Wololo, WTH happened to your blog???
Yup, yup, yup. I created this blog 6 years ago, never changed the installed template even once. I had set my mind on the Tarski template 6 years ago, switched its background color from black to white, back and forth a couple times, and that was it.
But times change. People kept telling me the old design was ugly, and, most importantly, it didn’t work well on tablets and phones. So here I am, with a fully responsive template for the website, and all the headaches that come with it as a webmaster.
Yes, if you are used to this site, this must be a shock to you. The links have changed places, the stuff you knew where to find is not where it used to be. Hey ,nobody really likes change, but I promise: everything’s still here, you’ll get it eventually. I believe the new design is more in line with how this blog has evolved now into a more diverse scene website. I’ve put the main categories at the top, so that people interested only in a specific console can check it out instantly.
Last but not least, it should look much better than the older theme on your tablets and mobile phones.
Thank you Tarki for your service, and long live to our new theme “Hueman”
Ok, I’m ready for the hate comments, fire at will!

The first comment on the new theme 🙂
The theme looks good and modern. I think its the right decision.
NO I”M FIRST
derppppp the old design are betterrrrrrr
(That what they said in youtube design……..then after one week they liked it)
I still hate Youtube’s new design. Too much extra loading of scripts and stuff. Just leave it simple HTML text, pages load quicker too that way.
How do you pronounce “derppppp”? I would have written “derrrrrp”, as I don’t know how to elongate the pronounciation of a “p”…
Color me impressed. Much easier to read on my phone. And aesthetically, it is way more appealing 🙂
The ads at the bottom of the post look terrible…
Fair enough. This is just a test for now and I am not sure I will keep those. I will tweak them. Is this the content of the ads, or their layout?
Well in my opinion both the content and the layout of the ads are odd. Mostly the content.
The site looks great Wololo !!! One recommendation would be to use disqus for the comments section as it has the notification system and you can use personalized accounts 😀
We need something that applies to us, for example hack a day advertises electronics, get rid of the forced mobile theme
NOoooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! It was so a beautifull day til now!
On a phone it’s very baffling but so much readable. Need a little time to get used.
I feel like I’ve gone through a culture shock, it’ll take some time to get used to, but this one loads much faster for me compared to the old one.
I liked the old theme but I’m happy with the change. It’s a lot nicer on my mobile too. Nice work
new blog lay out is super cool on any device wololo u rock.
it has more color and lively than usual i dont mind,, bright bright bright sponsors advertisements haha but i almost cant tell the difference of the blog post and the advertisements
I don’t like. What I loved about the old site was the fact it was just text and simple. Like BBC or NeoGAF. I hate sites with this kind of design. For example I used to browse Joystiq and Kotaku when they had simple text designs, but after they did all this fancy stuff I stopped browsing them.
On the bright side I see above that it has mobile formatting now, and it certainly makes things look more professional.
Its awful on the PSV browser.
Latest /talk topics is gone? Blog poster’s name is missing as well.
I hate this 2.0 era where square design trend is brought down our throat to satisfy mobiles.
I’ll be in the minority and say not for me, désoler mais sa fait chier.
wololo.net/?throwback=1 mode please
Great idea. For those of us that want the old design, just keep a URL like that. I remember Kotaku had this at first but sadly they discarded it.
Other than you the low res images it looks better.
-you (i can’t edit comments)
Sorry to say, but this sucks very much. Worst template. I want the old one back.
switching to dark mode……….. now!
didn’t work….. f!k
Love it!
Works better on my phone, though the comment box should be above the comments, it can take forever to get to the bottom if there are a lot of comments.
Finally, this blog is readable on mobile devices! Haven’t see how it looks on a regular screen yet but it can’t be worst than the old theme.
The true shitstorm will commence when the forum changes their theme to use a responsive one (cutting down all Tapatalk complaints since it won’t be necessary).
The other option would be waiting for phpbb 3.1 when the default theme is responsive aware but the wait would be too long.
Preeeeeeetty.
I prefer the old one. This new design did not work well in my feedly (RSS feed).
