    No joy for this boy……..
PSP 3000: – 6.60PRO-B10 [mac address non standard format]
Vita 1000: – Firmware 3.50 [mac address normal]

Plugin enabled on PSP (all other plugins disabled)
    start WOP (EU)
    load save file
    PS Vita, start WOP (EU)
    load save file

    start Ad Hoc multiplayer (PSP)
    attempt to join game (Vita)
Vita will ‘freeze after 5-10 seconds’
spits error “An error has occurred. (C1-2858-3)
    🙁

    • Wombat

am still trying (as per the definition of insanity) – and so far only change is that it will freeze at the connection point and not spit the error out.

  5. VitaIsPSP2

I remember dreaming back in the PSP 100 days of a hack over Wifi. Can’t believe it’s finally happened.

  6. Jerry

After several failures and redo those instructions, this exploit finally works for me using Pool Hall Pro. My PS TV is on 3.36 and my hacked PSP is on 6.60 PRO B-10. FYI : )

    • Fabiano

Hey brother I have the same configuration of you, could you please give me some tips about where you were struggling. Thks

    Soory not english…

  8. martn

EU Version world of pool…. Aber auf PSP ein anderes backup gehabt die die PSN Version

  9. BlackFire27

PSP Go N1001 Pro CFW C-2 6.20, Vita 1k 3.50, US Version. Veteran here with no success whatsoever.

  10. Ricocher90

I’m confused, the guide on the download page says “Make a file called ms0:/seplugins/game.txt,as far as I know you can’t even make a file with this name so I tried using just GAME.txt and placing it in the seplugins folder and it doesn’t works.

Anyone can tell me what I’m doing wrong?

    I have a psp 2000 running LME 6.61 and a Vita fat.

    • dothackjhe

That method is if you will be using an already hacked PS Vita unit, not PSP.

    • Fabiano

If your psp don’t have the game.txt file in this directory ms0:/seplugins/ (ms0 = root) you can create it, otherwise you just need to add a new line in game.txt

  11. Leandre

Im on 3.36 and im completly unable to get the savedata on my psvita, ive tried vita update blocker, qcma , open cma and it always ask me to update my software. Help please

    • Nico345

I use Open CMA, but I have to make sure my Vita isn’t connecting to a wifi access point, otherwise it still asks to update.

      • CaR

Turn on CMA Or Open CMA, turn off Wi fi on Vita, shut down Vita, while connected usb to the PC, turn on Vita, Vita will connect to the PC, no update prompt.

  12. Chronical

I keep getting the C1-2858-3 Error Code on my EU 3.50 Vita and a 6.60TN-V PSP 3000 with the EU World of Pool ISO. Tried about 20 times now. I tried disabling all other seplugins but it doesn’t seem to do the trick. Does the PSP ISO have to come from the PSN? It shouldn’t be the case, right? It just needs to upload said package via the Ad-Hoc connection if I got this right.
Bummer, thought I could go nuts on MHP3rd tonight.
Anyways, thanks for doing this, I’m sure there’ll be updated files if you find out what’s causing this.

  13. Johnson Steward

well..just hasnt anyone got stuck with the red screen? it seems that i triggered the exploit, but after a really looong time of waiting at the white(or grey?) screen i get a red screen and the game exits. no crash. no freeze. no error messages. but i do notice an extremely lag when trying to open other app bubbles(installed apps only, i mean w/o sys apps), the bubble spins in the middle of screen for ~3 times then slowly come into the livearea. im on fw 3.50 with us php, and i use psp3000 6.61pro as the hacked device.

  14. Andre Franco

I do it, work in the first try.
    Using:
    PSP 6.60 PRO-C
    PSVite 3.36
    Pool Hall Pro(US Version)

    Thank you so much Qwikrazor.

  18. Logite

  19. dadudeondacouch

I got it to work once using a vita 2000 3.36 and old psp 1000 but now it won’t work at all

  20. Aoi Mizu

    Failure: Error Code:C1-2858-3
    Game:(EU) World of Pool
    PSP:(EU) PSP3000 (Model 03g) running CFW 6.20 Pro-C2
    PSVita:(EU) PCH2000 fw 3.50 (Error Code: C1-2858-3)

  21. Andre Franco

Ok i get it to working. But am new to this, so what i need to do now?
I search about bubbles and i tried it, but i can’t make it work.

