How to transfer psp games without the update? Open CMA is not working with 3.01.

if you’re on 3.01 then you must be using TN-V8? then you can use the FTP feature in there.

      1. Launch the FTP Connection on the XMB, Settings column. FTP Server will start and show a url.
      2. On PC, click on Start Button and do Search, type the url on VITA screen. a folder will open, it is your VITA-PSP root storage.
      3. On the root storage, create a folder named ISO.
      4. Copy your PSP ISOs to the ISO folder. copy speed will based on your internet upload speed. so if you have slow upload speed (like me) it will be slow.
      5. Once ISO finished copying, stop FTP on VITA and go to Game column, Memory Stick. your games will be there and no need to install or whatever.

this method is the only way i can transfer ISOs to my vita right now on 3.01. the bad thing is that if your VITA goes into Standby mode, the FTP Connection drops. so gotta keep touching the VITA screen to keep it from going into Standby. and the copying speed. with my slow internet upload speed, it takes a while for a big ISO to finish.

        Just use qcma
1- put ur vita in airplane mode
        2-restart ur vita
3-make sure there is no cma running on ur pc
4-run qcma and connect ur vta to the pc via usb and that’s it

This won’t push games through for me. The ONLY thing that continues to download is that *** firmware update. FFS..

  3. apology says:

I think this method has been blocked by sony; it worked a week ago for me for 3.01/3.10 now it doesnt work…

So does this still work? I did everything above, but nothing is happening on my Vita. Not sure if I’m signed in or not(and if I’m not, there’s no way to sign in, since everytime I go to Settings > PSN it tells me to update). Also, I’m on version 3.01.

  6. Barnabe says:

    Same here

It worked 2 weeks ago, but not today anymore :(.
I am on version 3.01 too.

  13. shadowcopalypse says:

up until what firmware does this work?

  14. MrFwibbles says:

Working on 3.55 right now. If it’s not working for you, make sure you’re not using VitaUpdateBlocker.

  15. Fernando says:

If it doesnt download imediately, just shutdown and restart your vita, its working on 3.55 this way

  16. Planetis says:

Does it work on FW 1.8…?

  17. Strider Hiryu says:

Does your PS Vita need to be activated in order to make this trick work? Once I get to the part where I attempt to download the Loco Poco Midnight Carnival Demo, I am able to get to the Download List. Only problem is that the button only says “Download…” followed by a link on “How to activate your device.” Should I attempt to download a full game instead? I’m trying to install the TN-V11 exploit on my PS Vita on 3.18 without an exploited game.

    Thanks for your help 🙂
