Vita dedication
We complain loudly about the lack of love from Sony to the PS Vita here, and we might have said more than once that it doesn’t have enough games.
And that is a general trend I think, we’re far from the only ones complaining, especially since Sony has shown not much attention to the Vita lately (except maybe in Japan), besides advertising it as a PS4 second screen.
Our /talk member Mystic_Shadow kind of proved me wrong and wanted to share his love and dedication for the PS Vita with the following picture. What you see below is Mystic_Shadow’s collection of approximately 70 ps vita cartridges.
And, yup, that’s several thousand dollars worth of games here, Sony will surely appreciate that.
Many thanks to Mystic_Shadow for this inspiring picture. If I can make one suggestion though: if you’re one of the people who own so many Vita games (or playstation games in general) at this point a PS+ subscription would probably be beneficial 🙂
How many games do you guys own on your PS Vita? Are you more digital, or physical, these days?

I’m more digital now ever since after the psp & UMD’s cuz of the whole it will eventually go digital if not digital at release. The only games i’ll own every a phy cart of for the vita are ones i truly love and nothing else. Since im also a PS+ member, if i wait long enough the game i want to play will become a free download, even if the hype gone! ^^
Aksys, Atlus, & NISA games I like rarely end up on PS+ so, I don’t feel bad about owning physical but, some of my friends wait it out. The memory prices are too outrageous for to go crazy with the digital. I just download and delete.
yup, same here, I just download, make back up & delete whenevere i need more space
I have about 35 physically and several digital. I usually buy physical on day 1. I have bought a few games digitally because of convenience.
We’ll before $ony banned my first PSN account it had over 600 games. My new PSN account now has about the same. I’ve got well over 200 PS3 games discs. As for Vita I’m only about 30 games and the XMB has 6 pages of games and apps. That’s on 1 of my Vitas, the other has a few more games on it that this one doesn’t.
Gamer, real life is just a hobby. 🙂
Share your Moneytree with me mate, cause normal People only earn like 1,5K $ per month which they cant just spend on games….
I have 34 physical Vita games, with one on the way in the mail and 15 on my wish list. I always go for physical where possible.
I got my Vita in July. Here are my games, in order of purchase. I have another 14 on my “I need these” list.
1. Mortal Kombat Vita, 2. Sly Cooper Collection, 3. Uncharted: Golden Abyss, 4. Hot Shots Golf, 5. Wipeout 2048, 6. Jack & Daxter Collection, 7. Soul Sacrifice, 8. Little Big Planet, 9. Gravity Rush, 10. Modnation Racers Roadtrip, 11. Sly Cooper – Thieves in Time, 12. God of War Collection, 13. BlazBlu Continuum Shift Extend, 14. Sorcery Saga: The Curse of the Great Curry God, 15. Borderlands 2
I have 5 physical games and kop
so does your mom
Mosisisi, please tell your mom I left my underwear in her bed last night, and to please send them to me in the mail… They were the nice and soft kind of silk…
You two are *** *** and immature. Hutch just commented on how much games he has. I swear the Wololo.net board is filled with *** kids who are just hungry for the exploits and insult each other.
Like your mom?
I only have two physical copies; Persona 4 and Gravity Rush.
Nothing else really appeals to me so I’m just waiting on that VHBL release to get more use out of it
I only have two carts at this point… I had about 50 at one point, but Im all digital right now. A 32gb card and a 16 allowes me to atlast keep what I want to play for now at hand…. but it does get aggivating haing to redl stuff. Ps4, physical untill I can get a larger hd. I only lke digital because I sell my copies to quick. Atleast this way, I can always have access untill nuclear winter or sony gets to ps6 or the PSV TAB
These are only my physical copies and for my vita not 3ds ps3 ps2 ps1 psp XD gaming can be expensive.
I owned 2 physical games that I resold on ebay without finishing ’em as I got bored with both. I would not have bought them for any other system but with the Vita’s library being what it is… Anyway I sold Ninja Gaiden for a higher price than purchased (used), strangely enough. This is why I would recommend buying physical copies.
I’m pretty sure
games released / time since 3ds release
Vs
games released / time since vita release
^Would tell a story^
You don’t even have to compare gamereleases by time. Despite Vitas later release by one year, or so, the amount of total Vita releases is much greater than the amount of 3DS releases.
