Missed out on the PSM Dev App? This might be your last chance to get it!
Even though we have told you that you might not be able to get the necessary PSM Dev application anymore, Yifan Lu has one final solution to this problem.
Keep in mind that Sony could fix this in mere days, if not hours, so act fast!
As we have mentioned in our last article, you are able to download the PSM Dev application, if you have signed in to the DevPortal in the past.
If you haven’t downloaded the PSMDevApp yet, you’re too late! You can no longer download if not already in your downloads list
— SMOKE (@SMOKE587) 15. Juni 2015
If you did not sign in to before, you were unable to download the PSM Dev application… But fret not! Yifan Lu has found a solution for this.
Simply head over to Sony’s DevPortal, and continue to the registration page. You will have to use a trick (simple copy & paste) to enable the sign-in button, since it is greyed out by default.
To activate and download the app, head over to Yifan Lu’s blog and follow the short and easy instructions. We reproduce them below.
From Yifan Lu’s blog:
Please note that the steps below requires running Javascript in the URL bar. Most browsers support this features, but I know that Chrome does not allow you to paste any text beginning with “javascript:" into the URL bar. So on Chrome (and possibly other browsers), you must paste just the text after “javascript:" into the URL bar and then manually type in “javascript:" at the beginning.
- First, begin the registration process by following this link.
- Enter the following into the URL bar on registration page
javascript:$("#lbl-dvrg-signin-signin").removeClass('disabled');- You should now be able to click the “Sign In" button. Proceed to sign into PSN.
- Enter the following into the URL bar on the license agreement page
javascript:$(".btn,.btn-primary,.btn-large,.spn2").attr('id','lbl-dvrg-agreement-next').removeClass('disabled').removeAttr('disabled');- You should now be able to click the “Next" button. Proceed with the rest of the registration. Complete the registration by clicking the link sent to your email and logging in again to PSN.
- PlayStation®Mobile Developer Assistant should now show up in your Downloads List on your Vita. You can download it from PSN on your Vita.
If you are done with it, go ahead and download the PSM Dev application from the PSN’s download list via your PS Vita. Note that the one you want is the PSM Dev app, not the PSM Dev for Unity app.
Keep in mind that this is most likely the last chance to get a hold of the necessary PSM Dev application, which is required to use the Rejuvenate platform.

Can I download the psm dev to the ps3 and then transfer it to my psvita?
I don’t have it right now 🙁
PD: Sorry for my poor english tho 😛
No.
First of all, do the registration thing NOW. Then get to your vita as soon as you can. But the registration step is what you need to do asap, you don’t need your vita for that
Lolo, when you say “then get to your vita”, can it be done on vita 3.18 using ps3 Qcma to transfer?
i logged in using ps3 and i see the PS mobile dvp assitant on my download list but it says “THIS CONTENT CANNOT BE DOWNLOADED".
am i doing this thing right? why the “content cannoot be downloaded" form downloaded list message?
my ps3 is running lattest update, and vita on 3.18 …thank you
Actually you can, but it requires you to use a proxy and for you to have the dev app in your download list. You then replace the download of any vita application to the psm app.
Indeed – in fact you can just download the PSM Dev pkg online (it’s posted somewhere on /talk) to your PC, setup your PS3 to use proxy (Charles proxy on your PC) then download any similar PSVita app onto your PS3 (preferably a “semi-big” size), exit the PS Store, pause the download, then find the link url for the pkg link download in Charles, link locally to the file of PSM Dev pkg on your PC, resume download on PS3 and voilà, you have the app ready to be transferred to your PS Vita.
Use the QCMA trick to bypass update requirement; connect to PC, open Content Manager on PSV, unplug from PC with Content Manager still open and cable connected to PSV, plug into PS3 and copy it over. Remember to have your PS Vita with wifi off and in flightmode (and restarted), prior to doing the trick, plu also remember to remove the proxy on your PS3 before initiating the trick, otherwise you’ll end up getting an error trying to copy the app to your PSV.
Does it work on 3.51 psvita?
Thanks! It Worked! Now i have both Arcade Darts and PSMDev Hacks!!
Hi,
is it possible via QCMA trick even if i dont have the dev app in download list? I couldnt do the registration, but i have a ps3 and already did the charles trick to copy the file to my ps3
Yes Kuri, here you have the trick: http://wololo.net/talk/viewtopic.php?p=388138#p388138
Heh, I tried doing something similar. I managed to get to the EULA but no matter what commands/html editing I did, I couldn’t get the Agree button to go anywhere. Thanks Yifan Lu
make sure u have javascript: typed in, on chrome it takes it away when you copy it
Same here. The button “Agree” is clickable but doesn’t do anything. Either in chrome or firefox
same doesnt work for me
cant click agree on the agreement page its blue like i can but doesnt do anything is it fixed?
