How to: Using the PS1 exploit
So now that the once secret PS1 exploit and loader are public I am sure there are some wondering how exactly to make use of them.
First you will need to buy and download to your Vita either Tekken 2 or XS Moto(Sports Superbike 2 in EU)
Next download this pack of loaders for all three games

Now transfer the save file for your game of choice to your Vita like you would any PSP save.
OK! Cool so time to start the game and trigger the exploit! Now I only have XS Moto so I will only be able to show you guys a video of that one, As for the rest well
Tekken 2: Start up Survival mode and lose the match
Sports Superbike 2: Load the save game via the options then start a 2 player race
XS Moto: Again load the save from the options section then load either a single or 2 player race
Sweet so now we are in the loader! But what now? How do you get games onto it?
Well afaik it only looks in PSP/GAME/ for any PS1 eboots, So what we will need to do is somehow get our games into said folder.
Now the way I was doing it was installing the games with TN-V then just running them from the PS1 loader so I could get 100% compatibility. I do not know if there is any other way unfortunately.

But now, for EUR store, what game between Tekken 2 and the other still works?

tekken2 US on 3.18 just black screens then gives error when loosing a survival match
xsmoto works on 3.18 US
PSX Loader support max 16 titles so if you have more than 16 PSX games in your memory card – list will be not full.

I’ll answer Lucas’ post in portuguese:
Primeiro, Lucas, é melhor você ter algum outro exploit completo. Porque você precisa ter acesso a algum modo de copiar arquivos de jogos para as pastas do sistema de PSP para que o exploit funcione. Ou seja:
0 – Habilite, nas opções do Explorer, que ele mostre todas as extensões de arquivos – até as conhecidas;
1 – Compre o Patapon 1 antes que ele suma da loja;
2 – Baixe os arquivos do leak (https://mega.co.nz/#!8oAywZqS!kbYGbEZw_I63-stgg0oiExS4MtFBN9Bh5XdqRLOhKhQ);
3 – Baixe o QCMA (desinstale o CMA da Sony ou o OpenCMA e só deixe esse; abra o CMA no PS Vita para que eles se entendam e veja em qual pasta estão os Saves de PSP);
3 – No arquivo dos leaks, procure a pasta DISTRIB, e nela o Savefile que precisa (se for o de Patapon, é ele), e extraia ele na pasta de saves (há uma pasta de número estranho que é único para cada PS Vita. É dentro dela que você extrai os saves);
4 – Baixe o OFW 6.60 no http://zload.net/v2/archives/file/?id=1660 ; Extraia o EBOOT.PBP e renomeie-o para 660.PBP (note: tem que ser tudo em maiúsculas);
5 – Baixe o Universal TN-V10 Loader aqui: http://www.datafilehost.com/d/99171189 ; Extraia na pasta com o Save – ele vai sobreescrever alguns arquivos. Se não sobreescrever, você foi na pasta errada ^^;
6 – Mande o QCMA atualizar a database; Abra o CMA no PS Vita e copie o save do PC para o Vita;
7 – Abra o Patapon e mande carregar o jogo; Vai abrir a tela do Recovery;
8 – Vá na guia “Advanced” – > Install 6.60 Files; Volte e dê Exit;
Agora sim dá para copiar jogos de PS1. Enfie eles da seguinte forma:
1 – Crie uma pasta chamada PSP. Dentro dela, crie uma chamada GAME. Crie a pasta do jogo e coloque o EBOOT.PBP dentro dela. Você agora tem uma estrutura de pastas PSP/GAME/Jogo/EBOOT.PBP. Compacte a pasta PSP usando WinRAR ou o que preferir , dando o nome INSTALL.ZIP (Tudo em maiúsculas);
2 – Coloque na pasta do Save. (Pode apagar o 660.PBP agora, já que já está instalado no Vita). Manda o QCMA atualizar o banco. Copie o save usando o CMA do PS Vita;
3 – Abra o jogo e use o exploit; Saia do Recovery;
4 – O jogo vai aparecer na sua lista de Games. Aperte TRIÂNGULO nele, e escolha a opção “Instalar”;
5 – Retire ele do Save e copie de novo para o PS Vita (para economizar espaço).
AGORA sim, é só usar o exploit do PS1 que os jogos vão aparecer na lista. (Até o limite de 16 jogos, se não me engano).

