Playstation Vita Firmware 3.30 announced, will offer Theme support!
While the Playstation Portable and Playstation 3 are able to use Themes to slightly (depending on the installed software) change the Interface since quite a while, the Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita are unable to do said thing.
But this will change soon. The Playstation 4 will get Firmware 2.00, that will enable Themes to be used to change the Interface on it.
The PS Vita will get a similar treatment: Firmware 3.30 will enable Theme support for the PS Vita!
As you can see in the video, it seems that only pre-made Playstation Store themes can be used.
It has been reported that you can create Themes on your own too, but that has yet to be confirmed.
I would compare the PS4 themes with our CTF PSP Themes, those that can alter how the entire system looks like, while the PS Vita themes seem to be similar to the official PTF Themes for the PSP, those that basically just change some Icons here and there.
We will see how good or bad the theme support for the PS Vita will be, when the firmware 3.30 gets released later this month.
