Z.H.P. – Zettai Hero Project VHBL for Firmware 3.18

Since Wololo was not available for a good week or two, we were unable to prepare a ninja release for the following exploit game, Z.H.P. – Zettai Hero Project. [Reply from Wololo: I was out for 5 days and a ninja release takes several week. The fact that there was no Ninja Release has nothing to do with me. I was not contacted about this at all. If there had been an intent to do a ninja release in the first place, I’m sure you would have contacted me a long time ago]
Another reason that this was not distributed via a ninja release is, that this was never intended to be a VHBL release, since we thought this exploit game would not be able to actually run the VHBL in the first place.
The developer of this exploit, KanadeEngel, intended that this should be a TN-V loader, for a potential kernel mode exploit release, that could happen some day in the future.
Do not get your hopes up for now. I did not say that there is a definite release of a kernel mode exploit, and I also did not say that this is soon~ish.
This exploit release was basically just for covering the firmware 3.18, so that it would be possible to run any kind of an eCFW at firmware 3.18, if a kernel exploit happens to be released.
Since it was possible to port the Half Byte Loader to the Z.H.P. exploit, it does not look like an useless exploit anymore.
The previously working VHBL exploit games, MyStylist, Jikkyo Pawafuru Puro Yakyuu 2012 and Space Invaders Extreme, are patched in firmware 3.18 and can not be used to exploit the PS Vita at said firmware.
If we now go back to the Zettai Hero Project exploit – I like that it contains Zett :3 – We want to inform you, that this exploit is currenlty experimental, so it does not work as good as previous VHBL releases, and the experience could be a bit disappointing.
Currently it is able to just run some Homebrews, but we are still trying to improve the performance.
The game Z.H.P. / Zettai Hero Project was available in the European, North American, Japanese and some other Asian PSN Stores; costs 14,99€ / 19,99$ / 2.263¥ and is ~600 MB in size.
Launching the exploit is pretty easy, just take a look at this video:
In the end it is to say, that if you appreciate the dedication and work of the developer KanadeEngel, you might want to donate a few bucks to him via Paypal.
Our good old friends qwikrazor87 and the japanese developer 173210 were also a big help, since they managed to port the actual VHBL to this exploit.

I disagree with your statement, and I have added my reply in the article itself, I hope you won’t mind:

First of all, I wasn’t available for 5 days, not “a good week or two”. secondly, Ninja releases take on average 3 weeks. If there had been any intent to do a ninja release with this, KanadeEngel or you would have contacted me in PM like everybody else does. Since I first learned about this through KanadeEngel’s twitter account, I believe there was no intent to do a ninja release in the first place. That’s perfectly fine, but please don’t include me as one of the reasons, when clearly from the beginning it wasn’t planned to involve me with this release.
Perhaps The Z could be given publishing rights, he seems trust worthy enough 🙂
That way, no one would need to wait on you publishing articles and would take some of the workload off you.

I wrote a blog post, but it could not be published for days, since wololo was not available.
You can do whatever you want, but you can’t make baseless assumptions and flat out incorrect assertions. Particularly just to make yourself look better. It doesn’t work that way.
Thanks for the exploit. You certainly don’t have to share it and it’s appreciated. Just leave out the unnecessary finger pointing and drama. Learn and move on. (that goes for both sides and armchair commentators)
Not sure why my initial answer to this was removed, I wrote it from a gamescom PC without logging into my account but okay.
I never intended to “blame” you for this weird kind of release of the ZHP exploit. I was just stating that you being away for quite the time, and the game initially being “useless” were factors that a ninja release would not be possible, since:
a) There was no interest to do this, since the game was thought to not be able to run the VHBL, and would’ve only be useful as an eCFW loader IF someone releases a kxploit.
b) Kanade had a very specific date and time for the release, and due to the above stated things, did not consider it being worth to release this as a ninja release.
c) The moment we knew it can run the VHBL, even if it runs pretty crappy, it was already too late and you were already gone for a few days.
Those are basically the main factors that I tried to describe in my news. Looks like I did not find the right words for these and you thought I would “blame” it on you not being available. This was not my intention and I would like to apologize if Ive “offended” you.

Wow for someone who does ALL this as a hobby and for free, there is a lot of whining kids who think it is wololo’s job to solely release everything and know everything and not have a real job and a life. He has a family, job, life and a spectacular blog (aka a hobby) in a limited spare time capacity. I would like to thank wololo personally, so THANK YOU Wololo for your spare time to make my life more enjoyable with my vita and psps.

Thanks for giving the name of the game away and giving most of us absolutely no chance at buying it before it got removed.
Lots of ways to stay plugged into the community…in addition to the blog page, be active in the /talk forums, follow the main players on twitter…I am VERY new to the site and found out about the exploit last Friday. People who just pop in periodically looking for a ninja release and nothing more are probably not the ideal community members, in my opinion.
The game wasn’t removed right away.
Also these guys are on Twitter, so you should have no excuse for not knowing about this game.

I think I missed it, but wanted to let you guys know that this is one of the best PSP games, just don’t use it for the exploit, try it out.

Funny how people are giving wololo ***. The Z.H.P exploit was announced via psx scene on the 9th of August, and via hack informer on the 8th of August. The game became unbuyable between the 10th and 11th for all regions. You had the chance to get it, as did everybody else. Some people rely on 1 source of information, and those people should not complain as its their fault.
Id like to add that i found out about this exploit from wololos site, somebody mentioned it in the comments of the 3.15 tn-v video. Also, theres a thread in the wololo talk forums. Please dont blame wololo, there was plenty of places to learn of the exploit (this site included).

I follow more than this site for Vita hacking, including the twitter accounts of the awesome people who bring us this stuff. Maybe only one person complained on here, but I’ve seen it on other sites.