It’s about time.. welcome in 2014 !
In the past year i wanted to post on the forum and propose it or tell you to upgrade WP and get a new theme.. or offer to make a custom theme.. but i figured that you wouldn’t let anybody do it.. so i didn’t bother…
I like theme on the blog part.. but i think the home page need to change too..
The new site looks great!
Looks pretty good, sir. Was a shock at first but i have to say it’s better than the old one now that i’m used to it. A small, tiiiny useless nitpick though, if you zoom out all the way (hold ctrl and scroll the mouse wheel down), the image you used for the sides is kinda…ugly, haha. Otherwise, nice choice.
This scares me. I don’t like change. Each time Firefox updates I work to bring it back to look like Firefox 4.
In all seriousness, it is a nice layout and makes much better use of screen real estate than the previous layout.
Nice new design! But it’s not loading full articles on Feedly, forcing me to load the web page 🙁
Still very good job for mobile devices.
Hey Wololo the template looks awesome a lot easier to search exactly what topic i am looking for thanks. =D
Not too bad on my iPad at least. On my iphone it’s ugly. It looks like a mobile web page or app to access the site. Have desktop option for our phones. I hate mobile web pages. I thought the old layout was fine except needing a header design change which you did. I still don’t care for it but it’s not gonna stop me from visiting here.
Nice! Though there’s some strange font issue in Chrome with 150% scaling

I preferred the old look&feel . Anyway , many people like me have a traditional mindset , we are narrow-minded. After 1 month of watching the new version , we will forget the old stuff . It always happens , we sooner or later adapt ourselves.
But today , what you get is a “I don’t like it” 🙂
I am myself not fond of change. This is why I kept the old design for so long.
But it was starting to show its limitations. With more and more people browsing with tablets and phones, I had to do something. “double tap to zoom” on one’s phone is fun but at some point I had to do something about it 🙂
I suggest you add-in the pro version of http://www.addthis.com/ they have the nicest buttons and you can share to 150+ networks…
looks good, so “modern” 😀
hopefully it will now relaod properly, always had to use Ctrl+F5 in firefox to see new post, if it’s not the first time i openened the page in a session
Wowlolo!! :D:D
I am shock about this new design but its terrible. Ofcourse its ok to have this as mobile viewing yet you can have the old design when using PC (desktop mode). In other sites there is a mobile view and a desktop view. Hope wololo can seperate this kind of matter. I like the old one because it is unique and simple and l do not mind if there is a mobile view.
Please go die…
Actually no, that’s a bit harsh. Maybe just get ready to hurt yourself depending on how well the adjusting goes. That’s fair?
Anyways, besides the strange, yet uninteresting background, the now super plain and somewhat out of place title and tagline at the top and the floating footer that stretches out across the whole of the bottom of my monitor… It’s not that bad.
If you could get a better background, jazz up the title section and either align the page footer with the bottom of the page and or make it only as wide as the page body background (?) section. Then I think this site would be pretty darn godlike.
Well that’s just my worthless opinion as a site lurker with little to no web design experience.
Also to see why I dislike the footer unless you’re already at a 1440p or greater resolution, try zooming out a but just to see how strange it looks.
Considering I read this blog on my phone it is a very welcome change. The theme looks very slick and nice. Good job wololo.
Some sort of account system for the comments would be a great addition but other than that I’m very happy.
Yo wololo love the new look…keep on keeping on bro…
Great move..looks good
Came to check the blog from my phone, got shocked after seeing the new design, then saw this post. Awesome! Thanks wololo! 😀
Btw when we post comments the page shouldn’t refresh, smilies should be updated to a new look, & editing comments should be allowed. Just suggesting.,
Bout God Dam Time.
I feel the page is now really clustered and that the tabs and this comment box are the only improvements but meh you can’t always have what you want…
I think it is because of the way that the adds are white and the articles are in the middle which makes it harder to read. Ever put all the adds to the right or insert a colored background around them.
Dislike it. But it’s your website, and it doesn’t change the actual material you post so it isn’t a big deal.
One word: EPIC
