October 2014 contest winners announced + SMOKE’s goodbye
It’s SMOKE here and this is the last time I will be talking about /Talk’s Contests. I will get to the reason later because first comes the winners of /Talk’s Tutorial Contests of 10/2014
First off, I’m sad to say that a few tutorials were disqualified because of the recent cleanup of the forums. In the 3DS section, jovita85’s tutorial on How to install and use an MT-card was the default winner. In the PS4 section, jeremylars was the default winner with his tutorial on Using remote play on any Android smartphone or tablet.
For the PSVita section, we had a new participant in the contests which is sindromedo with his How to become an official PSVita PSM developer. Lastly for PSP, the contest regular fuutballer won with his tutorial on Watching any video file on PSP.
Now, I’m sure why you’re wondering what “SMOKE’s goodbye” could mean. Well, I have resigned from being a Forum moderator and resigned from running the contests. This last month’s contests were my last. I have lately run into too many personal issues and I cannot be around as much as I used to. I really loved moderating and being a part of /Talk’s community though and I am not leaving the scene, but I will be behind the scenes working on things from time to time and I will poke into /Talk every now and then. With that said, I’m SMOKE signing off..

Very disappointing that jeremylars got a gift card seeing as how his tutorial didn’t even work. Doesn’t deserve it, you should keep it for yourself or give it to a runner up of another section if there was one.

SMOKE, even though I don’t know you all too well here on wololo.net, you have been an awesome mod, great contributor, helpful, and a big part of the PS hacking scene here man.. sad to see you leave, buddy, but we understand.. you’re taking off for personal reasons to tend to. Take care of yourself now and be strong during hard times.. we all been through it.. so keep at it, endure, stay healthy, think positive, and move on outward from the rough, the bad, negative stuff. Live n’ learn from mistakes and etc, push forward… Cya around man.

We have mods come and leave all the time. It’s sad to see SMOKE go, but he is not the first, he won’t be the last mod who has new stuff coming up in his life.

Smoke, thank you for your invaluable lists you have maintained and gathered for /talk members. You truly must know the impact of having concise and easy to read lists with direct links to the hombrew/games. Your heavy presence will be missed but glad you aren’t walking away completely!
