‘New’ exploit game announced for PS Vita firmware 3.52 – Available in North America!
Our friends over at Hackinformer also covered the news of Patchouli’s japanese firmware 3.52 exploit game, but they also hinted at a US (NA?) exploit game for system software 3.52.
As far as I can ascertain, said northern american exploit game happens to be one of the commonly known Pool games. But which one?
After digging a bit further into the internet, I found out that the game Pool Hall Pro is the next firmware 3.52 exploit game for northern american PSN users.
Is World of Pool also exploitable, or is it not?
I could not find out if its european counterpart, World of Pool, is also re-re-re-exploitable (how often did those get exploited yet? Three, four times?), but it is highly possible that it might be (Not yet confirmed to be exploitable on 3.52!).
We will let you know when the files for the NA exploit are going to be released.

Edit: We are now certain about World of Pool‘s status of being able to be used as a firmware 3.52 exploit game, or it not being eligible as a firmware 3.52 exploit game for the Playstation Vita.

Is it possible to buy this game on a computer and download it to my ps3 some time later and then transfer it onto my 3.51 vita?
It’s totally possible with a jail broken ps3 running the latest CFW: 3.75. You could also use a spoofed version. I’ve done it myself on 4.75 CFW Habib Cobra Beta v0.3.
No “jailbroken” – I guess you mean hacked? 😉 – Playstation 3 required.
A normal PS3 + QCMA/OpenCMA + lower firmware Vita works as well.
Using the download queue trick? most likely. Considering it usually only works on the latest firmware, and since you’re reading this and hoping to get this game, you most likely are on 3.52 (the latest firmware), so it should work. But I wouldn’t know, I don’t have a PS3 lol.

@MyLegGuy, yesterday I downloaded and transfered Pool Hall Pro with my ps3 to my 3.50 vita. I had to first connect to pc and connect to qcma and then disconnect and hit ps3 to avoid the firmware update prompt you would get if you only hook it to ps3 straight away.

Unconfirmed, but just by the fact that this game has been exploited before, it’s probably VHBL.
There are 2 versions of World of Pool on the Australian PS Store! A normal one (which is like $11.95) and a PSP Essentials one, which is like $1 cheaper…which version should we get?
You would have to get the Essentials version, since its ID (cid=EP4015-ULES00821_00-PPCWORLDOF000001) is the same as the EU version.
The non-Essentials game has a slightly different ID.

So those of us who use the Aussie/Euro PSN, do we get “World of Pool (PSP Essentials) or the normal one? Seems to be the same game, but one is $1 or so cheaper =/.

Ok I managed to answer my own question, I bought the normal version and in doing so I was then able to download BOTH versions. It was downloading both versions in my download list, but when they both installed it only left 1 icon, so I gather its the exact same version of World of Pool!
So in that case, just buy the cheapest version 🙂
Hope Qwik releases the un-patched Kexploit to be used with this, that would be awesome! All I have right now is Puzzle Scape VHBL but unable to use any homebrew due to the 1mb file size limit, but World of Pool/Pool Hall Pro isnt a Mini so woohoo =D!

That is what I am wondering. I grabbed this prior to 3.52 being Required along with a few other PSP Games. If it will work on 3.52 and below, then until there is a CPS2/MVS Emulator for Native Vita, I will be using the PSP Emulator counterpart.
Hopefully this will work without needing another hacked psp/vita

Regardless of it being kernel or not, it’ll be better than the Puzzle Scape exploit since this game is an actual PSP game and not a mini (phew..)

In download list it explicitely says word of pool eu (psp essentials) (for vita and psp) automatic download disabled and thru account management on pc it says it cannot be installed on ps3. I went thru account management and managed on pc to get .xpd and could download the .pkg described in it, but vita doesn’t show the download button in its own browser. Only hope I guess for 3.51 is that puzzlescape is enough for our need, or wait for a genius to find a way to use these couples .xpd+.pkg (if others don’t encounter that problem then it might be because of a recent subscription to ps+ on my side but that s a pure guess). Or the vita/psp game in eu psn store just turned into a pure psp game?
I am on 3.51 and usually use my non jb PS3 to transfer legit psn games over. I rushed to buy this today and it says it can’t be downloaded via ps3. How else can I get it to my vita without updating? If I try through vita store it asks me to update
Well you have 2 choices then
1.) Stay on 3.51 and enjoy Rejuvenate
2.) Update to 3.52 and get the game.

But to answer your question, if it is able to use eCFW, then yes. But to start off, it’ll probably be VHBL.

get numblast, its the best game to be used as an exploit on 3.36 as it accesses your save file while its still on a black loading screen plus it can do everything except ps1 loader.

Numblast boots the exploit almost instantly as the game is still on a black loading screen before anything appears when it accesses your save file so there’s almost no need to use it as a base to make bubbles unless you need that 43mb of space, i just checked the US store and it seems to be only available for ps3 so that kinda sucks, i got it from the eur psn store on my vita just the other day though :/

ok so i see two different mentioned names in this “exploitable game” article used, world of pool, and pool hall pro. which is it in NA? i’d like it if it was clearer on this, as it is very vaguely stated. just saying, as i see pool hall pro in psp games section of NA psn store, but no world of pool, at all.