(Number from April/August 2014), Vita has 744 games, while 3DS has 504 games. That means, the Vita has about 30% more games and the gap is increasing each month.
And it’s quite simple why: Despite 3DS outnumber Vitas by five times, most 3DS buyers are children and mothers, who only buy about five first party games in years, while a Vita owner is a committed gamer who buy lots of indi-games and Japanese games. That’s why the Vita does not only have a heck lot of games, it also gets the most and fastest localisations. It goes completely against the general trend, but Vita is really successful in terms of third party games and licences. Nintendo on the other hand just sells expensive plastic.
I love physical games. I mostly have 40 physical besides my digital ones. i love vita even other people think its not good enough. I even bought another psvita for online. 🙂 yay happy collector!
I prefer physical copies where possible, and save my memory card space for the D/L only titles.
*sniffle* while most games in there probably aren’t the best, *** the image is beautiful.
ONE cartridge, which was a gift. And about 12 digital, maybe more idk. Don’t really play my vita much. Bought it hoping I could really get some use out of it. Lo and behold! Battery sucks, too many indie games, lack of support, useless updates. Seriously, *** Sony! Definitely the biggest technological c0(% tease ever
I have 1 psvita game killzone mercenary
i have 5 games
I think, ergonomically, the vita is the best gaming handheld. Especially against the 3ds. I don’t know how people can play that for extended periods of time without killing their thumb.
The loading time in some games as opposed to their multiplat counterparts hurts. But its performance has been stellar.
SMT4 on 3ds was a good game, but I’d argue the worst in the series.
The club nintendo offerings were decent, but the yearly rewards were bad –> giving out a 10 dollar snes game as a platinum reward.
Having no account to hold your purchases really hurts in the event of hardware failure. I don’t want to bash the 3ds too much here because I do like the thing and most of the arguments have been repeated to death.
I just think sony’s approach was really better for the frugal customer and it’s a shame it isn’t selling better.
Actually sold my Vita. Might think of getting one again if a good hack comes out. Also all that picture says is that some people will take and buy whatever they’re handed whether good or bad. Just saying. I didn’t buy port when I own my Vita. Had only a few games anyway, Gravity Rush, Mind 0 and yes MGSHD even if it was a port it was a good one. Keeping my hopes up for a good hack.
Wow that guy is dedicated. Problem is that 90% of those games are *** lol. Only a handful of them would I play…probably Mortal Kombat and a few others.
If Sony wants to make good money from the PS Vita they need more GOOD games!
These games NEED to be made –
1. Grand Theft Auto (even a port of GTA IV or V will do!)
2. Fight Night (and NOT that UFC *** lo!, ACTUAL boxing!!!)
3. Gran Turismo (with a good career mode with car upgrades, GT on PSP was terrible!)
4. WWE 2k15 or 16 (even a port will do fine)
5. FIFA Football (not crappy ‘Legacy’ versions that change nothing but the roster)
6. Crash Bandicoot and Spyro for the kids…and me haha!
Those games would sell Vita’s in droves!!!
Aww I liked gran turismo on the psp, but agree that a new release on vita would be good. Did not dig gran turismo six, it needs a lot more tracks and challenges not just upgrades to suits. I did buy digital ridge racer for vita, God awful game. Bought physical copy of hot shots golf, blaz blu,Ffx, need for speed. Digital copy of dynasty warriors next ffx2 because there is no physical and street fighter and mortal kombat.
Hm… All of a sudden I have this insane desire for Mistwalker’s two Xbox 360 RPGs to get put onto Vita… Blue Dragon (3 discs) and Lost Odyssey (4 discs, the fourth one coming in a freakin’ sleeve) in portable form. I doubt Microsoft would be willing to budge, and Sony wouldn’t want to “take the risk” with it though 🙁
I have a few Vita games, although my Vita’s moreso doing duty as a metal paperweight at present. Haven’t seen anything that makes me decide it’s worth it to update recently, frankly.
It’s cool, I think many people like to have a huge collection like this more as a collection (what I’ve been doing it for my 360 and ps3 lately) but I usually get the games sealed at very cheap prices online so it’s easier to do without the huge prices…but for me I prefer just to get the really great titles physical, and the good/decent titles digital.. awesome collection though, that’s a lot of vita love there. 🙂
So far, only 4 physical games for me, I’ve been stuck long enough with an old fw and a TN-xx, got fed up of ACL /GR/W2048, updated recently and went to a local store for a SoulSacrifice.
