It was hyped up to be a homebrew channel but it’s not. It’s just a lame HBL with a usermode exploit.
I always said it would be *** and now that it’s released I can confirm it is ***.
When a good dev patches it so it can run backups then it’ll be great, till then it’s *** and not worth it.

  2. DarkenLX says:

so glad he tested on the n3ds and confirm it was working on n3ds only to release it before n3ds got released worldwide thanks now nintendo will patch it on n3ds us versions how stupid now n3ds usa and where ever else is f***ed

    • Shugo says:

The way you put it is harsh, but I do agree. I wish he would’ve waited longer. I have a Japanese N3DS so I’m good there, but I don’t have high hopes of this working on my US N3DS once that comes out.

I do place a lot of blame on the angry mob pressuring him about it for the past several months, though. Seems like every single tweet he made was met with at least one or two “yeah that’s cool but when the heck are you releasing the hack you stupid lazy idiot??? why did you break your promise you jerk???????” It must’ve been agitating as heck. Usually people in that position just pack up and quit, so I’m glad he chose to release instead.

    • JP says:

think of t this way, by the time the n3ds comes out in the us there will allready be another exploit in all probability

    • reaper527 says:

n3ds isn’t coming out world wide for a long time. it’s already confirmed it won’t be coming to the us before 2nd half of 2015, meaning you are talking about delaying the exploit at least 7 months (and hoping nintendo doesn’t find and patch it anyways).

what you are talking about just isn’t realistic.

  3. Relys says:

Working great on all my 3DS’s!

  4. karasu says:

just a question, do u always need cubic ninja inside or once you installed the channel like wii u dont need it anymore?

  5. Pirate3dstosteal says:

So we can steal 3ds and vita games now?? This is great news finally

  6. 3dspirareh says:

Fantastic news we can finally steal vita games on the 3ds.

  7. Rg says:

Will this work with a gateway card with cubic ninja rom???

    • Asamidare says:

Yes, it works. Every time you want to launch it though, you have to scan the qr code with wifi active.
Get the qr the first time from that web site and right click/save image as on your desktop.
And when you exit the channel, your console is rebooted, so you’re kicked out from GW mode. Don’t panic.

      • N says:

You must have a legit copy. not a rom.

      • mario mario says:

“Every time you want to launch it though, you have to scan the qr code with wifi active.”

you can simplify it in opening only the QR code option, and it boots directly to homebrew channel if you already done the qrcode thing in the first place, no need to scan the qr code everytime you open it

also if you know to install it via CIA, its is also working so you will always have the cubic ninja icon in your menu

  8. Alexandre says:

Where the QR code for the 9.2.0-20U? Just see for J and E.

  9. mb123 says:

Success. Works with the latest firmware without any problems

  11. cris says:

with a kernel exploit like gateway this is irrevelant…

    • N says:

No it is not. Gateway is an over priced pile of trash that only works on 4.1 to 4.5. Yes, I know they plan on stealing smeas work and Sky 3ds’s work to claim it as their own.

    • Anon says:

      >with a kernel exploit like this gateway is irrelevant…
      Fixed that for you.

GovanifY, please make sure the Chinese mafia doesn’t get you before you release CFW for 9.2!

  12. Iugoslavija Muisca says:

with help of R4 cartridges, everything is possible

  13. guy says:

I’m currently on firmware 1.1.0-0U. I was wondering if there was a way to update to the oldest allowable firmware for this exploit, or if there were any plans on adding older firmwares to the list.

    Thanks

Also, you can tell I haven’t booted up my 3DS in ages 🙂

    • Anon says:

You’ll need a cart of the game that was released bundled with desired firmware.
Go to 3ds.essh.co and choose the suitable game according to “firmware” column, then buy/borrow/find the game in question and update your 3DS firmware by running it.

    • Jiro says:

I would suggest only updating using a game in the 4.1-4.5 range, so you still keep the ability to use Gateway if you want to someday. (Since ninjhax works with firmware as low as 4.0).

