Community Poll: PS Vita Custom Bubbles – Double the Bubble or Spare & Retain?
In the last few weeks we have told you that developer Qwikrazor is going to release his very own kernel mode exploit, but also his very own Custom Bubbles, for the PS Vita system softwares 3.5x.
This means that you can enjoy an ARK-2 eCFW Custom Bubble on your Playstation Vita, as long as you can follow the requirements.
Depending on what the community decides, Qwikrazor might delay his own Custom Bubbles, and replaces them with Tom’s & Mr.gas’ own Custom Bubbles…
Custom Bubbles³ – Cubic Bubbles
If you have read the previous article, which involves a huge upcoming release for the PS Vita firmware 3.52, then you might have noticed that this release includes a variation of Custom Bubbles.
Major_Tom’s and Mr.gas’ Custom Bubbles were patched as of PS Vita firmware 3.50, but they have another functional method which works on firmwares 3.50, 3.51 and 3.52, thus brings back the ability to use Custom Bubbles.
If you still cannot see the problem, let me explain it to you in very simple words:
Overlapping Bubbles.
If we consider all possible Custom Bubbles on the Playstation Vita, we will end up with 3 different ones. The first batch (by Major_Tom & Mr.gas), which was released for system softwares 3.36 and below, that stopped working as of version 3.50.
The second batch, the upcoming Custom Bubbles (by Major_Tom & Mr.gas) for Playstation Vita system software 3.5x (3.50/3.51/3.52), which will work on any Playstation Vita system software, as long as it is version 3.52 or below.
The third batch, (once again) upcoming Custom Bubbles (this time by Qwikrazor87) for the Playstation Vita, which in theory should survive at least one major Firmware update.
The current problem is, that we would have 2 upcoming Custom Bubble releases scheduled, which would overlap in firmware compatibility. Both of these upcoming Custom Bubble releases would support firmwares 3.52 and below, but only Qwikrazor’s will most likely work for one additional firmware update (after which Sony will also patch Qwik’s Bubbles), assuming Qwikrazor publishes his Bubble Method.
In an easier world, one would simply say that we keep Qwikrazor’s Custom Bubbles on ice, until a better point in time has been found to release them. Why keep Qwik’s Bubbles instead of Tom’s/Mr.gas’? – Well, Qwikrazor’s Bubbles won’t be patched in the next PS Vita firmware, while the ones of Tom & Mr.gas will almost certainly be patched.
The Community decides:
We have unfortunally told you that you will need a PSP exploit game, and a compatible (random) base PSP game for Qwikrazor’s Custom Bubbles to be installed and for them to work.
While this information was mostly correct, it has become obsolete, due to Major_Tom’s and Mr.gas’ own Custom Bubbles, which require neither.
The Custom Bubbles of Major_Tom & Mr.gas do not require any PSP exploit game and they do not require any PSP base game (as far as we know), which in the end would make your purchase of a base & exploit game – both planned to be used with Qwikrazor’s Bubbles – pretty much useless.
The base game is the smallest problem, since most of you did not have to buy a new random game, since most people should already own at least 2 PSP games, which happens to be one random one and the other one most likely an exploit game.
The problem is that we have told you that you will need one of the exploit games (compatible with your PS Vita’s firmware) for the Custom Bubbles to successfully work. This still applies if we plan to release Qwikrazor’s Custom Bubbles, and your money will be well spent.
On the other side this would be a huge waste of Qwikrazor’s Custom Bubbles, because Tom & Mr.gas are going to release their very own Custom Bubbles anyways, since their Bubbles will be patched in the next PS Vita firmware, while Qwikrazor’s Bubbles should survive at least one firmware update.
Shall it be choice 1 or choice 2?
We currently have 2 choices, that might affect you:
The first choice would be, that we are going to release Qwikrazor’s Custom Bubbles for the very next Vita firmware, just as planned, but this would mean that Qwik’s Bubbles will be patched in the following upcoming firmware.
The second choice would be, that we are not going to release Qwikrazor’s Custom Bubbles, because Major_Tom and Mr.gas can provide their very own Custom Bubbles as a replacement.
While choice 1 seems to be the morally correct choice, choice 2 seems to be the more logical one, to waste as few hacks as possible.
Why did I say morally & logical? Let me explain it.
A few people have spent some money on PSP games (exploit games), which were a requirement to use the Bubbles (Qwik’s). If we simply say that – “there won’t be a release of Qwikrazor’s Bubbles, but you can have these free ones instead” – then people are naturally going to be pretty mad, since they have “wasted” their money on “useless” PSP games (which cannot be used as exploit games in a future firmware).
The logical part would be, that it would be a waste to release Qwik’s Bubbles, if Tom & Mr.gas are going to release their very own ones anyways. This would be the logical choice, to preserve Qwik’s Bubbles for a later, future firmware.