    • wewt

Same here… got the exploit to work and have no idea what to do afterwards. Will there be another tutorial forthcoming?

      • Shinryu

Yep. Same. I got it working on my 3.50 PSTV. I got the shell menu and everything, but don’t know what to do after this.

It’s great being able to navigate the shell and all, but I wish I knew how to copy homebrew and emulators to my PSTV after this. I mean it’s fine having access to the Shell, but if I can’t do anything else after this then it’s use is rather limited.

Any information on what to do after you get the shell working would be greatly appreciated.

        • Leandre

You cant do anything more on 3.50, bubbles only on 3.36

          • Shinryu

You don’t need Bubbles to run homebrew.

A bubble just makes things convenient to access directly from the main menu, but there is nothing preventing to load a custom eboot directly from the shell itself. However to copy stuff TO the PSTV to be able to do exactly that is my current issue.

  22. Leandre

Can we have a tuto to how install a bubble from there on?

  23. TheGalaxy

Got it working the first few tries, after a while my PSVita gave me the code: C1-2858-3.

    Game:(EU) World of Pool

    PSP: PSP3004
    CFW 6.60 PROMOD-C

    PSVita: PCH2004
    FW 3.50

  24. John-Bob

Yhe exploit doesn’twork for me, the game acts normally (no error).
The saves are in the right places and the plugin is active, same as wifi.
I have retying many times, but it’s not more conclusive.
    The PSP : 6.20 PRO-B7 & Vita : 3.36 EU.

  25. huz84

my laptop internet psn world of pool eu wait download? pkg eboot.pbp and not iso cso ef0 or ms0 plugin.txt game.txt ef0:/seplugins/wop_adhoc_exploit.prx , psp/savedata n psp n1000 5g create wifi player with freeze ps vita world of pool jone error freeze 🙁

  26. TheDoctor

Okay, so I have my hacked PSP hosting the game, but my Vita keeps searching for a host and never finds one. Anyone have any idea what’s going on?

  27. Rob

Ok, I got the exploit working at the first try (PS Vita Slim OFW 3.50, Pool Hall Pro & PSP 3000, CFW 6.60 PRO-C)

And this might be the stupidest question of the year, but, what next? I mean will you guys be releasing next a VHBL or something?, or is it already out? (To run emulators of GBA, SNES, NES).

By the way thanks to Quickrazor, Wololo and basically everyone contributing in the scene! =D

  28. monkeysrumble

Okay so I got the exploit to work first try but I had to borrow a friends PSP in order to hack it. I’m on 3.50 firmware, is there any hope for a custom bubbles coming out for 3.50 or any other viable alternatives? (I’m currently just keeping it running in the background).

Any help is much appreciated, thanks a bunch. And thanks to everyone who help made and distribute this hack, even if I can’t keep it running the work you guys have done is amazing.

  29. Nico345

Well, big giant thanks for the exploit, which I’ve been able to pull off using a unhacked Vita on 3.36 and a hacked PSP on TN-V 6.6x, but unfortunately that’s as far as I can get.

I’ve been able to boot to a different menu, and I’ve been able to get different files to show up in the file explorer, but I haven’t been able to run anything from there, whether it’s an iso in a zip file or a program like PSP filer, I can’t get anything done. I’ve tried following that custom bubble tutorial video from Vett but he loses me when he says to start up VHBL when I thought this was eCFW?

I haven’t given up, still going to dig around and try to figure it out, but I definitely didn’t stumble this hard when Fifa 11 was the latest game exploit…

    • Nico345

Yep, looks like I was up against my own sheer stupidity on that one… I was apparently dyslexic and misread the controls explanation at the bottom with ‘Start’ being to run a file… Ah but it’s moments like these that make me enjoy this kind of stuff. X)

  30. Sky Yuki

Thank you! now Sony will fix the problem had exist in firmware 3.50!
It’s doesn’t happen with everybody but here the problem
    -Lost connection to PSN store
-Game fail to launch or crash
-Fail to copy games from CMA

    ^
Hope that they fix it and NOT just fix the exploit
But I bet Sony will only fix the exploit 😛

  31. mack

is there anyone in montreal that can help me out with their hacked ps vita or psp??

