I’ll get straight to it, PlayStation+ Update (EU) a hell of a lot new Xbox One news, Serious Sam 4, and here comes the bad news… Zynga has struck of 18% of their staff.
Dear Minimur, would you please be so kind enough to give us the Vita news first?
Damn, that’s a good list!
Looks pretty awesome, I’ve always wanted a game where you can use your hair as fists….
I’m thinking about introducing a new segment to the weekly. PS4 game announcements. What do you think? I want your feedback so leave it below, along with anything that would improve this.
From what I found, the three games announced this week were:
One of the first games to utilise the power of the Unreal 4 engine, showcased at the February event a while back. It is a psychological thriller, but it has a different take on it. The games play through itself is about 40 minutes, but throughout the game you find notes. And these are what supply you with the story etc.
This game is already on PC, as a free-to-play game, yet another! and looks pretty cool. It’s a multiplayer third person co-op shooter,
This game, from the trailer seems like a zombie survival game, I am loving the trailer to it, it shows the element of desperation, loss of friends, and hope. Along with an awesome totally badass soundtrack ( before you comment what your about to comment, I already know.) Oh, and it’s made by the developers who made Dead Island.
Another new game is called ‘lightedy light light’ it’s just a rumour made up by myself, but it’s possible.
What’s this? More free stuff? This regards the EU PlayStation in which the PlayStation+ has had a yearly update, so the new games will stay on there for the year. The games are:
Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception
Little Big Planet: Karting
Xcom Enemy Unknown
I have only played one of these games, being Uncharted 3, I loved it so much played it about 5 times. I am seriously thinking about getting PS Plus now, LBP Karting looks great.
Hey? Even MORE free things?
Anyone ever played Tekken? No? Didn’t think so…
Anyway, if you care, a new free-to-play Tekken game has been announced, not a trading card game this time, the full monty! Well maybe not that… but it IS an original Tekken game. There has been a trailer for it, and here it is:
Best. Soundtrack. Ever.
The game will be available on Tuesday, the day after Sony’s E3 conference.
Metal Gear Rising : Revengance.
It has been announced that the game is getting a PC release, not sure when, but all they simply said was…. ‘soon’
Zynga, the infamous games publisher that has the pleasure of saying “we have made many people addicted to strange, farm simulator Facebook games, and we’re proud”
After this news, an AMAA (Ask Me Almost Anything) showed up on Reddit, the answerer being an ex-Zynga employee, there’s a link to it here.
It’s pretty eye opening, and they seem like a good company, but their business plan isn’t too good the ex-employee says, and thinks they’ll be around for just another 2 years being as the boss is throwing money left right and centre, and is convinced it’s the right business strategy
What? I’m not level 90 on FarmVille. *eyes shift left to right*
Serious Sam. The feature of this weeks humble bundle. The creators of the game, Croteam, have announced that the money earned from the humblebundle sales, will fund their new game. Serious Sam 4, believe it or not. Fancy reading a bit more? Well then, you’re going to have to click here then, aren’t you?
For those interested in the Deus Ex franchise, a new game has been announced. Known as Deus Ex: The Fall.
Before you get too happy about playing it on your PS4 or Xbox One, it is a mobile game. Yep.
To be fair, mobile games are increasing in quality more an more, so I’m hoping it’s ported to the Vita, as it looks pretty cool.
Its fan base wasn’t too impressed by it though, calling it a cash-cow and renaming it to;
Deus Ex: The FAIL
Here’s a video for it:
Looks pretty cool.
Xbox Xbox Xbox, what are we going to do with you, eh?
There has been plenty more info on it, it’s used games policy( which is reasonably good news) and also it’s connectivity to the Internet.
Microsoft released a statement saying that the Xbox one requires a Internet connection every 24 hours. We already knew that though, but what we didn’t know that of you sign in to on someone else’s Xbox, an Internet connection is needed very 1 hour. If you don’t have an Internet connection after that, you can’t play any games.
With Xbox One you can game offline for up to 24 hours on your primary console, or one hour if you are logged on to a separate console accessing your library. Offline gaming is not possible after these prescribed times until you re-establish a connection, but you can still watch live TV and enjoy Blu-ray and DVD movies.
We can still watch TV and movies? Oh Microsoft, you spoil us!
Now on to the used games kerfuffle, they announced that there will be no activation fee, so things are as normal, right? Well, it turns out that publishers can opt in and out of the possibility to support used games or not. This is what it says on their website:
In our role as a game publisher, Microsoft Studios will enable you to give your games to friends or trade in your Xbox One games at participating retailers. Third party publishers may opt in or out of supporting game resale and may set up business terms or transfer fees with retailers. Microsoft does not receive any compensation as part of this. In addition, third party publishers can enable you to give games to friends
You can give games to friends? Let’s elaborate on that…
Xbox One is designed so game publishers can enable you to give your disc-based games to your friends. There are no fees charged as part of these transfers. There are two requirements: you can only give them to people who have been on your friends list for at least 30 days and each game can only be given once.
So, you can only give someone a game if they’ve been in your friends list for 30 days or more, no renting, loaning, or anythign like that. Great.
For those who haven’t looked at Watch_Dogs Facebook page in the last 36 hours, they posted a picture on there which mocks the Xbox One’s requirement of a constantly connected Kinect sensor, the picture is below, and what I mean by mock, is that the angle of which the picture is taken seems like it is taken from a Kinect ( it could be an eyetoy, but still. )
The Photo-Realism Challenge: Physics - TStrauss confuses us again with his mind bending knowledge.
PSIO. Playing .iso files on the PlayStation One without a mod chip or disc. - Tonakai reported on something called PSIO, something that lets you play ISO games without the disc….wait, what?!
E3 Primer, What You Need To Know. - I tell you lot on what you need to know if you want to follow E3 this year
Konami’s E3 Pre-show: The Phantom Pain, PES 2014 and a new Castlevania! - Hgoel0974 reportson the Konami Pre-E3 show they hosted, it brought plenty of new information and Keifer Sutherland is the new voice actor!
Scam of the day: psvitaisogames.com. Full Free Vita ISO games are not so free… - Want a PS Vita ISO game? well I wouldn’t go here, because it’s not even possible to start off with.
Awesome thing of the week:
Well, actually, I’m level 89 on FarmVille. So HA!
