chill and enjoy the news

Yes, you can use CFW for other things, but don’t kid yourself. Most people use it exclusively for piracy.

what i feel wololo needs to address is the fact that henkaku only runs on 3.60, why is it that it should require a fw update and not be compatible with prior fw like tn-v, if the hackers of henkaku intentionally made it so prior fws couldnt use henkaku,as a way to stop piracy then thats hypocritical b s as the whole point of sites like this is to leave it up to consumers what they do or dont use it for. you dont care about people running emulators with pirated games. It seems obvious that the reason this hack needs 3.6 is because sony implemented some sort of drm on 3.6 as yifanlu claimed he intentionally implemented some sort of drm on henkaku. the point of the scene has always been to bypass sonys rediculous policies that r ip off their consumers.

why isnt henkaku compatible on lower fw, is it because on 3.60 sony added something to prevent piracy & not on lower fw
No, it is because the devs don’t want to waste their time porting it to lower firmwares when people can simply get to 3.60…

I wonder if it would be possible somehow to play our PS plus games on VITA after PS PLUS is already expired.
Is that possible with a registry hack, or something like that? For example so that vita believes you still have ps plus…
I keep seeing a setting that says enable host:0 but i’ve seen it on sc’s of Vitas, will it work on PSTV to enable USB Host?