Same problem, think they removed the link to the registration form page
Ok, thanks Wololo!
Sweet I am so freaking ready! Still on 3.18 with PSM dev and ball maze demo running. Thanks for the update pkg yifanlu!
How did you get it on 3.18? I registered and it doesnt download.
I actually downloaded PSM DEV when 3.18 was current.
still on 3.18 also but how did you do that? thanks
Did it on a ps3 via charls proxy on 3.18 as well with tn v and tn x
You guys on the scene are really a saviour
there seems to be a problem. when i tried to register last time the playstation dev site told me that it did not accept my application (through email).
Now when i am using the above method i accessed the website but my my profile still says “applying”
cant it reset that????/
your status should not matter, as long as you can download the app
hey guys dont know if im doing this right tried internetexplorer and firefox. i put in https://psm.playstation.net/portal/en/#register/signin and press enter. the sign in is greyed out so i then enter ‘javascript:(“#lbl-dvrg-signin-signin”).removeClass(‘disabled’);’ infront of the https://psm.playstation.net/portal/en/#register/signin and still nothing. am i dont somthing wrong or has it been patched 🙁
don’t put it “in front” of the url. *erase* the url and enter the javascript in the url bar
that didnt work cause it came up with a blank white page which had object on it but i figured it out… if any1 having the same problem as i was read my below comment … so Haps mans buzzing yo XD
this is my problem how u solve it
make sure u have javascript: typed in, on chrome it takes it away when you copy it
If you’re using Google Chrome, try bring up the JavaScript console and placing the code in the console. Dont forget to omit “javascript:” from the code.
A very easy way, at least for Firefox users, to do this, is to simply press f12, go to Console, and copy paste the commands as needed. Worked for me.
Turns out I had it in my downloads list this whole time. Now to make a backup and install it on all my other memory cards just in case…
Same here XD , although i cant remember when i download it !
So I have the Playstation Mobile Development Assistent on my Vita (even though my license is still being reviewed), I don’t have the PSM Dev for Unity for some reason, am I good with just the PSM Dev Assistent?
I posted too quick, read the article now, seems I am…still though, will I be fine without an approved license and just the app on my Vita?
Just the app is fine.
Great, thx for the reply!
How about for those lower than 3:15? eg. 3.10. do you hav an update package? I have the app but it asks me to update but the only update package I can find is for 3.15. I did not update before because I thought it include FW updating. do we have a compilation of all update packages?
I mean 2.10
I have the app but exactly HOW DO WE OPEN THE DOWNLAOAD LIST FROM PSN FW 3.50??????
i figured it out …. in chrome you have to bookmark the javascript by highlighting it and dragging it to you bookmark bar. then you rune the bookmark when your on the page …. thank yi fan i though i wouldn’t be able to get this on my vita after waiting so long for your release….. 😀
THANKS A TON. now all I need is to be able to actually download the thing to my vita. I’m on 3.18, my ps3 is currently broken. any ideas?
u dnt have to bookmark it, u just enter in console or u type the javascript: part because chrome takes it out when entered into the url
i have a problem ,i registered a while ago and downloaded the PSM DEV FOR UTILITY and it seems what i read is u need PSM Dev rather, am i wrong and how to download it if thats what i need
i found it in my downloads on the PSN store..Thank you
you mean “PSM Dev for Unity”? This is the wrong one, you need to get the other one
I followed the steps but I don´t see the PSM DEV in my store. I´m just able to see the PSM Dev for Unity. Any help?
This will be used for what?
Running native homebrews
ok thx
I can still download the psm development app, on The latest fw. I just sign in on my psm
Only get “PlayStation Mobile Development Assistant” in Download List – this it?
Yes. Install it
it works you just have to follow simple instructions.
having trouble is my url suppose to look like this? not sure how to do this, your help would be appreciated because the sign in button still not working.
https://psm.playstation.net/portal/en/index.html#register/signin/javascript:$(“#lbl-dvrg-signin-signin").removeClass(‘disabled’);
Granted i have a mac but i have downloaded and installed this a couple weeks ago on my vita running 3.51. on thing i cant seems to figure out though is that it wont back up on my computer like all my games and save files. both this and the unity app both throw out an error code and or dont back up at all? any ideas?
