Manage the CPU and GPU temperature of your ps3 (by trevorhush)

Hello, in this tutorial I propose a way that will let you easily manage and monitor the temperatures of the processor and the GPU with a window that will be visible at the top right of the screen when using your ps3.
You will need :
- A PS3 in CFW and connected to the LAN.
- A PC connected to the local network.
- The PKG and the following plugin : http://www.mediafire.com/download/lec46ljzazooaqr/CcApi_2.00_package.rar
- The PC tool Temp Control 1.0 that you can find by following this link : http://www.mediafire.com/download/8hypjcxsj8lpq3j/TC101.zip
- NET Framework 4.5 installed on your PC (you can get it in the following link) : http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653
- Unzip the package ‘CcApi_2.00_package.rar’ on your pc and copy the folder ‘plugins’ to the root of your external hard drive or USB flash drive.
- Copy ‘XX0001-ENSTONEXX_00-00000000000CCAPIv2.00.pkg’ also to the root of your external hard drive or USB
- Now go to the ps3, and install the pkg ‘XX0001-ENSTONEXX_00-00000000000CCAPIv2.00.pkg’, then reboot when it is demanded.
- When your PS3 restarts, a popup will appear at the launch of the xmb telling you that the plugin has successfully been loaded.
- Now go to the PC, unzip the package ‘TC101.zip’ and run ‘Temp Control.exe’.
- Enter the IP address of the PS3 in the red zone.
- Then click ‘connect’ in Blue.
- The temperatures will be displayed in green.
- Check the box PS3 notifications and temperatures will consistently be displayed on the TV screen.
Using this will allow you to see the actual temperature of the ps3 and to be aware when the temperature goes very high so you turn it off and avoid a problem of your ps3 system.
I hope this will help you.
Little tutorial about PS3 jailbreaking would be really nice. Also information about downgrading would not hurt anyone. 🙂
Here you go. This will help get your PS3 jailbroken:

Manage the CPU and GPU temperature of your ps3: throw it in the trash and buy a pc
PC’s CPU and GPU can over heat as well. They just use top quality thermal paster and have a better cooling fan.
uh yeah, tell me if PC can actually run Tales of Xillia, NOW.
Stop shilling. This article has nothing to do with the PC. Throw yourself in the trash you annoying squawking parrot.
I would make the title say “Manage the CPU and GPU temperature of your CFW ps3.” Adding “CFW” in the title would help with the negative comments.
Sorry what “negative comments”, as in plural, as stated by you. There was only one semi-negative, actually aggressive, comment and that was gnffj’s comment and I can’t say if this would have changed when you see this comment but as of now, only that one comment. And it is quite obvious that you can only run user-developed software on a hacked PS device unless you are using the PS SDK / PS Mobile Suite, I guess. But generally, that is what this site is for, Sony-hacking related issues. So I guess what I am saying is that your comment was sort of misplaced, no hard feelings.
oXo o/ …o/ – Star Wars joke
It is kinda misleading cause the super slims can’t have cfw considering this topic has a super slim advertised in the picture talking about cfw apps.
I think super slims actually can have cfw… By using something called “the three musketeers patch” as stated here- http://wololo.net/talk/viewtopic.php?p=246652
You are wrong, some 2.5K, 3K and 4K’s(Super Slims) CANNOT be “jailbroken”/have CFW installed.
The only thing that can be done with them is the installation of an ODDE, even that has been blocked in the recent OFW.
I would have to agree with jlo138. I clicked on this because I thought it was a way monitor without the need of CFW. So it is misleading.
Did anyone get the joke? /o\
Can I make a tutorial on how to use Google and read the README.TXT that comes with downloads? I’d like to enter that in the contest since you seem to be rewarding people for doing just that
Yeaaah
You see there almost nothing to teach in this kind of tutorial
This is just
“How to install homebrew on PS3 and how to install program on computer”
But of course
There’s nothing more to teach either
Feel free to enter the contest with your tutorials if you have better ones. Everyone can join. I see lots of people saying the tutorials are not good, that it’s easy money, yet I don’t see so many people actually entering. Maybe because writing these things in a clear and concise way is not as easy as you might think.
What about a fan control mod for the 2k-3k systems? I noticed not much on the web for them, as only the fat ones do. If any interest I’ll do it. No cfw needed. I’ve done it on my 2001 and 2501
I’ve done dozens for the PS3 scene. The difference is that here people are basically just copy/pasting or rewording the readme file that comes with the downloads
No offense to you wololo, but if you’re gonna give out money for this then personally I’d prefer that the money went to the people that wrote the software and not the people that just copy/pasted the included instructions
I couldn’t find an article on it when I’ve done it. I had to use a fat tutorial and manually find the 3.3v wire.
IMO these tutorial contests are a fragging joke and just POST WHORING for ad clicks…ill prove my point
Then YOU pay for Wololo’s server, you pay the cost’s of maintenance and there will be no ad’s on the website.
hi @wololo, the latest version of ccapi by enstone is v2.50, that support cfw non-cobra up to 4.55 (not 4.60)
regards
WARNING ! ! ! WARNING ! ! ! WARNING ! ! ! WARNING ! ! ! WARNING ! ! ! !
DO NOT INSTALL THIS ON YOUR PS3 ! ! ! !
i just installed the package file, and after it asked me to reset the ps3 crashed.
i spent over 5 hours fixing it. i had to change the HDD, because it corrupted the OS
i then had to re-install the firmware
Thank you for another fantastic article. Where else may anyone get
that type of information in such an ideal means
of writing? I’ve a presentation subsequent week, and I am on the search for such info.
