So as the title suggests, this weeks news round-up will be focusing on everything that happened at Gamescom that you may have missed, like, did you know that MS released some screenshots of their OS menu? Or that every Xbox One in Europe comes with Fifa 14 for free? Or even that Sony announced multiple colours for their DS4 controllers? AND the box art and release date for GT6? Oh, you did? 22 new games in 3 days. Not bad.

Vita news itself now, well first of all I’ll mirror what JD8531 posted earlier in the week – that the Vita got a price cut to $199/EUR199 and also all memory card prices were slashed by $/EUR 10 each. There was no official price drop in the UK from Sony, but retailer GAME and Zavvi have plummeted the price of the console down to £179.99 in GAME, and in Zavvi, it’s an amazing £143.99. If you are tempted to buy a second Vita for exploits and one for latest OFW, now’s the time.

We’ve finally got a new ‘trailer’ for FFX|X-2 HD remaster, and it consists of battle comparisons from the PS2 version and the re-master version. It’s pretty amazing what they’ve done, the text, icons and menus have been re-done and look great as well.

 

The 15 yeah old Gran Turismo got it’s box art announced at the Sony’s conference, both normal edition and ’15 year anniversary’ edition:

 

At Sony’s Gamescom conference they told us the release date, I’ve already told you this but what I forgot to mention what countries it’ll be shipping to! Silly me!

It will be shipping to 32 countries on the respective date . Here they are:

So there you have it, all of the countries that will have the PS4 in their homeland on the announced dates at Gamescom, as for countries that aren’t in there, you’ll most likely be getting it in 2014, unfortunately.

 

Once again Xbox mess up.. on their facebook page. They’ve put up a post advertising PS3 exclusive The Last Of Us tagged ‘Xbox Booth At Gamescom – No Brainer!’

They’ve made mistakes a couple of times before, where they put Killzone Shadowfall in a compilation of pictures:

As I mentioned above, Sony has announced new coloured controllers for the console, blue and red. Here’s what they look like:

On to game play now, below are gameplay videos for Driveclub, Battlefield, Knack, AC4, Killzone and Gran Turismo 6.

In my local GAME store, there’s a giant poster which outlines the games on each console, and multi-platform games on each console. It’s a great idea but can you see the mistakes?

Also, Final Fantasy XV and finally, Kingdom Hearts 3 aren’t exclusives are they?

The Dark Sorcerer is a tech demo.

The Witness is a timed exclusive.

In any case, to the unknowing gamer that will be upgrading to next-gen it’s another sale for PS4 purely because they thought KH3 and FFXV are exclusives. Because of that retailers mistakes.
