Been waiting for a 3.36 exploit for PS TV, since I want to get Damascus Gear, but didn’t want to lose exploitability that 3.20 offers.

  2. ChrisHighwind

What luck! I just so happen to have a hacked PSP on hand!

  3. Gaze

Good, I’ve been waiting for a 3.36 exploit as I only recently got a Vita (A couple days after all exploit games were removed from psn). I already have two hacked psps so this sounds promising.

  4. simk0024

    Waiting!

  5. Bluke

I’m currently run Numblast ARK-2 on my 3.36 Vita. But if it unpatchable I still willing to get it..

  6. RaZiel

I might so this and update my PSTV to gain PSN back but for now Patapon is still my exploit of choice. Hopefully there is a way to auto launch as that would steer me away from 3.20 finally. I would love to keep direct access to PSN as the transferring from PS3 to PSTV is annoying at best.

  7. wilfredo

i dont have a second device but i do have 1 vita. i have patapon 2 so vhbl is available for me i hope this works for me

  8. rclr

I have 2 slim psp and 1 phat sitting around, although I mostly use my psp go With a cfw. Can I use my go instead my psp? Bc I un install it back to ofw. And I have a psvita slim that I want to hack..

I don’t know anything about this, but just speculating… It sounds like you can use any PSP you want so long as it’s able to run homebrew. (Maybe doesn’t even have to run homebrew). Considering qwikrazor said you can use a second hacked PS Vita (basically the most limited form of a PSP), I’d assume any model PSP would work.

      • zzsa

hacked PS Vita is not the most limited form of a PSP…
I’m not sure if hacked vita refers to VHBL or CEF, but either way, it can run unsigned psp homebrews. (while PSP running OFW would not be able to run unsigned homebrew)

Most limited form of PSP would probably be PS Vita’s ps1 emulator. AFAIK PS Vita’s ps1 emulation is done through psp emulator with different features enabled/disabled to only allow ps1)

Well, I see your point, but I didn’t mean it that way. I meant if you have them all hacked and running a CFW (or eCFW) then the Vita is pretty much the least useful one. Also, I’d kinda argue that an OFW PSP doesn’t count because any PSP can be hacked now on the newest FW. And right, the PSV PS1 emulator, I didn’t think about that really because it’s not useful for anything except PS1. xD Either way, good eye for detail. But I think you can still see my point in trying to answer his question.

I’m staying on 3.18 and not budging, but this does sound awesome. I’m probably gonna get another Vita some time soon so I don’t have to deal with being on an older firmware, so it’d be nice knowing I’d never have to worry about ePSP exploits on it.

me gusta esta pagina good news

  11. gbro

    All hail the razor

  12. solidsnake

    im ready…go

  13. Bizzy

Vita and psp in hand! Lets do this.

  14. mixedfish

I don’t care about PSP homebrew/piracy that stuff , this is just chasing *** from 7 years ago. v3.18 with pkg installer is that type of stuff that’s actually relevant, being able to get demos etc from other regions especially Japanese stuff is one of the best work arounds ever.

  15. NoPatience

u mean we can update ps vita to latest fw and still keep the expoit, i mean future fw’s

    • qwikrazor87

      test.

    • qwikrazor87

don’t take it literally, “more unpatchable” was meant that it’s unpatchable by Sony’s usual method of patching savedata exploits, which won’t work here since it’s not a savedata exploit, but I’m sure with a bit of thinking they can patch it.

  16. Dann

Waiting for that, i have PSP and PS Vita 😀

  17. Darcio

Eu também tenho um explorável jogo que só eu tenho e não o torno público para que a sony não o remende.

  18. MrSparkles

hoping one gets released my wife updated my vita from 3.18 =\ last week

  19. Moondemon

My Vita still is on 2.02 using the Uno exploit as I am not doing much with it. I don’t even know a single Vita game that makes me think “Oh wow I really want to play this”. The biggest use of my Vita has been playing emulated Advance Wars, Jeanne D’Arc and Wagic….

  20. Moons

The article isn’t very clear, i take it we have to have a vita AND an additional Vita/PSP (Cracked) for the exploit to work? Would it be possible to borrow a friends vita to hack my own? My PSP died a few months back and never bothered replacing it since my Vita now takes its role.

  21. taliesintaliesin

I think it’s ‘more unpatchable’ than usual savedata xploits and if it’s released the night b4 Sony releases its “next vita ‘update…'” the patch team will have to delay it or better still, it will make all future updates postponded indefinitely…

  22. gunblade

    Cool. thks.

