Best PS Vita / PSP homebrew for November 2014 (and a PS4 release makes it to this month’s list!)
Every month we publish a list of the best Vita and PSP homebrews as voted by our community over the previous month. You can add your own homebrews to our /downloads Database, and vote for your favorite ones. This doesn’t require any login.
Check out this month’s most popular homebrews and releases, as rated by our community below. This month’s exciting, as we are starting to see some Native Vita action. And I’m not the only one to like this it seems, with 2 of the recently releases Native tools in the top 10 this month.
Bballing1’s tool has been at the center of the PS Vita scene over the past few weeks, and unsurprisingly makes it to the list this month.

8. Minecraft PSP – [LC Mod]
Joel16’s mods based on Drakon’s game (Lamecraft, PSP’s popular Minecraft homebrew clone) are to enhance lamecraft’s graphics and gameplay, and give it a more ‘minecrafty’ feeling. Lamecraft, and its mods, are one of the PSP/Vita’s most acclaimed homebrews.

6. 6.60 ME
As LuaDEV, OneLua is based on OSLib, so there are many similar functions (with slightly different syntax).
OneLua was our “new homebrew of the month” not so long ago
3. PSPokemon Grey
Gameboy Advance Emulator
Another piece of the “native” vita hack renzy of this month, Davee’s release to build functional software on top of the Vita Webkit exploit.
webkit exploit kit for < 2.00 and roptool
Currently, HTMLIt supports firmwares 1.50, 1.69 and 1.80/1.81. Its relatively simple to extend functionality to other firmwares. HTMLIt’s main functionality is adding a ROPTool payload to to an exploitable webpage. The command line for doing this is:
htmlit -f [1.691/1.50/1.80] -o [output html] source_file
Happy coding! Requires C++11 and Qt 5.2+
New Release of the Month: PS4 Webkit exploit
The webkit vulnerability got tons of attention this month, in particular when a matching exploit was released for PS4 1.76. Although Sony patched the exploit in firmware 2.00, Nas and Proxima’s work potentially opened the doors to future homebrew on the PS4.
Source and proof of concept files for the PS4 exploit can be downloaded here.
