Another 3DS upcoming exploit just got announced (SmileBASIC)
3DS hacker MrNbaYoh, who was behind the Basehaxx 3DS exploit, and also recently announced an exploit for Pokemon Picross, is on an exploiting frenzy, and just announced that he has an upcoming hack for 3DS app SmileBASIC. Somewhat ironically, SmileBASIC is a programming tool.
SmileBASIC 3DS upcoming exploit – The good and the bad
There’s a mix of good and bad news with this announce. The good news is that MrNbaYoh confirmed this is a “primary” exploit, meaning you won’t need a third party save device or another exploit to run this. In other words, this will work as a standalone hack.
The not so good news is that the app SmileBASIC is only available on the US and JP eShops. Too bad for EU users, I guess.
I think it is working too, buy it. pic.twitter.com/Zicz7ugujM

Keep in mind that which games are exploitable is not a choice that’s up to the hacker. Hackers try a variety of games, and sometimes the ones that are exploitable happen to not be available in your region, that’s never intentional.
Yet again a 3DS exploit. How does the scene like it?
Reception of the announce so far is mixed. Most people are definitely welcoming a new entry point, but some members of the scene also point out that with the high amount of hack entry points lately, a new one would only be required for people who missed pretty much every previous release over the past few months (and if they did miss so many, what are the chances of them not missing this one?).
So, there you go, if you’re in desperate need of a hack, this might be the one for you. Keep in mind that nothing’s been released at this point.
Smile Basic is amazing. For those who don’t know, it’s an app that lets you quickly program your own games or apps for use on the 3ds. The japanese community has made some really amazing stuff like smash bros clones, etc.
As if i’d care, i can just write “real” programs with every other language out there.
Then “you” go do that, “others” like it and find it useful. “You” don’t have to use it.
It looks wonderful, but is the homebrew suit far more powerful I wonder? Since it gives more access to the system I would think it is.
Will I be able to downgrade my N3ds if I am on 11.0.
Yes, but only via Hardmodding your N3DS. This requires knowledge of soldering and messing with the internals of your console. I recommend you don’t attempt hardmodding unless you can hire someone to do it for you as it’s not exactly an easy task.
4 comments into the comments section and he gives you the “can i downgrade my 3ds with this” look
eShop is down. Surprise surprise.
i got on us store
hurry while u still can i think they may remove it very very soon
I just bought the game right now, not because of the exploit but because it looks like very damn good. I just downloaded a smash clone and a bullet heck shoot’em up, so much fun to let it pass and even more if the game gets taken from the store.
I would be excited, except for the fact that I’m still waiting on a release date announcement.
Correct me if I’m wrong but github plialects guide had a hardmod downgrade section for 11.0 that didn’t require any soldering? Does anyone know of what im talking about and have read up on that specific part?
Does it matter if I download the current Update 3.31 that’s also available on the estore?
I didn’t get it, just in case.
