PS Vita firmware 3.30 available, no official announce yet
Sony announced a few hours ago that Vita Firmware 3.30, which will support themes on the Vita, would be made available sometime today.
We are now getting reports that the Firmware is already available. The Playstation blog hasn’t announced this yet. This is not unusual, as they tend to make the announce after the Firmware update has been rolled out on a majority of devices. Nevertheless, the Playstation site still marks 3.18 as the latest official firmware.
CMA (Content Manager Assistant), the Sony tool to copy files and backups to and from your vita, is also getting an update, most likely to enforce firmware updates on the device.
We are still waiting for confirmation of what changes this firmware really brings, but it is very likely that it will patch the 50 exploited games that got leaked last month, and allowed gamers to run a Custom Firmware on their Vita within the PSP emulator.

Yep, Patapon 1 JP is patched. Checked on my VitaTV, so not to update my Vita.

3.30 OFW using US Patapon 1 exploit has been patched. Freezes the load screen of the game save when triggered….. 🙁

Didn’t they stop using WebKit in 3.30? If so, the pkg installer should no longer work.

Patapon 2 was patched… I didn’t upgrade though thank god!! Anyone who has… stay tuned to Wololo.net to stay on top of if any of the exploits get re-worked. More than likely if anything is accomplished, it will more than likely only support vHBL. If you are using TN-V, and have not updated, unless you feel it is absolutely necessary I wouldn’t do it.
BTW has anyone other than me noticed a lack of Vita merchandise available at local retail stores? I’ve seen lots of Advertisements for Playstation TV, but almost all vita accessories and games are no longer available! The only retail store I’ve still found vita items is best buy.

just got a used Vita(3.18) a while ago. i am really planning on using some exploits. Unfortunately i cant connect to ps store anymore, it ask me to update system firmware wheneve i sign-in.
i have not yet updated my firmware, but i cant install exploit-ready games(talkman tokyo) via ps store.
any posible way of installing the exploit-ready games?

Just got the Vita yesterday.
Dude, I legit picked my vita up 2 hours before this firmware came out and easily downloaded talkman tokyo in about 2 minutes. My *** is now rockin out on 3.18

Don’t worry just stay on 3.18 and don’t update as for the exploit games some of them already been patch.but at least you are at a lower firmware ! Just wait it out im sure there are more exploits games out in the wild

Not for Content Manager. OpenCMA is the answer.
Last night I logged into the PSN store network from my ipad and I was able to reinstall some games that I had already bought but accidently deleted as well as a demo and a free game for the vita. My vita is on 3.18. Try it for an exploit title might be lucky!
For everyone asking “has *insert exploit game title here* been patched?” the answer is yes it has.
You are incorrect.
Not everything is patched, but the kernel mode is, thats why people report that their game does not work.
They have no idea that the game might still work, but only the kernel mode is fixed.

Since 2006? I’m even older then… Year before when released off the bat with exploits of PSP 1.5 but as always its limited until picked up like a similar way of loading through game saves with Vita of GTA LCS or downgrades different ways and I only bought a new Vita recently checking latest hacks as I know would benefit more lol or picked up wth games too but I’m not bothered about my PS4 as it basically dumps whole games/suspends anyway from memory or capturing feature so I’m good or still pay for games but its ideal for a handheld with multiple purposes.
I’ve used Go! Sudoku 🙂 and really good timing as I got it yesterday and now the update 3.30 but probably wouldnt of and still checked. I bought some games or could over PS3 but having PSP as an extra is a bonus and homebrew.

Some tips on the firmware while you only wants to play PSP game on psv.
If you have updated firmware, there isn’t any usuage of what I say below.
If you don’t update and you have bought the exploits game, please wait a minutes to see how I do.
1)Download open cma and patch for cma.
2)disconnect all the internet connection for your PC and vita.
3)Backup all of your game and data with cma from vita to PC.
4)no matter what psv or PC told that you have to upgrade, just don’t upgrade and online.
5)If you want to send the ISO to psv, I recommend ftp unless you should connected vital to Wi-Fi router and PC to wan without LAN .Cma is totally useless if you have big game file.
6)After sending the game，use cma to backup one more time for all the data. <- Important, you will found it how usefully by yourself.

No, it works over PS3 as I deleted Go! Sudoku by mistake thinking game save and downloaded to PS3 and copied over and works again.
It might but I haven’t tried transfer over proxy and I guess it should if content manage works or the store? (You can’t download games though and just hangs saying preparing)
Somehow there isn’t big changes on the firmware. So I recommended stay at 3.18 for next update
Seems like evrytime Sony does a patch they put out some junk freeware like Singing Monsters or Destiny of spirits. Wonder what itll be this time.

Guys.. i just bought new memory card 16gb.. can i backup all my exploits games in my old 8gb on pc using cma offline? then off the vita en change to 16gb memory card and restore it back ?? or the vita will force u to sign in first to use new memory card??

Me too! I was sure I was doing everything right up until this point then BOOM! woke up to this 🙁 anyone know of a workaround for those still on 3.18? Am I REALLY sc*** because my console auto updated CMA while I slept? if so sony can have this piece of trash back…

I actually haven’t heard of this (but I follow the scene off and on so you’ll have to forgive me) I solved my own problem from above just now by (Turning off the Vita’s Wifi, restarting the device, uninstalling my Open CMA 3.10 (something close to the version) from my PC and reconnecting the vita to my PC and reinstalling CMA, then of course copied the Open CMA files over. About this Qcma.. What makes it different?

No, its usually best to wait and there is a few methods to use content manager and people who updated are either new to custom hacks, or stupid enough not to wait or check… I’ve only just got my Vita as never bothered before since first PSP because it lacked much but now that time has passed or exploits, then yeah. Likely wont bother “if” PS4 was exploited because of the PSN battle as others had but it has capturing/whole game installs from disc (similar to dumping ISO I guess for performance) so I’m good.
