Release: HENkaku-Android – Host HENkaku locally on your phone with the push of a button
For those of you who want a convenient, locally hosted solution to load the HENkaku hack on their PS Vita, or for those who simply like the cool factor of running the most badass hack from their phone, Codestation just released HENkaku-Android: a server that hosts the HENkaku files on your Android phone for you to access from your Vita.
This means you don’t necessarily need to go to the HENkaku official site anymore in order to install HENkaku (which is required every time you reboot your PS Vita), instead you can do everything in isolation from your own Wifi network. (see here why it’s important to have such options).
Icing on the cake, HENkaku-android runs with the simple push of a button.
Keep in mind that due to the “local” nature of this thing, this will not work on 3G, only on Wifi.
Codestation credits the following people for this release:
Based on HENkaku offline by Yifan Lu
Based on the AndroidWebServer sample project by Lopez Mikhael
Download and Install HENkaku-Android
You can Download HENkaku-Android on Codestation’s github here. You’ll need to allow 3rd party applications on your android phone in order to sideload the apk.
To run (from the readme)
- Connect or create a WiFi access point.
- Run the application and press the button to start the server.
- Use the Web Server on the Vita to navigate to the address shown on the application.
- Press the button to install HENkaku.
- Enjoy.
Note: Please note that you will need to have a PS Vita running firmware 3.60.

Sweet this actually works!!
I can now use HENkaku anywhere.
HENkaku go!
That’s funny… i actually wanted to develope something like this myself as well 😀 Great Job. Propably something like the PSN/Updateblocker might be done as well.
This is inovation right here. Can leave the house and not have to worry about running back for wifi and henkaku. Awesome work
Thank you! But, i hope you can make one for iphone users also. Good job anyway.
its work like charm
Anyone have any idea why mine simply says “App not installed.” and fails to install it? I am on Android 5.0.1.
Thanks.
awesome! now someone needs to find a way to do it on 3g/4g
so if you open it up you will see molecularShell is stored there so you can most likely replace it easily with VitaShell or perhaps other apps
I meant you can find it in the PKG folder
Sweet!!!! Now if they can do this for the Wii U.
Great job!
apparently mods will delete your posts if you make a post about how easily exploitable an apk file is
nvm just the site being dumb
Tried this one it’s nice that Android phones are of help to the PS Vita Scene just like in Rejuvinate and HENkaku. I wonder if someone could develop an app for the Vita for Remote Play for Android Phones. It is true that PS Vita cannot emulate Android Games but I wonder if it is possible to develop a Remote Play for Android Games for the Vita just like Remote Play of Android Phones for the PS4 .
is possible with a windows phone ?
When you say webserver do you mean browser? I’m confused on how this works.
That is nice. Now is there a way to transfer files from android to PS Vita?
any windows phone user?
will only work connected to wifi if not rooted… with the use of Fake Wifi Connection from xposed it can be used anywhere if u are rooted.
i installed this the first time from my phone.. imlike one of you guys now 🙂
i installed this the first time from my phone.. im like one of you guys now.. henkaku and wololo and Yifan Lu ROCKS
Useless garbage. Tried it about 50 times and no luck. Error C2-12828-1. I’ll stick with the offline installation.
why is this app not updated with the latest henkaku release.. my system information says 3.60 without aby any R4 R6 version.. 🙁
can i also install emulators/games using this steps? i already installed Henkaku but i want also to install the offline installer and then install some emulators and get some games.
Downloaded version 1.7 apk and install to Kindle Fire HDX 7 (not rooted, everything original) . Twice error but third times the charm. molecular Shell is installed.
Very interesting post. I would also like to mention one additional note though. If you go to a web page like http://www.streetdirectory.com/businessfinder/page/173359/70649/7798/ you’ll come across a lot more info on this exact same topic. This website has much more to say about things of interest to practically any person who might be searching the web for more info on the exact same subjects you ponder on here. Highly note that you check it out.
