So, we had a new Ninja release for you, but…
A few minutes ago, we announced that game Ben 10 Alien Force: Vilgax Attacks has a vulnerability that lets it run TotalNoob’s TN-V4. We had an ongoing Ninja release (letting our community secretly know of the exploited game), unfortunately it seems Sony was made aware of the release, and pulled the game from their store before we could announce it publicly. At this point, as far as I can tell, and based on information from The Z, the game has been pulled from all stores where it was available.
If somehow you are lucky enough to still be able to grab the game, good for you (Keep in mind that it’s that specific game, not any other one in the series). Most likely though, this is over.
I can’t know for sure how Sony was made aware of this release, but it is probably a combination of factors. This just confirms that the best way for you to get the ninja releases in time is to regularly check your account on /talk. All of our /talk members were made aware of the release up to several days before it was removed from the stores.
Skip the rest of the article if you don’t feel like reading a rant today.
I’d like to come back a bit to leaks. We regularly see two types of leaks: people who think they are “helping” by spreading the information, and people who think we are an elitist site trying to keep the information just for a few selected people; these guys typically decide to spread the information widely, in this blog’s comment, or on 4chan, etc…
Please be aware that both types of leaks are harmful to the release and to the community, and we take action against all leakers, independently of their intent. Leak in the comments of this blog, in PM on neogaf, on 4chan, or anywhere else, and there’s a chance you won’t get the release at all next time, or worse.
It is not that we don’t want the information to spread, it’s that we want it to spread in a controlled way: the people *you* trust in your community are not the people *we* decided to trust with the information.
The choice is up to you of course, but if your goal is really to help, keep that in mind: by leaking the information, you’re not helping.
Eventually, the PSP hackers will all be tired of leaks, and we just won’t share any more exploits at all. After doing about 15 ninja releases in 2 years, we have good statistical information about who we can really trust with the information, and we could decide to share the information with only that limited subset of people (we’re talking roughly a hundred people here). We wouldn’t even mention there’s an exploit; we would enjoy the exploit on our consoles forever, without the community knowing about it. The people really hurt by this will be the thousands of honest users in our community who have never leaked a single time, but have ended in our “not sure we can trust” list (because there’s so far we can go in being 100% sure about 1 single person)
All of the above of course assumes leakers are genuinely trying to help (which I believe is true in the majority of cases). If your goal by leaking is to mess up the community, you succeeded. On the other hand if your goal is to go on a personal vendetta against a specific hacker or me, leaking these releases is not achieving your expected goal: hackers and myself have other exploits. The ones being hurt are the gamers community, not us.
So when I read things such as “f#ck elitism” on a 4chan leak, it just makes me laugh. Calling us elitists, when PSP hackers have collectively released more than 50 exploits on this site over the past 5 years, is beyond inaccurate. By leaking, you are doing exactly the opposite of your intent: since it is more and more obvious we can’t trust 40’000 people with a secret, we’ll just keep the secret to ourselves. Congratulations, you are the one turning hackers into elitists.

Man that really sucks. This was the first ninja release I ever was able to receive and I was super excited. I feel bad for the community that was sc*** over by leakers. I think It is truly unfair. Hackers and wololo devote THEIR OWN TIME just for leakers to come and screw it up. Anyway, I am sorry for this bullcrap.
On a very selfish note, I can’t wait for the files to be released for those lucky enough to get it.
It was the people who yoi thought could be trusted.
What’s a stupid morons – no comments :// Yeah better support most “elitist” $ony ://
Theres a member on the forums that contacts sony through a special hotline not the psn network or any found information online. My friend who works at sony style told me this and he does not lie.
Idea: exploit-release countdown, instead of ninja release 😀
The entire point of a ninja release is that Sony won’t pull it until it is publicly released. Sony can prepare for a countdown release, thereby limiting the number of users further than even a leaked ninja release.
They can make a countdown release on Saturday, for example. They won’t pull it till Monday.
Damn… I have never shared information from this site and I intend on keeping it that way… it is a shame that there’s people out there that think that hackers are bad, well, not all of the hackers are bad, I can say almost none…
Lier, you shared it on Twitter before it was publicly announced.
Welp, looks like I won’t have to worry about keeping up with the exploits for Vita homebrew anymore, because thanks to some yahoo who decided to leak the release, we’ll never know what the exploited game required to have homebrew on our Vita is anymore.
It is Ben 10 Alien Force: Vilgax Attacks.
that guy is miserable, “i grabed it so i will *** all others”
Wololo, always will exists people like that… sadly
Damn, that’s deep but its true. I opened my talk and saw the game has been removed and imedeatly thought LEAKER. Its sad that we still have people trying to destroy a good thing that is free to the community. Fortunately I have the field run er exploit and will be updating to 2.12 to take advantave of the extra memory (n64 full speed, keeping my fingers crossed). Thank you to the community for all its devotion, minus the leakers.