  32. wombat

psp 3000; vita 3.50 – WOP EU. 2nd release (airplane mode setup) – worked about 4 times, then started spitting C1-2858-3 errors.
Have tried a clean reinstall (psp and vita), but no joy.
anyone has any thoughts? (or similar issues???)

    • wombat

then powered everything off. – even the Laptop that runs the CMA (now Open CMA) app – and just retried the PSP/PSV [left laptop off]..
      BINGO – working again…..

  33. Valvat0rez

Am I the only one getting corrupt saves in my games? I’m on FW 3.50 hacked with the PHP exploit, but some games (like Gods Eater Burst, Crash of the Titans, Monster Hunter, Midnight Club L.A. Remix) are unable to load due to the saves being corrupt. HELP ME!!!

  34. masterkentaro

So what do you do when you get to the pro shell menu

    • Nico345

That menu is one of several menu options for Ark, but the pro shell menu is where you have access to the file structure and can launch homebrew and ISOs from (you press start on the appropriate file to run it, for example)

This exploit simply gets you to the custom firmware, it’s up to you to put the programs/homebrew/etc on it, typically by transfering the appropriate files to the Vita in a save file folder (make sure not to use the save folder for the exploit game or any folders used for booting ARK).

      • bagogeano

Can you link me to a tutorial or explain how exactly to transfer an iso to the vita after the exploit is working? You say put the iso in a new save folder. But how do I do that? What do I name the new save folder? Do I just rename the iso something like GAME1.iso?

        • Nico345

While it may be possible to make a fake save folder, I typically just use one of the pre-existing ones on my vita. Any save files for a PSP game should work fine, just use CMA to copy one to your PC, default location for them is Documets>My PSVIta, and then a folder named something like PSPsavedata or something like that.

Just don’t use the save folder for the pool game exploit, or if you have the ARK_12345 folder in there, i’d leave that alone too, any other PSP save folder should work.

There’s a good tutorial about ARK in general on wololo.net, including moving stuff over, right here: http://wololo.net/2013/01/15/the-ark-guide-tutorials-tricks-tips-and-more/

  35. yaminoest

hi,sorry but after the hack i want to press the sleep button but when i log back the hack is crash.can anybody tell me how to fix this.btw my psvita is 3.50 using PHP and when i hack is turn red on the 1st try and the next time is work and when i want to do that again i must shutdown and repeat cant access the hack menu after sleep :l

  36. pspsoldier

    Waiting for TN-V…
TN-C and Ark is good but TN-V will always be the best #1

  37. vinnywubs

When I get to the hacked menu, how do I run homebrews? I want to run this one PSP game I have.

    • Nico345

You”ll need to put the homebrew files into a save data folder on your PC and then use Open CMA/QCMA to transfer the save folder to the vita. Then you can use the ‘hacked menu’ to navigate to the homebrew files on your vita, move them where you want them, and run them.

      • vinnywubs

okay, so do I just put the iso inside the save data folder and rename it to something below 5 letters and put it on the vita with qcma?

        • Nico345

Yes, also make sure its all caps, including the extension, like GAME.ISO

          • vinnywubs

I got QCMA. So I put the my iso file in a monster hunter save data file, and moved it using the ps vita content manager. The iso file never shows up in the folder i put it in, what am I supossed to do?

          • Nico345

Odds are there’s something wrong with the name format of the ISO file. Make sure that there are only 6 characters before the . and that ALL the letters are in all caps, includingg the .iso extension, so for example, GAME.ISO would be acceptable. Again, it’s important that even the file extension is in all caps. GAME.ISO would work, GAME.iso won’t. If you can’t see the file extension, you’ll need to make file extensions visible in your PC’s folder options/folder layout options.
