Maybe it improves the stability of connecting to PSN… Bwahahahaha … Sorry I couldn’t resist! 😉

  2. Derrick says:

Forgive my confusion but why is hacking the PS4 necessary? Like yeah okay, “homebrew” but if the Wii U is about to be hacked, why bother fooling with the PS4? I just don’t get it. All these devices that have already had exploits enabling you to run homebrew but now the PS4? I just don’t get it. If you want Linux, download it on your laptop or PC. I just don’t understand.

      You have no ideaaa….

    • nope says:

…Why are you on this site then?

    • BrokeKid says:

Because cry babies (the ones who live under their lower class families roof) can’t afford the games these systems come with, so when you have first world neglected children asking for hacks, they don’t care for Linux they can’t even Sudo Apt-Get LMAO! they want the free games, that’s why hackers make skiddie programs like “press X” to hack so a bunch of kids can make them interenet famous, well not them just their alias.

There’s no reason to hack the PS4 aside from technical limitations of your ability to hack and which case you wouldn’t be releasing any exploit as it would be a personal accomplishment, you don’t need a program that executes piracy and circumvents DRM just to say you launched unsigned code, that’s the stuff the cry babies want.

Really, I can’t remember the time we went from being Human and providing for yourself to crying it’s everyone else’s fault. What a horrible outlook to have on life.

    • Jamx says:

Well, you should ask the same question to people why they hacked the calculator to run Doom while the game itself can be easily running on any other platforms just fine.

    • PapaSmurf says:

Hacking is not a necessity, but more of a hobby or a form on entertainment for some users/players. I myself like to re-purpose my personal devices and use them for other purposes that was not intended by the manufacturer.

So back to the PS4 topic… Why would I install Linux on a PS4? Why not? Not everyone can afford a PS4 and PC….. some might buy either or… but for those that are tech-savvy and tight on budget, might consider in picking up a PS4 for their PC and Gaming needs… (If/Once Linux becomes viable)

      • Garuda357 says:

No offenses but man: If you got a PS4, you already has the PC. Just don’t say that.

Hacking isn’t a necessity, but coming to a site about console hacking to question WHY people do it isn’t smart either. There are some benefits that come with hacking that range from Hardware control -like proper fan control- to, well, “backups”.

  3. Derrick says:

Lol I said I just don’t get it twice. My bad

  4. NakedFaerie says:

“This is for the players” ive net met any players that like *** updates.
I guess $ony have been speaking to NintenDOH and are trying to release the lamest updates together as the WiiU had the same sort of update a few days ago.

  5. Capitan Pirata says:

    arffff ahoy!

  6. UrgentPaper says:

Derrick, it’s about having freedom with consoles that we paid for, it’s about being able to tweak this beast of a device in any way we see fit, the modded PS3 was the best modded console of that generation in my opinion, and with the ps4 operating on FreeBSD, it’ll be easier, and way more hack able than any other console before.

    • lmao says:

sorry, Sony has been using FreeBSD since PSP era.

    • lmao says:

what makes it easier is x86 architecture, see PS3 PSV PSP PS4 all based on FreeBSD

    • Jonny says:

Beast of a machine? Freedom that you paid for?

Nah mate you want to hack it so you can look smarter than your typical gamer. Consumer electronics are cheap enough now that you can buy anything you need for whatever purpose.

But nah keep checking back here daily until you can spend money on a dongle that will let you play pokemon on your PlayStation

      • Ivan says:

Smarter ? I would rather say not to look but to be smarter. Because the USA is not the only place where people live you know. In some countries it is so hard to afford license games so cfw is one of the variants how to cope with these crazy prices.

      • Theul says:

        Simple answer:

Getting more out of your console and breaking the chains of sony

    • 4real says:

everyone knows that the reason for a hack or any hack the motivation is piracy plain and simple, those who deny it are *** hypocrites because everyone knows the will download those free games

  7. Fimo says:

Now it’s time to real hackers to tell us what pending exploit in 3.10 has been patched on 3.15 🙂

  8. soggy toast says:

I’m just gonna update. The hack scene for the ps4 has been pretty dumb these couple of weeks.

    • Fimo says:

      You may regret it.
With all the mess with Cturt & F0F, you can be sure that this SONY’s update patches all the latest CVE. Then you can be sure you’ll need to wait at least 6 month before a new exploit will be founded and published.

      • aran says:

Any firmware above 2.00, its useless to wait for an exploit.. Even Cturt & FoF mostly depend on 1.76 web exploit. Even, if they do, they wont release it public.. So, Why, do someone wait for months maybe year just to install a linux in PS4.. Instead, I would fully utilize my PS4 for gaming.. (Yes, gaming which makes sense for a gaming console.. Not to install a linux and run a ‘Hello World’ on PS4 ..)

  9. Szaki says:

http://wololo.net/talk/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=45298 😀 sony patch this? I think the answer is yes

    • nope says:

I guess it’s possible but more likely than not it was never exploitable on PS4 to begin with. Someone saw some random exploit online and got excited.

  10. ShutupDayOne says:

This update killed some generic PS4 controllers. I had a PS4 on my fightstick and now it has the 8 minute time-out.

  11. Runnynose says:

Dont update pass 3.15 or otheros will be gone for good LOL!

  12. Timex says:

So if anyone updates passed 3.15 they will lose the OtherOS feature thus having no linux chance good luck with that weeners.

  13. wololohatersofhaters says:

So if Any1 upgrades to 3.15 theyll lose OtherOS feature having no linux chance so dont be a pack of little timy hot dawgz.

  14. lambe cricas says:

anyone knows it is “safe” to install the update?

  15. asyn says:

Is it possible to purchase a game that is in the PSN store without updating? For example, buying it and then side loading it somehow? I’m trying to purchase final fantasy 7, but I don’t want to update.

  16. Agapito says:

2 day trial ps plus not working anymore