  14. Jamx says:

I would love to see how well the N64 emulator to be running with 3DS homebrew exploit.

  15. Gooder says:

Anyone knows how the NES and Gameboy emulator run on the 3DS?
They were pretty bad on the Wii

    • mario mario says:

Gameboy emulator runs decent, but it still don’t have the option to change screen res, it still uses the res of the Gameboy, and not sure if the SGB option works in the current release

I have yet to try the nes emu in the homebrew channel

  16. ModzLink says:

I’ve created a short video of it here. I used my Gateway 3DS since I didn’t want to wait for Amazon sellers to ship it out.

  17. mlc says:

So is there any benefit to buying this game over a Gateway, since the game is no longer cheap and (hopefully) Gateway isn’t currently bricking people? The same hacks are presumably available via Gateway and a rom of this game, right?

  18. widjaya says:

So it runs only homebrews ?, you can playing minecraft or SNES emulator on 3DS, and no 3DS games. Thats it ?
I hope sooner smealum release piracy tools or can make memory on 3DS become cartridge or something. But anyway i love playing minecraft too.

    • N says:

Why is it always piracy with you people? Get a job and actually buy your games.

    • Anon says:

smea won’t do this because N will sue his sorry @ss into oblivion.
Unless FW 5.x+ kernel exploit is released, the most one can hope for is running 3DS backups on FW 4.x without the need for CFW (which will be awesome because it will kill off Gateway & Co. for good).

  19. NisaPirate says:

Will this allow us to pirate more games now? Should we get this or gateway? Which one is best for stealing games, no one cares for homebrews, only pirateing games.

  20. BlumCoLe says:

    Works perfect! 🙂

    <- 4.4.0-10E

    • BlumCoLe says:

Forget an interesting fact: When it is installed to savegame once, you’ll never need the QR-Code for the next HBC start. =)

  21. BlumColelovestostealh says:

This is great, I love to download and pirate games!!

    • N says:

either you’re trolling, or are brainless.

      • BlumCoLe says:

        BOTH! Because I am BlumCoLe… -.-

Which “intelligent” moderator deletes my normal comment, but allows this ***? oO

        • wololo says:

Your comments are not deleted, they are pending moderation. And I am not always in front of my computer to review them, so sometimes it takes a while 🙂

          • BlumCoLe says:

Yeah, sorry. “delete” is the wrong word…

It’s just a little bit buggy for me …the main comment wasn’t here, only my reply. Therefore i thought it was deleted. What else. 😛

            Thank you

  22. C1uM5y says:

Hi, does anyone have any trouble finding the right QR code for 4.4.0-4E? Hopefully this falls within the 4.0.0-7 and 9.2.0-20? Think the website only let’s me choose 7E as a minimum and trying that range up to 11 gives me the 70% crash.

P.s. if anyone is having issues with sellers backing out of a purchase (i.e. out of stock) and purchased on eBay then id recommend contacting eBay support…they helped me with some goodwill 🙂

  23. wekwek says:

Useless, who wants to play homebrew when you got tons of good 3DS games

  24. gunblade says:

So I jus had an r4 and acekard before so like what r good hombrews for the 3ds. Windows 2000.

  25. gunblade says:

Thks dude. now I jus got to get a copy of the game lol.

  26. BlumColelovestopirate says:

Hmmm so this is only good for homebrew which we don’t care about. We need something to make us download isos and steal vita games. I love it!!

  27. oxMUDxo says:

Where can I find more homebrews for my 3DS?
I heard theres no emulators and might not even possible. ?!
    Tell me thats a lie!!!!

  28. mr. nobody says:

This is a really cool hack. Kind of curious about what’s going on here exactly. I mean, does this particular game allow unsigned code in the form of qr? Are there instructions written in the image? It doesn’t seem like an overrun, if that were even possible.

  29. CecilVancou says:

    I don’t care about this, now i’m making around 1500£ a month.
There is tricky method i found on the web. If you want to learn it too, just type in google: Irahsik’s betting system