So I got XS Moto and tried to run Digimon World 3, but the game often freezes when i enter/exit buildings. Is there any solution for this? I already tried changing the ID to SLPS01724 with PopstationGUI3, but the game didn’t even launch that time.

I noticed that The_Zett’s Vita Exploit Chart only says US,?? on this game, so I thought everyone would be happy to hear that it indeed works in the EU!
Does this work with multiple disc games as well? I currently have Chrono Cross disc 1 and Star Ocean disc one installed. I am unable to install disc 2 for either game. I add it to the zip file and it doesnt show up.

I have done plenty of reading and research. I’ve been doing this stuff since the early days of m33 and dark alex. I know what I’m doing. I followed all the GIVEN instructions. All my eboots show up on tn-x, but every one of them simply freezes. I’m not a fool who watches only the videos provided in these articles, and then complains about problems that are explained blatantly in the text.

I downloaded sports superbike 2 eu on firmware 3.18 and transfer save to vita. When I load it and set 2 players game, vita hangs and I get c1-2858-3 error. Any help?
ok i got tekken 2 and xs moto both working perfect on 3.18 so whats up with the firmware versions for each game
tekken 2 on firmware 1.8 confirmed to be not working. The PS1 loader screen comes up, but it freezes after selecting an eboot which i had installed with TN-V. Please give some sort of response. This kind of stuff happens all the time, and while i respect your work, it would just be nice to get a little help.
I think people were saying Tekken 2 dont work for US region. I think it worked for Europe, I do know that XS Moto works perfect for US with 3.18. This don’t help your Tekken 2 problem, but download XS Moto. I can confirm that works or US/North America area.
hi there. i managed to install everything and it works like a charm. i have a question, though.
does the ps1 exploit allow us to play ANY ps1 game (i legaly have a digital copy of them) or just the ones availible in the PS-Store ?
i just dont get MTV Music generator to work. Not with TN-V nor with tekken 2 now. on my 3 psp devices the copy works without problems. like i said, i won the original ps1 disc and i have a 100% clean copy without any compression or stuff.
are there any options i could play with or is it just like it is and the exploits are not 100% compatible ?

Yes, any PS1 game should be able to successfully function properly with this exploit.
Ive got the Tekken 2 exploit on my US account, but when I lose the survival match the screen just goes black and hangs =/!

EDIT: Nevermind, looks like I had the wrong region files. Got some new ones from Zload and it works fine!

Hi! so i decided to try the TN-V 10 on my PS Vita last night because my PSP just died last week 🙁 , and i use Patapon 2, i was wondering if can i play the PS1 PSN version that i downloaded from other website,direct from TN-V 10? or do i need to run in on PS1 Loader? i also have Tekken 2 but just wondering if i can play it direct from TN-V 10? and how i can install PSN PS1 games? I’m finding that many of my PS1 games do not appear in the loader. 16/25 of them do. Might I be able to move them with PSP filer, or is there a better option for them?

Need help with talkman and patapon 2 us. Talkman was working fine , I was loading SNES games and all. After while I got the black screen. Many attempts to get tn-v10 to work again but nothing same with patapon 2 ……black screen from jump. Please help anyone!
Copied Tekken file to Documents>PS Vita> SAVEDATA. Launched Content Manager on Vita, selected PC —->Vita, Selected Applications, moved down to Saved Data, cliicked on PSP/Other and I get a “There is no save data” message. I click on Playstation and see “There is no save data” message. Multipole Google searches for “Cannot copy saves to PS Vita”, “There is no save data” “Why can’t I coipy saves from my PC to Vita” etc, etc and getting 0 helpful results. I’m not looking to copy a PS3 save, I just want to copy the Tekken save to my Vita (or at least that Tokyo Travel game save).
