Sony celebrates the Vita’s 3rd birthday with free stuff and a massive sale
Well. First of all, let’s get one thing out of the way: The PS vita was actually released in December 2011, and what’s being celebrated here is the anniversary of the release in the rest of the world, back in February 2012.
Now that the record’s been set straight, let’s move on to the important event here: What best way to celebrate the birthday of the PS Vita than with a great sale? And Amazon has just the thing for Vita owners:

Sword Art Online and Tales of Hearts R in particular have received very decent reviews (see reviews here for Sword Art Online, and here for Tales of Hearts R) and would be recommended at that price point.
On the other hand, Angry Birds Star Wars will need to lose a bit more weight before it reaches the price point that people expect for an “Angry Birds” game…
As always, you’ll get more bang for your bucks if you’re a PS Plus user. May I remind everyone that eBay are currently selling $50 PSN Codes for $40. If you’re interested in the Sony sale, that’s an additional discount right there.
If you only want the free stuff, just go to the PSN store on your Vita and you should find the goodies fairly easily.

It kinda bothers me a little that the Vita is getting this attention by Sony these days….
Like, either something really good will come soon or they will abandon it and forget it like it never happened.
Maybe what they concluded was that if they seize to spend advertising money on it, or very little, they’ll have better luck making some revenue off of the device. It really is awesome! It’s sad that only a niche audience will every know/see that.

3 years and barely any support. I checked my email and the three games they were advertising were 3 indie games. Dont get me wrong, I love my vita and I love Hotline miami 2, but step your game up sony. Even the PSP at this point felt a little more fleshed out. Can we get like one tekken game? How about a original AAA-rpg? At this point im just using my VITA as a HD PSP emulator.
I hear ya man. With all the effort they put into keeping the system from getting hacked you’d think they would have bigger plans for it. I still have my hopes.

Just got a borderlands slim vita bundle today(3.35 unfortunately my walking dead “phat” was some crazy low fw 1 or 2 major version IIRC) anyways I thought that I briefly observed some sale *** while redeeming the borderlands code.
And yeah, my vita is purely a PSP machine to me with hopes of hacking it to add my crapload of psx games although I did buy a few, very few vita games, e.g. demon gaze p4golden, etc. but the rest… no thanks. Just not many good jRPGs for it which is what I EXPECT from a console. e.g. I mean borderlands?! Seriously?! I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m going to guess that it’s a severely cutdown borderlands, although I’m not really a huge borderlands fan. (Have it for my desktop played it for maybe 10-20h… not a big FPS fan either although I did like the halflives and Team Fortress Class/Fortress Forever…)
Not to sound like a total scrub, but is there a way to buy one of these from the store and get it onto the Vita while on 3.18?

SO far not the expectation me and many buddies were wanting from sony. This sale blows as these games have been out for quite sometime and should be under the 20 dollar usa championship belt. The mention of not supporting of Playstation Tv angers many people i know and other i have read on many forums is just plane crazy.
This reminds of the of the cool console sega dreamcast. All these so called sales only to move sale percentage but the merger is not apparent because the ps4 is the main focal point of sony computer entertainment not the ps3 hardly and def not the ps vita or its baby brother the ps vita tv.
Tales of Hearts, Hyperdevotion Noire etc have not been ‘out for quite sometime’. In fact good luck finding games for any console ‘under the 20 dollar USA championship belt’ that have been out less than 6 months.

If you buy an American PSN code from the American ebay, you can’t use this code for a PSN profile other than an american one.
