Release: Firmware 3.51 VHBL for PS Vita & Playstation TV! Exploited game is a free Demo! (JP Store)
Important update: we mistakenly wrote that the US name of the game was “Toukiden: Age of Demons” but it is actually Toukiden: Kiwami. The Japanese name is still accurate, and this doesn’t change a thing: unless stated otherwise, you need to create a Japanese account on the PSN in order to get this PSP Demo.
Japanese developer 173210 has released an VHBL for the PS Vita (and PS TV) firmware 3.51.
The required exploit game is Toukiden: Kiwami (DEMO) and it is only available in the Japanese Playstation Store (as far as we know).
As the name of the game lets you assume, it is in fact a Demo version of the Toukiden: Kiwami (『討鬼伝 極 体験版』) game. This means the game is free!
As showcased in the video above, you can see that you can easily run the VHBL via this free exploit game, if you are capable of getting it onto your device, that is.
Keep in mind that the VHBL is still being improved (its version number indicates version 0.1), but the game is free of charge, so who are you to complain about this.
The demo version of Toukiden: Kiwami can be obtained via the Japanese Playstation Store, or simply via this Online-Store link (Still JP-Only).
Since firmware 3.51 has fixed the public kernel mode exploits, which are required to run the ARK-2 & TN-V11 eCFWs, you won’t be able to use those on firmware 3.51.
If you happen to be on firmware 3.50 (three point five zero!), then you are able to grab this exploit game and run TN-V & ARK-2 (theoretically).
Once again this Japanese exploit was found by Japanese developer 173210. He has released various Japanese exploits in the past, and has also improved the VHBL’s source by quite a lot!
Funnily enough, this exploit has been found by a few other developers as well, but they used the UMD Version(s) of the game for their exploits.

It has to be a psp demo, sadly there aren’t any on the US store.

Is it the PSP game? VHBL is for PSP games, not Vita ones. Toukiden has versions for Vita and PSP, so don’t make a confusion here
No Toukiden: Kiwami PSP on the EU store, as you said, there is only Toukiden for the psvita 🙂
If someone would release a way to invoke the Package Installer on 3.51 then this would be a big hit. If not then it’s only limited to the one’s who either has a JAP PSN account or for those whom are still on 3.18 and below…

Though if it’s DRM free someone who has multiple Vitas could install the package on a 3.18 or lower FW version and restore it to their 3.51 Vita. But I guess at that point you might as well just use VHBL or eCFW on a lower FW vita…
That is also one way to do it, but I’m betting on the case that someone might only have at least 1 Vita so that’s that. Well as far as I know, just about every Demo is DRM-free (ares server). I for one have a backup of the Demo’s that I’ve acquired back when I was still on 3.18. And they are DRM-free as far as my tests have brought me, the best one there is, although not a demo but rather a F2P game is Judas Code xD.

You may only use one PSN account at the same time on your PSP/Vita.
Changing it enforces a system (not memory card) wipe.

Say I am on 3.18, and I installed the JP demo through package installer. Then say I update to 3.51 would the demo/exploit still work on a US Vita? I don’t want to update now but this would be cool if it’s possible.
When you update any packages you’ve installed remain, so yes. And this is assuming the package is in fact DRM free. I still have a couple JP only demo’s installed on my US linked Vita on 3.50.
It would lack the license and it wouldnt match your account.

Does This mean it’s a kernel exploit and we just have to wait for ark? How was sony possible to fix it for 3.51 is they didn’t know the game , or did it happen besides other fixes without the purpose to fix this one. Have a good evening everyone 🙂

No, the link is a PSVita demo. Only the PSP Demo of Toukiden will be valid for the exploit.
I have to tell you guys that this game demo is in hongkong psn store also. It has both chinese demo and japanese demo . English demo is availiable for previous game
