Yifan Lu just announced it: the long wait is over: Those of you who stayed on firmware 3.51 and managed to install the PSM For Unity Dev assistant (you can see how to install it here) should now be able to enjoy homebrews, thanks to Netrix’s port of Rejuvenate to the Unity app.

However Yifanlu, who is behind the Rejuvenate hack, announced that Rejuvenate was also compatible with the PSM Unity App, assuming people would port his exploit’s code to this second app. The PSM For unity application has the great benefit of having looser license constraints, meaning that with a few tricks you can install it on your PS Vita today, even though Sony has also removed that one from the PSN.

Additionally, because the PSM Unity Dev assistant can debug through Wifi, it makes Rejuvenate compatible with the PS TV (Vita TV)

This port of YifanLu’s Rejuvenate was made mostly by Netrix. Yifanlu mentions that SMOKE was involved with testing and script modifications.

How to Install Rejuvenate, the PSM Unity app, and run your first homebrew

1. Make sure your PS Vita is on firmware 3.51 or lower. If you have firmware 3.52 or higher, your PS Vita cannot run the Rejuvenate hack
2. Install the PSM Dev Assistant for Unity on your Vita.
3. Download & Install Rejuvenate (once downloaded, run SETUP.bat and follow the instructions)
4. Get your developer license through PSM+. Follow the instructions here. (note: psmplus is also available on hackinformer)

You should be all set up. In order to confirm everything is working, go ahead and try to run your first homebrew.

How do I get Rejuvenate on my PSTV (VitaTV)?

YifanLu explained that you’ll need a PS Vita in addition to your Vita TV: install the client on your Vita and then move the memory card to the VitaTV. YifanLu mentions that that mr.gas will release a method for client installation that does not require a Vita to install.