  23. gunblade

Got two vitas 2.06 3.06 but I might jus get a psp go soon. and a vita slim. or vita tv.

  24. Peter

I’m gonna let my PSPs know that the time to have their batteries charged has come yet again! They’ve been so sad sitting dead and stuff in that self for so long…. They get to be use(d)ful again! Hooray for my old buddies!!!! \ :v /

  25. RodPin

Time to take the dust out of my PSP? Yeah!!!

  26. O-bake

I will stay on 3.18 hoping the webkit exploit might still come in handy.

  27. Leykis

Not gonna hold out anymore. Purchased a PSP Go and will be updating my 3.18 Vita to the current version. Plus, I wanted remote play for my PS4.

    • lolzoar

Finally! Good on you mate. I updated from 3.20 last week and have been having a blast playing online and remote playing.

  28. dragonkid6

Finally, a reason to pull out my psp-slim. …I still play GvGN+ when I’m bored >_>

  29. doyle54

I hope an ePSP kernel exploit

  30. stupid_me

i might sound stupid…but its it possible to use PPSSPP emulator instead of real PSP device for this hack?

  31. osmium

PSV with 3.01 firmware and Arcade Airhockey and Bowling [Custom Emulator Firmware 6.60 TN-V8 by Total_Noob]. I’m leaving for Iceland for a short vacation, please can you wait untile the 7 April to release the exploit??? : D
    Thank you anyway.

  32. ......

but if we update from 3.18 to 3.36 were lost packages installer rigth? 🙁

  33. fruitskitten

Been waiting for an upcoming 3.36 Vita hack.

  34. bullshitter

I’m more excited to know what makes this unpatchable and how it works

  35. Jerry

I bought two PS Vita TVs one month ago, and am waiting for an exploit game. I also got a hacked PSP, and now it can be used to hack my PS Vita TV. This is really a good news for me!!! Thanks so much : )

  36. Amnos Adikos

My Vita is still at 3.01 with the King of Pools exploit running TN-V10

Is there anything ‘better’ for me worth updating and stepping up or should I just keep waiting this way?

The only Vita game I really play is the Metal Gear Solid Collection, and everything else is mainly PSP stuff.

    • lolzoar

Dude, you should just update to 3.36 and get the exploit QuickRazor will be releasing. I trust him to release something good.

    • Darthsternie

      Never ever update man.
You have Webkit exploit and PKG Installer 😀

      • Amnos Adikos

        WHOOOSH! and WHOOSHH!!

This is why I felt luck getting that Pool exploit and stopped there. I don’t think anything is worth stepping up unless its an actual Vita hack perhaps.

Everything else still seems the same to me more or less, but what I learnt from the PSP scene years ago is to stay as low as possible with the firmware for the longest times. I had a few PSPs and did the mistake of madly updating before, and regretted that later.

Anyways, I’m obviously no developer or computer programmer, I’m not so good with that stuff, honestly.
But I try to follow up on the updates as much as possible.

Anyways, if there’s one more game I would like to play on my vita, it would be Dead or Alive 5.

Aside from that, I don’t see any nice vita games (aside from MGS, not really vita though.)

        [just sharing :D]

        • Amnos Adikos

Okay! One thing I forgot to mention!

I would like to get that bubble hack thing, that would be a nice step up!

Rather than getting into the pool game, save game exploit and stuff.

It’s not a big pain but it would be a nice update – if there’s a way for me to safely do that, then that would be great!

If I must mention, I’m not big on the online thing and connecting to the internet with the vita, but I guess the only problems are the game firmware security blocks (like that *** on the psp before)

  37. Aramaru

Wohoo this is really interesting. I was forced to update to 3.36 because I play games on Japanese PSN that require update in order to play and I don’t have hacked vita however I have temporary CF on PSP. If this hack would need hacked PSP only (which I reaaaaly doubt) then It would be revolutionary + if it was unpatchable… I would be able to make it work on any vita firmware… but I doubt this is possible 😀

  38. reaper666

    exciting

  39. nebu_187

so also possible with a playstation TV on eCFW i guess, sounds great but since the webkit exploit might have a future ill wait and stay on 3.18 & 3.20. Keep up the good work Qwikrazor! Its crazy how many things you release!

  40. Kadno

Vale a pena ficar na 3.18? Pois tenho jogos que gostaria de baixar da PLUS atualmente.