..i just read the notes above but some i dont understand..!!the heck happen…some people are so stupid to tell the exploits damn…why all of trusted people just shut their mouth when they know the exploit?!!!! damn…well atleast wololo trusted me…and tnx for that….goodbye for the future gamers that are not lucky to have an exploited game..!!
what is this the third? exploit that did not make it to the public? It has only been less than 24 hour since I saw the name. I guess sony will be releasing a firmware soon, I just updated too.WT*
that is so bad,
there is always a few selfish people live in this world, it is pity that we have this situation
“I can’t know for sure how Sony was made aware of this release”
Perhaps they simply made an account and logged in to /talk
This is terrible because TN-V4 is really an amazing release and helps set the vita apart as a great handheld. If all the leaks ruin public releases and everything stays internal it will be just like what happened to the ps3 scene which would be horrible.
they could have done that for ANY release.(anyone can register for the forums) this was obviously due to somebody who doesn’t understand the concept of a ninja release, or doesn’t appreciate that it’s a kindness to be included in this
Damn that leakers! You ruined the entire community in the scene! -_- well atleast wololo thanks a bunch. I am always checking the /talk forum and luckily I got the game before it got pulled. Merry Christmas by the way and to all of you. (except those leakers!)
And thanks to Ice(Kankjeter) who discovered this exploit.and to all other hackers in the scene. Sadly this maybe the last exploit for all of us. -_-
Man, I was very fortunate to get a ninja release the day before it was official on the previous one for “Monster Hunter” so long ago that I felt I wanted to update my vita to the latest so that I can enjoy all the benefits, when the ninja release of “101-in-1 Megamix” came, I was glad and have been happy with it since. After noticing I was allowed to see the next ninja release, I figured that was really awesome to see it way ahead of time. Only to realize that somebody leaked it so now others can’t enjoy what we are able to is pretty sad.
I understand everything that is being said and just want to say thank you for doing your best for the community and hope that there may possibly be a next time for future people.
Good luck Wololo, I hope you are able to find out who started the leaking as the internet does have time stamps on things these days.
theres always atleast one clown thats gota ruin it for the rest of us. snitches get stiches….now i gota keep waiting again. I think that by “ratting to sony” made ppl like myself more loyal to my hacking brethren and our community. *** me off we got rats in our nest. keep up the good job for those at wololo who tryn their best to make our ps vita and etc experience 1000 times better.
Well I have been glued to this site for 48 hours. I spent the last of my money on a psn card. And waited here for the release. Oh by the way im a member and was not notified. Now I cant get tnv5. Im pretty unhappy.
you can get it (or the previous game) if you have a ps3
I am an aspiring developer learning to program majoring in computer science and electrical engineering. I missed the intial release and also this release due to being out all day “Having a life”. I am quite angry about this. I intend to help as much as i can with cfw and exploits as my skills grow. This tragedy for me, and thousands of others, has honestly made an impact on how practical I think it is to devote my time to finding exploits and coding for the vita. If a comunity of brilliant minds pulls together to create something beautiful only to be thwarted by stupidity while attempting to contribute to society, why bother? The damage caused by this leak radiates not only through this comunity but thousands of others. Truly a sad day for digital freedom and a win for oppression. I have been around since the beginning of psp hacking a lek wasnt that bad back then being that security was weaker on the psp. Leaking now does much more damage and sets the scene back months rather than days. My aplogies for being long winded, I am very disappointed. Thank you Wololo, Total_Noob, TheZ YifanLu, CoolBird and the countless others especially Dark_Alex you are all my inspiration.
someone leak it from those who are chosen to be trusted.
True. We regularly refine the list of trusted users, but there’s so far we can go. At that point, there is an “inner” circle of about a hundred “extremely trusted” users who get the information ahead of time, the rest is mostly just based on “hope”.
That’s unfortunate. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to purchase the title in time. Can I still expect a loader for the title…?
Thank you for all your effort.
Yes, we will release
I Was really hoping for this release. Merry Christmas 🙁
I purchased it 😮 , will there still be an exploit for this ;o I hope so soon
I think it’s too early for now to say that psp hackers will all be tired of leaks. Look at Megamix, correct me if i’m wrong, the game even lasted for 3 days after the public announcement.
Guys give him time, leave him alone to get his thoughts together, when he feels like it he will release the files. Everyone lost hope so fast. Patience is key, but in this case some individuals were not so good at doing so. Like a couple people said I think too that some Sony Employers slipped through the radar. But having said that, as Wololo was saying he and his team have seen the leaks floating around after the name was released. I was lucky to register a week ago, and be online last night when I was just about to close my computer I decided to check my email, and saw the glorious email of destiny. And was lucky to get it in time.
Thanks Wololo and Every other freedom fighter for all their hard work to help us the community to get what we desire.
When are the files for the exploit going to be released.
