That oldskool xbox360 UI makes me want to cry at what they made it into over the years…. ;<

Seriously, MS had a cool unique dash that honestly just needed slight updating for all the new features that were added over time.

I understand they wanted to keep it feeling fresh but how did they go from awesome blades dash to uninspired Metro squares? I miss the days of consoles having unique UI’s, a consolosed UI was one of it’s selling points to me 🙁

The PS4’s UI might suck but at least SCE tried, More then I can say about MS and the XBO.

xbox one UI is really good imo. why u hate it ?

He just mentioned about the uninspired Metro squares, you’ve seen the XB1’s UI right? Atrocious.

        • fate6 says:

I don’t hate it, In fact I like it better than the PS4’s UI for the simple fact you can actually keep things organized on the XBO.

          I only wish it had it’s own unique UI. Consoles just don’t have that nice feel to them anymore ;_;

Metro is horrible, bad design choice and poor graphics, it’s like going back to the first iPhone that couldn’t even change the background.

so arer there any real xbox360 commercial console mods ?

    • fate6 says:

Yea there is JTAG and RGH which will let you run whatever you want, There is also flashing the DVD drive’s firmware to allow burned disks but that is just piracy cause no unsigned code with that method.

And of course the always popular ODDE’s.

I don’t understand the point of this if you can put freestyle dash on there than why not just use dash launch idk I don’t get it maybe because I jtagd my 360 and never use the pos it’s got two games on it lol

  6. lollypop says:

fate6 any softmods like with xbox the first sir ?
could u help me port openremoteplay server to opensource xbox homebrew ?
mainly for running the commercials on my xbox the first hdd on psvita tho

There is no DashLaunch for XDK’s, heck it would brick the thing if you tried installing it.
The point tho is that Info on the Xbox 360 dev kits is really hard to find and even harder to find info from 2011+

Most of the info I know is from talking with other XDK owners.

  8. XboxSurgeon says:

Nicely done fate6. Glad to see you working diligently on the XDK.

    • fate6 says:

Hey Surgeon! Kinda just messing around with the XDK like I always do and figured I would share this one since it was one of the things I couldn’t find info on(among other things >__<)

  9. CPUzX says:

Why do things the advanced way, when you could just go into the filesystem and edit the system.io FSD boot sequence to “true”.

  10. pi2u says:

Maybe you should have a look at RGLoader…
