Vita (ePSP) Exploit announced for Firmware 3.52, the game is free, grab it now! (JP)
Developer 173210 is at it again, and announced the name of an exploitable game for an upcoming VHBL release on firmware 3.52.
The game is only available on the JP PSN, but it’s free, so you might want to consider creating an account on the JP PSN if you’re looking for some exploit. Here’s how to switch your account to another region on PS Vita.
The name of the game is 探偵オペラ ミルキィホームズ 1.5 体験版 ～第１話「結成、ミルキィホームズ！」 (Detective Opera Milky Homes Demo). It’s a Demo, therefore it’s free :). you can find it on the PSN here.
That one’s actually episode 3. The Demo is episode 1. Sue me.
Keep in mind that 173210 announced he exploited the game and he is currently working on VHBL. There is no release at this point, and we’ve had a few bad surprises recently with ePSP exploits, as Sony have tightened their security. Nevertheless, the game is free so there’s pretty much no risk here.
173210 Had initially been contacted by Patchouli to help port an exploit that had been announced a while ago. That game was way too expensive (5000 yen, that’s about 40 dollars) and 173210 did ask for contributions in order to buy the game and analyze it. Ultimately, he chose to simply exploit something else. Free instead of $40? I’ll take it!

It’s a 1mb restriction and I think after the 3.50 update all game exploits have that restriction
Blacklisted games have a 1mb restriction, not all
I thought the 1mb restriction only applied to “minis”

With great effort I managed to install the game today (sep 5, 2pm central time).
I couldn’t find the game searching the menus, I had to enable japanese input and type a few katakanas in the playstation store to locate it.
I searched for “ミルキ” (mi-ru-ki).
All I did was type “1.5” in the search and it round it straight away lol

Oh god! I wasted my 30 mins for searching the game through the store. Just type “1.5” and you will see the demo in the list 😉

Doesnt the 1mb limitation only apply to “minis”
Why doesn’t someone just grab a pkg for it and release it? That way us on other regions can get it, and we’ll have it once it’s taken off, and we can install it thanks to the email hack.
The demo is not DRM free.
If this is a demo, is it possible to install the pkg via the email trick on 3.50?
What is the likelyhood of a possible TNV or Ark coming through this exploit? If it’s only VHBL then I’ll not even bother with it since I’ll lose access to all my games due to the exploit being JP only.
If I was to do this on a US ps vita would I need to to switch from a US to JP account each time I wanted to use the vhbl exploit. When it is released after all.
Buddehs, you can’t install psp demos through package installer. Psp demos are linked to your account, so you can’t transfer them over. Only soolution is to go on JP and set your system to english, search “1.5” and grab it. If you want TN-V and unfortunately updated out of Rejuv
Looks like I have to wait for a new game, it was pulled that fast.
Hence the problem with making announcements. You are basically alerting Sony of the existence of said potential exploit and just giving them the opportunity to fix the issue. While it’s fine to make announcements but with the way Sony has been plugging holes such as making PSP games having a near crippling 1mb of ram usage for homebrew and removing games not even hours after one of these announcements.
Perhaps it’s time to start being more “low-key” about this. It’s useful to provide information to the public, but when that same news source just gets back to Sony it becomes counter-productive. It’s a catch 22, I suppose.

So has this game been pulled yet or not? Im on an Aussie account so dont wanna both changing if its gone!
Also and this is a MUST KNOW, does this have the stupid 1mb limit? please give us a clear answer so we dont waste our time like with the Pool games and that Mini!

Just go onto the Japan PS Store its not on US or other ones), go to the search feature and type “1.5” without the quote marks! It will bring up a list of about 5-6 games, all with similar icons. Choose the very bottom one that has a number 1 on the icon!
You cant hack it yet as we have to wait for the exploit files to be released and a port of VHBL created, but when they are done and released, yes you can!