I’m a new ps vita owner. I bought one because of the awesome community here. Thank you for all the wonderful things you guys do overall. I was lucky enough to buy the Ben 10. It’s a shame one bad apple can spoil the crop. You guys still rock.
I got a pm from someone in the talk/forums asking me for the exploit game (and of course, I didn’t reply). I can print screen the message if you want. Maybe he’s the one who leaked it.
Thanks Wololo and many more for you hard work…Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.Dont let one person destroy our community. :)Thanks
To those that leaked the name of the ninja release or to the single person that has caused this uproar you should be ashamed of yourself. I was not fortunate enough to get said game due to work and was hoping to get it when I got home only to find out that it had been pulled. I think that it is a disgrace for someone to stoop so low as to ruin it for everyone.. I just hope that maybe just maybe that we can see future updates to TN-V. However with that being said perhaps there could be something implemented so that no future leaks happen. I do understand how the developers of the exploits get rather irritated due to such carelessness due to someone being ignorant by leaking files or what have you that they had spent their time and efforts in bringing such outstanding and excitingly new ways to specific handhelds and consoles for the community. Thanks Total_Noob, Wololo, Acid_Snake Dark Alex, and countless others whom which has given the community countless homebrew, CFW, Plugins, etc. I appologize for the rant but I think that it is needed because maybe if there are future updates if any those that are thinking about leaking any files when hey have been told not to that they will think twice before doing it again. As it has been said before by Wololo you aren’t helping the community by being a leaker and you are gaining anything by doing so either.
lucky enough to get a copy yesterday. Kept my mouth shut like i was told and still some fool goes and leaks. This is unacceptable, devs work hard to find exploits, develop for us at no charge so we can use our consoles the way it we choose. The least one can do is follow a few simple rules… Its frustrating for the rest of us who do.
Honestly I think you should consider getting rid of the ninja release Wololo, seeing as people leak it anyways I think waiting it out a tad bit longer rather than to have it leaked too early, it saves all of us the trouble really, and while it is nice to benefit members with early access, its even nicer to make sure everyone gets it at a defined point in time. I’ve been with this scene and others for quite sometime but I do truly think this could help.
the ninja release method has generally been more effective
Wololo thanks for all the help to us!!! Damn leakersss
As someone stated above, maybe someone just created a forum username to see the ninja release? There may have been a leaker, but I’m sure someone at Sony already knows that wololo.net is a reliable source of information and has been a forum member long enough to see the ninja releases at a certain point.
Guys how big is the game file
Hi Wololo,
I just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work. I was able to use the Monster Hunter exploit when it was released thanks to you and all the helpful people who try to answer questions for the less experienced computer users like myself. I no longer have my old ps vita but when I heard the news of a new ninja release I asked all my relatives for money and was able to get enough to buy a used ps vita. Sadly when I logged on to the psn network today the game needed for the exploit was already gone. I hope you decide to let us know about a new exploit when the time comes or when you feel appropriate (I’m sure most of us who were not able to get in on this release feel the same). Again thank you for all your hard work.
This sucks i hate when people leak stuff to sony thank god i got 101in1. My friend got Ben 10 before they pulled it he is lucky.
i am so disappointed that i missed this. i checked this morning and now and i missed it :(. How can i get on this Ninja release? i would like to get next exploit.
wololo thanks for the ninja release been following your website and hbl since i got my psp go and patapon to play homebrews. when i got ben 10 on the us psn there was a value pack that included all four psp games for $15 not sure if that one was taken down yet.
Thats been taken down on US Psn.

Umm, didn’t you guys release the ben 10 ninja release a few days ago? I was on the forum and it showed up on the top page, I clicked on it and it said it was that ben 10 game. This was on the 17th, I downloaded it right away and have been waiting for the exploit ever since.
That’s the private Ninja release. Its been pulled before public announcement. From leaks, this is why we can’t have nice things. Lucky I have King of Pool on 2.12.
Forgot to add, I just got the email at 8pm last night and thought it was weird the email was getting sent out so late. So this was definitely an error on your end (wololo.net), if I saw it on the 17th then I am sure someone at Sony saw it also.
The email was intentionally sent fairly late in the game to limit the leaks, the ninja release starts way before it. I did send the email only after basically every single member of the site could see the release.
Yes. Trusted users get the information ahead of time. Leaks tend to happen when about 5’000 to 10’000 people are aware of the release. As I said, in concept the ninja release does work, the people we trust get the information in time. It just sucks for the other 95% of the community
Too bad there is not an sms system I also have missed the last few days in the matter of seconds
btw ty wololo and other developers who contributed their time to make our ps vita so much fun and im one of the lucky member that they trust and got the 101 in 1 exploit and now i feel sorry for other gamers that dont have a chance to have an exploit…and for those *** who leak the game i hope you brick your cheap vita and never get fix …you ***!!!
