Yea I know you are all confused right now and probably are wondering WTH happened to minimur12, But you need not worry has there is a very good reason for me making this weeks WTH.
Hey guys! Minimur here, this is where I say tell you why I haven’t been around, I’ve got my relatives over staying at my house and I want to spend some time with them, and have tried writing it for the past two weeks(honestly!) but end up not giving myself enough time. Well not this time! ( mainly because I’m not actually writing it) But anyway, I’ll be back soon after the 19th, that’s when my relatives leave.

Weird ASCII faces aside lets get started with a rumour!
So it seems that SCE might have found a way to get over the crazy rental prices on PSNow, How? Buy letting you buy them! Well it seems more a case of letting you freely play games you have already purchased but we do not know if this will apply for all systems or just the PS3(where it is now) or if it will have a cut off date.
Some bad news for the EU, Seems Freedom Wars is going to be digital only for my friends across the pond.

Anywhoo…. Yea since NA is getting a full retail release folks over in EU asked SCEE if they are also getting it.
I appreciate it’s not the answer some of you want to hear, but I can confirm that Freedom Wars will be a digital-only release in SCEE.
Well that sucks but look at the bright side! at least it’s getting released outside Japan at all!
Cliff Bleszinski lead designer of Gears of War and Unreal Tournament is coming back!
I assume you guys know who he is but Tl;Dr he is a cool guy that likes to make cool stuff, Well said cool guy retired after Gears 3 saying he wanted to take a break after making games for so long. But he is back and he is not alone as it seems he has teamed up with Arjan Brussee, Co Founder of Guerrilla games and one of the people behind the Killzone series, To start BossKey.
Nothing has been announced yet regarding the studio so I guess we will see what happens.

Unfortunately While BossKey is coming in, another studio is going out. Airtight Games which most recently made Murdered: Soul Suspect, Is shutting down.

Freedom Wars digital only for EU, not really a problem.
I’m going full digital for Vita, and recently bought Freedom Wars JP version digitally too (600K year more to freedom). I have big expectation for PSP3/VITA2 if it ever comes by.

well even now, a lot of the PSP and PS1 games that work on the Vita but aren’t available on the store aren’t really Sony’s fault, it’s all about licencing, for most games the issue is that the developer or the publisher can not make it available for the Vita due to licencing.
Yeah…A shame. I’m sure the future proof devices like the PS3/VITA/PS4 for next gen, but many PS1/PS2/PSP games did not have digital distribution in mind, nor did it apply for future units, so the games need new license agreements to be drawn up. It’s not up to SONY to track everyone down. Nor do they always agree. They do what they can for games they own, and games that will turn a profit for both them and the publishers.
While that true, it also an issues based on the regions. While they may hold the current licence, it doesn’t mean much if another company currently hold the licence in said region. Such example is M$ holding the current licence for Killer Instinct, when teh first game released for PS1 is now Xbone exclusives. M$ has no intention of releasing it for other consoles.
same rule apply to hand-held consoles. Such example would be Pokemon, a Nintendo exclusives. So, if we were to expect teh game to be available on the psvita, we’ll have to do a research to see who currently holding the licence to produce said game in said region.

Only other article I have in “production” is a how-to Xbox HotSwap but I have been neglecting it. There are plenty of guides on how to do it but they are rather old.
