Release: CapusbPSP by 172310
Japanese developer 173210 just released CapusbPSP. As the name reveals (kind of), this is a tool to capture usb traffic from the PSP.
173210 started working several years ago on the PSP’s usb drivers analysis, which could be leveraged on the Vita as well: the PSP’s usb communication to a PS2/PS3 also works from within the PSP emulator on the PS Vita.
Capusbpsp’s source code has been released to contribute to this quest. 173210 hasn’t given on on his project to understand and reverse engineer USBPSPCommunicationDriver (a project started back in 2013), and is asking for help completing the task.
If you can help, feel free to lend a hand to 173210 in our forums.
Once compiled, capusbpsp can be run as a plugin on any CFW-enabled PSP

hmm, I wonder how this project will hold up on 3.30+ since the majority of the usb functions were dummied and one of the modules were removed (usbpspcm_2.prx).
It still has to work, otherwise the Vita was capable of using PSP games that connect to a PS2/3 via USB, but not isnt anymore.
what? and by chance if ran from inside the vitas psp emulator could you find a way to reverse it and send things into the vita via this method.

You know that USB is wired and Wifi is wireless?
not the same person, but it’s not always that you have wi-fi available, also lag free, so yeah, having the option to connect to the internet via usb may be niche, but it’s not unreasonable..
Get a PSV TV in that case. It supports wired LAN.
That’d be helpful to me since my psp 3000 has the wifi sc*** so I can’t make use of the online pro cfw feature.
That could actually be possible, using a server on the computer, and a virtual device.
However, USB protocol is designed to work without lag, so it would be unlikely to work. (Wifi has a higher lag.)

I mean the psp camera anyways needed the port so its well powered etc and perfectly possible