Whenever it’s possible, i tend to buy physical games in order to save some space.
I have 3 physical games only & over a 100 digital games. PS Plus & discounts are the main reason I get all those games.
it’s apparently a big enough deal for you to comment on it
just like my pinis
Ya got a wrong vowel in there slappy LOL.
I got around 70 games too…here is a Picture from my collection in the beginning of June 2014

Heh In my point of view i own ps+since 2013 till end of 2015 that was a gift ,even that i only tick them free games make my small collection of digital ones ,and never played them maybe only few best ones like mk9 ocasionally few more,But what’s more important is TN-V on my Vita 😀 since the very first came out 😀 there is much better story not only for games 😀
People saying the Vita doesn’t have any games are mostly PS3 owners, people who the Vita is pretty much advertised towards. The problem is is that if you own a PS3, then 99.9% of the Vita version will be on your PS3 with better graphics and without the framerate issues. There are only about retail 20 exclusives that also aren’t on the PS3.
I own two Vitas. One with eCFW, the other with the current firmware to play newer games. I purchase physical exclusively on Vita. If I purchase digital then it’s on PC or console first.
It would be interesting to create a thread on the subject where users could post pictures of your games and accessories for the vita, encouraging other users to buy games and accessories for the vita. What do you think?
I was buying Digital, but eventually decided that the memory storage is far too expensive.
As to the game catalog, though, it may have a large quantity, but if you only count those that are of good quality you’ll surely find that there are only a handful of decent games for the system. I’m extremely disappointed in the system, the 3DS has more “good” games than the Vita.
I’d like to give an example of what is ridiculus in the prices:
Gaming PC : ~3000 PLN, PC Game: 30-150PLN (1-5% of the device’s worth).
PSP: 200-350 PLN, PSP Games: 40-200 PLN (20-100% Devices worth)
PS Vita: 600-2000 PLN, PS Vita Games : 200 PLN+ (30%+ Devices worth).
By buying an expensive gaming device a user expects to have a big choice of cheap games. With SONY it’s the exact oposite. You buy and expensive device that is useless unless you buy expensive games.
It’s not that the Vita doesn’t have a lot of games, it’s just the vita doesn’t have a lot of GOOD games. We keep comparing it to it’s predecessor, the PSP, and like me, we all hoped that the Vita would produce the same amount of results as the PSP. If the Vita had the same number of great games, or even higher, as the PSP, we would see hackers working day and night trying to exploit it to run ISO Vita backups. But to some, it’s just not worth it. Don’t get me wrong, the Vita is a beautiful system, more powerful than the PSP and 3DS combined, it’s just that after three years since launch, there’s been little improvement. But then again this isn’t new, we all know this fact
20 physical and about 25 psn
I swap my vita for a slim ps3 jailbreak and im happy im gonna buy a vita again if sony would put out games one game i like was killzone thats it we need more

I’ve owned a vita and been on PS+ since they started PS+ for vita, so I have a huge collection of games from that, and I have owned a small handful of about 5-6 physical games in addition to those.
While there is a pretty respectable number of games available, I honestly just don’t like most of them all that much. Out of everything I have played, there hasn’t been one game that I truly felt was a “must buy” game. A lot of them are ports of things that are already on other platforms.
Honestly, PS+ has been the only reason that I think the Vita was worth buying. I almost always get bored with the games after a couple of minutes or hours, but at least it keeps a steady stream of new experiences and things to try coming in to me, which is nice. And then there’s the occasional gem that might keep me occupied for a couple of weeks.
DJ Max Technica Tune is a main reason why i got a Vita. Then there was God Eater 2 witch is amazing.
I prefer physical copies of the game. There are good deals on the second market.
And those are not sold here. It just sucks that shops in our country does not get any new games since the launch. And digital is kinda out of the option because there are no memory cards in shops. And I really hate to delete my game after I have played enough because save files are deleted with them.
I have 6 physical games, rest are digital since they have some pretty good sales pretty quickly on PSN for Vita. I found some alright sales on Vita memory last xmas I think it was, so I definitely have some ready for the Vita TV next month.