As you can see, choice 1 would leave people without any “loss & harm”, while choice 2, despite offering the same as choice 1, would leave people with a “loss & harm”, to a certain degree. They would have wasted their money, because we said so.
As you may have noticed, I am writing this article with a pretty biased opinion. Of course people are going to be mad if they have spent some money, that they didn’t need to spend, but I am a friend of the logical world, and the only logical decision would be to keep Qwik’s Bubbles, and substitute them with the ones from Major_Tom & Mr.gas.
In the end it is your – the Communities – choice what happens. We can waste both Bubbles on firmwares 3.5x, and be done with them; or we can postpone Qwikrazor’s Bubbles and keep them for a later firmware.
Regardless what you choose, a few people are going to be either mad or incredibly salty, but nonetheless you guys are getting some Custom Bubbles for firmware 3.52, one way or another.
Please give us some feedback via the Comments section, but also via Twitter (@Qwikrazor87 – @The_Zett), so we can evaluate what you guys want us to do.

Isn’t qwiks bubble method already released? if not then there is yet another 3rd method of bubbles on 3.52 since someone on twitter has uploaded files with instructions to get an ark bubble running with puzzle scape.. i tested it myself and works fine.
https://www.reddit.com/r/vitahacks/comments/3m2ekk/if_you_have_puzzle_scape_and_are_on_352_message/
Whatever these files are, they are definitely not a legit release.
I would definitely go for the second option though as it would be such a waste and i also think qwik would feel as if his bubbles were pretty useless if they both got released at the same time.
I vote for whatever one gives us the kexploit and bubbles fastest :), the wait is killing me :(.
Sony probably wont be releasing the PS4 next firmware for a few more weeks, so id recomment not waiting for it as originally planned!
Anyway, people who have bought a PSP exploit game will get custom bubble, regardless who the hack comes from… Result is exactly the same, let’s be serious, exploit are not plenty, it’s pointless wasting one for no reason.
Choice 2 is the only one to consider.
Choice No. 2
save qwiks bubble. even though I have bought a PSP game, we can still use it when qwiks trick releases
Sony will probably apply one of those stupid 1mb limit patches in the next version, so we cant really use them…or am i mistaken?
I own Puzzle Scape, World of Pool and Rockman exploit games, currently using Qwiks VHBL for Rockman (he has done a great job of it in terms of compatibility and fixes). However I dont like having my Vita setup as a Japan region, so hopefully when these Bubbles are released I can switch back to my Aussie account!
May not be the case. If your exploit game is PHP/WOP then it is already known to sony as an exploit game and will most likely be patched in the upcoming release.
I’m all for option 2, wasting exploits is never a wise move.
Words of Wisdom: NEVER buy an exploit game until after the exploit is released.
I’ve been with the scene for a while and enjoyed many hacks.
I have been forced to update in order to buy/download new vita games/use remote play and was unfortunately one of those who updated from 3.36 to 3.51 at the last minute for rejuvenate.
I didnt buy PHP/WOP due to it requiring a psp and now that it does not i cannot get the game without buying a ps3.
Rejuvenate/Unity could have been installed on my 3.36 Vita but that exploit had not been released. so i am currently a little stuck.
The Vita needs nailing and with every exploit in the last year or so it seems like we get that little bit closer.
Save Qwiks bubble exploit!
I can forsee the e-mail app being axed just like youtube given that the vita no longer comes with 3g messaging/e-mails and communication is not one of its selling points.
Keep Quickrazor’s method for another day. The upcoming one for firmware 3.5x is more than enough & better not waste botb methods on this one firmware.
Second choice 🙂
i am also picking choice no.2., even i have puzzle scape and world of pool.. it’s not about the price of the exploited game we buy on ps store, it’s all about how sony patches quik’s bubbles on the next firmware. Better to save quik’s bubbles so that we have spare ammo against sony..
save quiks bubble it would be a waste to use it
I also vote for option 2, even though Ive bought Puzzle Scape, World of Pool and Rockman I agree with everyone else to save Qwiks bubble trick for the future! Its the smart choice!
However please dont wait for Sony to release a new firmware before releasing the other Bubble method, the wait is like death lol. And there doesnt seem to be any sign of Sony releasing a firmware anytime soon, they may even delay it to fix a number of things, in which case we would have to wait even longer!
Its my 29th birthday in 6 days, here’s hoping its released before then 🙂
I say hold off on quiks bubbles. People didn’t waste their money. If we hold off those bubbles and release later then they can just use those base games in the future
Logic all the way!
Wait for the release lets not lose the bubbles until a later firmware.
Choice 2!
First world problems. 😉
Go with the second one guys. It’s best for us all.