Since they are probably going to remove this app, I hope it’s possible. I’d like to upgrade to a larger memory card in the future.
im not 100% what I should be doing. or if im doing it correctly
the url should end up looking like this right?
https://psm.playstation.net/portal/en/index.html#register/signin/javascript:$(“#lbl-dvrg-signin-signin”).removeClass(‘disabled’);
because its taking me back to the sign in page but i still am not able to click the button. any help please?
How do i download the PSM app on my vita i have the certificate, I’m on version 3.18.
Update your vita to 3.51 and download the app.
Is there any way to download it without updating?
Use a PS3 to download a regular Vita app, but have the PS3 connect to Charles Proxy on your computer as the proxy server (port 8888), and as soon as the download starts, tell it to download in the background, and then immediately go pause it.
On Charles Proxy, you should see a connection to Zeus.PlayStation.com or similar. Expand that until you see the .pkg file it’s downloading. Copy the name, and rename the dev assistant package to the same name. (Google for links to the actual pkg. Someone on the forums uploaded copies to media fire.) Then right click the package that’s downloading, and select “map local” and select the renamed dev assistant package.
On the PS3, resume the download, and it should start over from 0% after a moment or two. Finally, just transfer it to the Vita by connecting to qcma on a computer, selecting the “copy files” option, and then unplugging the USB cord. Plug it into the PS3 while the content manager is still running on the Vita, and tell it to connect to the PS3.
If you’re on a cfw PS3 and don’t want to update, there’s a 4.75 spoffer floating around that might still work.
via ps3 ?
THIS IS THE LAST CHANCE FOR YOU GUYS! IF YOU MISS IT THEN BLAME YOURSELVE. DON’T BLAME WOLOLO/YIFANLU.
I downloaded the dev app on my vita ages ago (like right after PSM opened). Would this old version be ok to use?
Yes
Ok so just tried this trick and it seems to be working 😉
“internet explorer has modified this page to help prevent cross-site scripting”
any help plz?
Use Firefox Luke
wow! you are still using internet explorer?!? welcome to 1990!
i cant register, guys help some tutorial here
ive got the psm dev on lower firmware on psvita will the homebrew work on my vita?
Yes. As long as you’ve got the regular dev assistant (the “unity” one won’t work for this) you’ll be fine.
Yes
How can I download this on 3.36? I’ve already registered.
is it worth updating my vita to 3.51 just for the psm app. I don’t have a ps3 to use that charles proxy thing
Where is my dev license? Please help!
saying thank you wont be enough ,,, how do i donate
it did not work for me, only i see is ( object OBJECT )
when i copy and manually type first the javascript ” javascript:$(“#lbl-dvrg-signin-signin”).removeClass(‘disabled’);” on the url, guys help who fix your thank you in advance
Same …any solutions? :/
Does it matter on what FW your Vita is for the Rejuvenate platform thing or you’ll be fine as long as you have the PSM Dev application on your Vita?
The firmware doesn’t matter. Worst case scenario, there are ways to only update to a specific firmware if it ever becomes a problem in the future.
Unable to do this. Would be better to give Image Instructions.
You can’t copy and paste the “javascript:” part. You manually type that in front of the code you pasted into your url bar. It threw me off too, but I finally got it working in latest Chromium.
I am using Chrome. I did type it in from of the PS Link on the Sign In Page. Can not do it.
yehey thx wololo got it i used googlecrome
For those having trouble, make sure you manually type “javascript:” in front of the other code. You can’t copy n paste that part. Obviously, make sure you aren’t blocking javascript. This is confirmed working in latest Chromium.
Also, click the link in your email to complete the registration. Check your Spam box – email should be almost instant.
PS Dev can then be downloaded from your Vita, Enjoy!
It says File not found, is it patched ?
Hellz yea got it ty ty ty ty ty
Please help it says file not found for me !!
Can you please try to give me some tips like
Which browser you’re using
Or where do i add the java script ? At the end of the link ?
Like this
http://psm.playstation.net/portal/en/#register/signinjavascript:$……..
Please !
use chrome, hit f12 when u r on the site and paste the javascript in the console that popped up on f12
Copy and paste everything but the 1 obviously because the code needs to start with Javascript
i have it already :-“
im updating now…..hope it works
Lol i just realized i need to download both right ???
For everyone who struggling with javascript: in Chrome you can open console by pressing Ctrl + Shift + J and enter the code there.
or f12
