PS Vita Firmware 3.35 to be released on October 28th?
We told you a few days ago, that the PS Vita firmware 3.35 will be released with the PS4 firmware 2.00.
This ‘bundled firmware release‘ was ‘to be released soon‘. Sony has now officially confirmed that the PS4 firmware 2.00 will be released on October,28th, which should mean that the PS Vita firmware 3.35 will be released at the same day, if not earlier.
Hacks for PS4 firmware 2.00 & PS Vita firmware 3.35?
While the PS Vita firmware 3.30 closed the WebKit exploit, the PS4 firmware 1.76 is still vulnerable and not updating to firmware 2.00 might be a good idea, if you want to use ‘potentional future hacks’ for the PS4.
Updating the PS Vita to firmware 3.35 seems to be a bad idea too, since TN-V, ARK-2, the PSOne Loader and the Package Installer trick will not work on it.
While firmware 3.30 already fixed the kernel exploits, that are necessary for TN-V, ARK-2 & the PSOne Loader, it also fixed the Package Installer trick.
The only things that were not fixed (yet), are the usermode exploit games (except for Z.H.P. – It got fixed), which can still be used to exploit the PS Vita running firmware 3.30 (results depend on the games themselves), if you can circumvent the new security features of firmware 3.30.
There is also a Half Byte Loader for firmware 3.30, which looks promising. It is not yet known when or if this one will be released, but it can be expected that it will be kept for firmware 3.35, if a release is intended.
Stay tuned for more information about the new firmwares for the Playstation 4 and PS Vita. We expect the new firmwares to hit at Tuesday night / early Wednesday morning, depending on your timezone.

@TheZ so users with 3.30 should wait too, ok. i hope this “secret” vhbl port is in no way tied to game exploit you would need to buy/download (as you can’t do past 28th day). if yes it could be waste to hope for it to work in 3.35 yet killing 3.30 possibility together.
Oh well if in 3.30 they already patched native exploit
then i might as well just update to 3.35 so i can play freedom war online
there’s NO native exploit discovered yet.
ofc he meant ‘native ePSP’ exploit
I am pretty sure he means webkit exploit. 3.30 don’t patched ePSP “native” exploit, so…
Yep i mean weblit exploit
I had to update to 3.30. I had no choice. For whatever damn reason my Vita would not connect via CMA.
Even following some tuts, turning off WiFi on my Vita and PC. Still nothing. I also turned off WiFi on both devices prior to install CMA and still nothing. Despite patching it! I also used the alternative content manager (apologies, i forgot the name)
Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a solution?
You didn’t download OpenCMA?
I did and it doesn’t work.
well.. there is no solution for you now, you already updated…
Had that problem too. Not sure what broke it because it worked fine before but it just stopped connecting at some point. I thought it was opencma too but all I ended up having to do was uninstall the vita drivers on my computer from the device manager after that I reinstalled opencma and it worked just fine. I was so close to updating too. .-.
I had this problem also but over wifi transfer still works with a proxy and it can be annoying to resolve but you should of dug around more instead of updating at a time that seems promising to exploit for custom advantages…. I have TNV and not bothered about PS4 because I can on PC and will update, but portables seem more convenient to exploit and it doesn’t even have much as the first PSP and why only just got to hack as they’re always lower firmware in retail.
@Miguel Did you try to use openCMA? If not try to install it because it will block the CMA Internet connection so that you can use CMA on older Firmwares

I hope this thing the Z is waiting on is a vhbl without the need to buy a game. *sighs* please let it be that. though he said no promises
i bought the king of pool so i can play my emulators on PS Vita no i cannot play my emulators on my vita because they changed my full game king of pool into demo i don’t know how day dun dat i am not updating my PS Vita so they hasve wasted their time good news about this person in australia is hacking the ps4 he wants to be the first pearson to fully hack the ps4 that all i can say for now
Can’t wait for some native Vita hacking, and the possibilities for stuff that we can get once the Vita stops updating is practically infinite!
(sorry, this is a re-post, my direct reply says ‘awaiting moderation’, which is weird.)
Yeah, try qcma (unless you’ve already updated, then you’re ***). It’s basically CMA with more options, like the ability not to have to be online to transfer content. PLUS, it doesn’t track what you’re copying from or to the Vita, so your privacy is kept safe and Sony isn’t spying on you 😉
It’s also a lot easier to use than Open CMA, which is basically a sort of hack (excuse me for using the incorrect words if I did) for regular Content Manager Assistant. Do note that the Save Data folders for CMA and QCMA are different, which had me stumped for a while when trying to copy over my exploit gamesaves. Hope I helped!
So theres no hope for ecfw then for 3.30 users? if thats the case unless you just want only homebrew to play then if your on 3.30 i see no reason to update unless theres still hope of ecfw on 3.30
sorry typo there i meant i see no reason not to update unless theres hope to have ecfw on 3.30
Hi,
I just bought a new ps vita with firmware 2.12.
I am getting confused about that.
right now I cant sign in to my psn account and download the exploit, neither I dont have ps3 to do that.
It seems to be some hack stuff coming to 3.30 but if I dont update I have to download 3.35 so it can be worst.
Can I upgrade to v3.30 and then sign in into my account and if the new version release and an exploit reveal for v3.30, can I download the game from psn or again I have to update ?
what is best for me right now ?
Thanks.
what ever you do, DO NOT update past 3.18 until they find another native usermode exploit, i am no ps vita wizard (Not yet atleast) so i cant tell you a work around for your problem, consult someone on the forums? or try posting (In the correct forum category) for some help, Believe me it’ll be worth not updating.
Masoud,
dont update yet …
the best right now is to try the psvitawebkit exploit urself now
with a webserver of ur choice … the psvitawebkit php code
and netcat … maybe cowsay …
have phun coding it up 🙂
its out.
Really ?
can I run some hack stuffs without ps3 ?
How can I do that ?
Can u explain a little more ?
What can I do right now with my vita ?
thanks

Helped my when I first bought my vita. Manualled updated to a higher firmware but not the newest one.
I’m pretty sure the chart of psn games is outdated but the guild is still useful.
Thanks for the help But…
I dont have PS3, I am looking to borrow it from someone,or maybe there will be a trick for this problem.
Well, I’m not going to update this time. I have faith that the Vita scene’s not like the PS3 scene, which finds an exploit in one firmware and then stops looking even after multiple firmware updates and new model releases. I’m sure there’ll be a webkit exploit for 3.30.
I have 3.15 but don’t have any “hacked” game like Space Invaders Extreme. So its realy bad that ill need to update Vita in order to download the game. Its better to stay with 3.15 or go for 3.35 firmware? Or maybe there is some other way to get the game on my PS Vita?