To make short and clear, don’t waste Qwkiz’s bubbles.
Too keep Qwik’s bubble before new OFW release is better
1) who spent money for base games will be prepared for new release;
2) new OFW will be “hacked from box”-like.
So, I am for keeping Qwik’s until new OFW.
And for addition:
3) Maybe there wouldn’t be patch for any of know bubble trick.
Are the bubbles equal (feature-wise)?
With the bubbles on 3.36 I could create (and back up) clones without much problem but I couldn’t backup my signed game bubbles (purchased from PSN). If one of these bubble methods would allow me to do that (so I could easily restore them later) I would be in favor of that method.
If both bubbles have the same limitations then I would suggest holding off on Qwik’s method – especially if there’s a chance it won’t be patched in the next update.
Qwikrazor,Tom’s & Mr.gas – whatever the decision you guys rock!
Well, let’s save Qwikrazor’s exploits (choice 2). Make more sense save it. Even if you have bought these exploits, because can save us on an Upcoming firmware who patches Tom’s & Mr.gas’ release.
One more vote for Choice 2.
I personally vote to postpone the release. I think extending the usefulness of the Vita as long as possible is a good thing since Sony refuses to support it themselves.
i would vote for an
AIO Bubbletrick
using different approaches depending of situations ur in.
Won’t we still need the exploit games to run ARK-2 and stuff anyways?
Well, I would think that it is better to wait.
Those who have bought the games have not bought them in vain, if I am correct.
Should they decide to update later on (which is unwise), they would already have the game(s) to use towards the custom bubble creation.
In the meanwhile, they have a way to create them that does not require anything extra (right?) to be bought.
They also have Rejuvenate to use, which seems like it will not be available anytime soon (if ever) for use on 3.53+, from what I can tell.
So, as it is, they are actually one step ahead.
It also seems illogical for anyone to want the custom bubbles on the next firmware, considering that, if they are the type that wants to update frequently, they will lose the custom bubbles with the update after the next.
It would be better for them to wait several updates, so that they can have the custom bubbles and the ability to play the games released between now and whichever update it is released for.
Save Qwikrazor’s method for later, and use Tom’s and Gas’ method first. If it’s going to be by their new hack package, then that method will be patched in the next update. Better to have a working backup solution for later than none at all.
It seems like a no-brainer to me. Stagger the releases so we have custom bubbles for as long as possible.
Some a$$ seems to have leaked quik’s bubbles. People wonder why no one shares, it’s because of stuff like that.
I say release the freehax. Lets pump out some more development.
Choice 2
I’m a patiently guy. so I prefer they must keep best method for themselves, must not reveal to public cause it’ll fixed anyway with next firmware update.Dont care About choices 1 or 2 , its not about loss or harm just think logically.. for future generations.. Keep An opened door for dev..(improve I mean)
Choice 2, very funny I was just having a conversation with my colleagues on whether logic can go against morality.
I say Qwik should postpone his release, it’s unfortunate that people have spent some money for that specific bubble exploit, but like it was said previously with 3.52 pool hall pro exploit this, people should expect nothing, you buy the game and if you get a benefit of an exploit or whatever the better, if not, well you end up with a psp game to play, it has been like this since the beginning of the ecfw scene on the psvita, but since this system that wololo got of publishing which game is the exploitable game, people see it as failproof, but sometimes mistakes happen, or some sort unforseeable event, like having this awesome method from tomtom and mr gas, and another method that overlaps to some extent.
one thing is certain though, i do hope two exploits are not wasted on one firmware.
We should save the qwikrazor hack for the future, that’s what I think.
Please wait, as much as we want every hack available out there is always better to have an extra trick under the sleeve. Meanwhile they can use Tom’s and Gas’ method to find a new leak (which I’m pretty sure they will…) and use qwik’s method in the future when we have another major leak.
Isn’t the poll kind of redundant now since Qwiks files have already been leaked on another forum? There’s a good chance that Sony will have gotten their hands on those files and have everything patched in the next firmware.
You sure? Damn. well if that’s the case, then *** it, someone wasted a good exploit, and since Mr gas and TomTom exploit’s is not going to work in the next firmware, i don’t see why they would postpone theirs.
This sucks.
Where?
Where are the files? If they’re leaked, they should be posted here, too.
Whoa Z that was explained so many different ways my head is spinning… I’d say let Tom n Gas drop their plethora of treats, then if or when those are patched we’ve still got an open option down the road. assuming Qwik’s method is completely different and not patched as well!
Choice 2. It would appear… logical, Captain.

Anyway Mr. Gas and MajorToms should be saved until a later firmware release if it is related to the EML hack, if not quickrazors should be the next option.

Save quik´s method, release the free one, it’s the right choice, people won’t be mad
