Yeah, classy tweet from Microsoft, very cool of them. I’m a bit worried about the controller ‘issue’ though, at $60 each, I don’t wanna have to replace mine :/

    • squiggly says:

Yea, games with gold is cool for XB1. I’m happy about this! And the PS4 controller issue I thought was interesting because mine started doing the same thing after about 8 hours of play. I have never had this happen with any of my other controllers before. I will contact Sony about this, maybe they will replace it.

    Something cool from micro$hit?
I know something not cool, they are stopping games for windows live on july 1st 2014, means every game with the *ucking gfwl $hit will either stop working or in best case you will not be able to play multi.
All those games relying on the microsoft servers for activation will be complete obsolete paperweights.
THIS IS NOT COOL. I’M POINTING MY FINGER AT YOU, MICROSOFT, SHAME ON YOU AND I WISH YOU A BAD START ON YOUR XBONE, AND ANOTHER RROD DESASTER.

For those ps4 controllers, this squishy rubber thingy does not look solid and sturdy. :/

I have been using my DS4 since I got it on the 1st of this month (a friday in the southern hemisphere)

The rubber they use is almost exactly the same as the DS3 and has shown no tack or wear at all… I even have sweaty hands and have had no issues. This said I don’t dig my nails in or try and wear the thumb sticks down with bad behavior…

Actually not only have I been using the controller a lot but I also have the bad habit of twiddling it’s thumbsticks while watching TV shows so I don’t jiggle my legs, it may change and it may fall apart in the future, but I doubt it.

      • Thrawn says:

Well judging from those pictures, a few look like caused by fingernails scratching over the surface.
And maybe a few have a production damage, but that big rip looks like it was caused from falling and landing on the analog stick.
This is what I think could have caused those damages.

    • Dmaskell92 says:

I agree, how can they do this? I have already forsaken Microsoft when they blamed me for 3 RROD consoles. I can see a game going down because of low population, but the entire GFWL?

      • Thrawn says:

BECAUSE, GFWL $UCK$ hard. It did not do what it was supposed to, 90% of the time it was failing -> crashing, not connecting, freaking out, or even rendering your original key useless.
Most devs saw that and soon they abandoned that platform, going to steam, apparently there are some real stubborn ones that tied themselves to GFWL, for example C(R)APCOM.
Even microsoft abandoned its OWN platform and began publishing games on their direct competition.
AND now, it’s finally dying, I don’t know if I should cry for loosing my games, or if I should celebrate for this horrible abomination to go down the toilet and then to heck.

    • Me says:

They’re being patched, quit being a baby.

      • Thrawn says:

Really? I guess you have evidence for that?
        Post me that link, please.
So far I only know of SEVEN GAMES that have abandoned the GFWL Virus and you can use your retail key in steam, and Bioshock 2 is one of them.
All others, nothing heard of, and I’m already following the steam thread of t(h)urd party drm.
        And also this -> http://tinyurl.com/pyzq5lo
Halo 2 -> dead, Gears of war -> dead, Dead Rising 2 retail -> dead,… the list goes on, here is a wiki link: http://tinyurl.com/okcyyrf
AND what about the DLC stuff? Another story.

Should have talked about bf4 for ps4 on how much trouble its having… For me it deleted my campaign , twice… And can’t even access a 64 multi player server … Not just me who is experiencing this. a lot of people are.. I am *** off!!!! Fix this *** already

    • mike24 says:

I’m mean we pay over 400 bucks for a ps4, 65 bucks for bf4 , 10 bucks for a digital copy, which is 34gb, and pay for PS plus so we play online only to find out this *** ain’t working the way it should. We pay a hefty price to enjoy our favorite game and favorite brand name, Sony, to get *** in return.. Man Alive..

    • itsdicefault says:

well, it’s DICE fault, not the PS4. They host their own server.

    an topic?

  6. BahamutBBob says:

“a game can actually be updated to make it native 1080p?”

I don’t see why not. With most PC games, you can choose whatever resolution you want, as long as the game and your monitor support it. If they cleaned up some code so it could render faster, they could force it to output at 1080p.

About controllers, so far IMO it’s a mixed bag. The analogs are really uncomfortable. The bump at the edge feels too “sharp” and the rounded middle just feels a bit too high, more easily pushing my thumbs towards the sharp edges. I’m also not a fan of the L2/R2 buttons still being the controller’s feet.

  9. gunblade says:

so the ps4 no big issue jus got to mode it out of the box

  10. Spectrum says:

My PS4 controller hasn’t done this, sucks that it happens though, I’ve never had anything like that happen to a first-party controller.
Otherwise I love the design, I do personally prefer it to the totally convex design.
