Wagic is now compatible with the OUYA! Here’s how to install it
A few days ago, developer ezraanderson posted an OUYA compatible version of Wagic 0.19 on the ouyaforum site. I finally had the time to give this port a try today, and I can confirm it works well!
Wagic has been compatible with Android for a while, unfortunately it had a few issues on OUYA that prevented it from running properly. The main issue was that the OUYA controls weren’t recognized. Ezra Anderson fixed that and a few other things, in particular providing a patch that replaces the PSP icons with OUYA icons.
There are a few bugs, but those are mostly not due to the OUYA port. They are bugs I have experienced on the Android version as well. Sound effects do not always play, and, maybe more annoying, the game controls stop working once in a while. In particular, I have found that every time a “tutorial” screen comes on the battlefield, it is fairly frequent that you’ll have to cancel the game and start a battle again. Those “hint” screens appear a lot the first few times you play, but eventually they go away, so please give the game a chance. (Below’s a fanmade video of Wagic running on Windows)
If you’re an OUYA owner, this is a great opportunity to give a try to what I still proudly consider to be one of the best PSP homebrews ever made. If you’re a trading card game fan, I believe this game is a must have.

is there dlc for it?
It’s an open source, community driven game. There are “mods” that you can download from the forum, but nothing that I would call a “DLC”. Nothing that costs money, that’s for sure.

Nice. The OUYA (have no idea how to pronounce it lol) seems like a pretty neat lil device for the cost. My wife bought me an Nvidia Shield Portable for Christmas (I gotta wait ’til then to mess around with it lol). If there’s not already an Android version of Wagic, hopefully eventually. 🙂
Wagic is already compatible with Android (touch screen). The problem in general is dedicated controllers. You should have no issue on an Nvidia Shield. Download links here: wololo.net/download

Try the default android version. If it doesn’t work, try the OUYA one.
